Long overdue and a great start but still needs a little work. Any free offers should show up under offers, not messages, and getting to messages from the main screen is difficult, not intuitive. I had to hunt around a bit and eventually just clicked on the profile button and the options came up for messages. then, even when I added the free offer, it did not show up in the cart, it wasn't clear that I had to first order the chicken sandwich then apply the free offer for this to work.

After adding my payment method, the app automatically placed an order. I went to order history to check and it showed "No past orders.". I get an email later saying that they recieved my order. I went back in the app to double check and it still said "no past orders". So, I got charged $5.33 without me EVER ordering. SO PISSED!
It's not worth the download and storage. I can never place an app through the app. All of the menu items aren't available on the app. Example: Bojangle has had the smoke sausage biscuit available for years, and it's still not on the app for order. The rewards or coupon offers could never be used. I honestly thought the goal for this app was to make sure you can keep your more of your profits than and / or cause less traffic for third-party apps ( DD, GH, UBE).
I hate leaving negative feedback, but there are a couple of problems with the app. First, when I click sign in/sign up, my only option is to sign up, not sign in, but I already made an account, so I just want to sign in. Second issue is that when I place an order, it tells me to let bojangles know when I arrive, but I don't see any kind of button on the app to do that, so I either have to go inside or call to let them know, which pretty much defeats the purpose of using an app.
App never wants to work, get different errors every time. There's an offer to redeem for a free steak biscuit. The first day I tried to redeem it, when I tried inputting payment method it froze and wouldn't allow me to add it. The second time I added the biscuit to my cart and clicked apply offer and it said my order didn't contain an eligible item. You released your app many years after other chains and yet it is less than functional!
I use a number of restaurant apps. I ordered on this app today, thought my total didn't add up. When I dug in to find out why, I found my receipt in the order history. They charged me a .50 service fee. #1, are you kidding. #2 where do you notify people of this, buried in the terms and conditions. Something like that deserves a pop up. If you're going to charge a service charge to order on your app, keep it. I'll order at the cashier, if I come back at all. That's pretty shady.
App changed date of order to the next day even though the store was open. No option to cancel order on app, and no customer support on the app either. Definitely the worst of the food service apps. Have sent many emails and talked to managers, but no help from anyone. Managers don't even know how to use the app. Paid $60 for chicken I never received. I'll miss their fries, but I'm never ordering Bojangles again.
This app is NOT like Chick-fil-A's or McDonald's where it uses your location to know when to start preparing your food. I selected the location nearest me, but it reverted back to the location I used last time, which was 25 minutes away. In addition, there is no way to customize your order. You don't want ice? Too bad, you're getting ice. Only way to redeem a reward is to place an order via the app. Can't just show a code on your phone. You can't order a sale item on the app either. :(
Worst app in design and functionality! I finally figured out how to use offers (have faith and add to order, then apply at checkout), more often than not the app just gives me the humping chicken and doesn't work. This time it lost my credit card info, which I didn't need because the balance was zero, and then wouldn't save it again or let me check out. Wasted my time and put me in a foul mood. You can take my free biscuit and give it to the designer/programmer. I'll go eat something healthier.
Had a large order. (12 biscuits and 6 tea). Place order on app before I left home to give them a 10-minute advance. Would not allow changes to items. Still waited over 30 minutes when we got to the restaurant. App would not allow me to check arrived at the restaurant even though I was in undesignated curbside pickup spot. Then they asked if I had a Dash order which I did not. That caused more confusion. The app is a complete waste of time. Staff was nice and food hot only good thing.
The app works OK. But, the select location has changed pick-up location on me a couple of times. Which sucks when you go to the wrong location and your food gets cold waiting at another store. The pickup time needs improving. Plus the crews at the stores need more training. I would recommend not using the app. You get poor service and cold food.
The one star is cause the Food is great but the app needs work. I can't use it cause when it goes to the "How would you like to pick up?" thing, it's just blank so I cant go any further. Definatly gonna delete this app but you'll still see me coming in for the food. (Pardon any spelling mistakes, me and autocorrect have a long standing feud)
I ordered through the app, the restaurant sold out of what I ordered (fine, product shortages are a thing, I get it) but they now have my money. Since the app was made by a third party developer, Bojangles can't refund me and there's nothing on the app to request a refund. Just order at the restaurant. At least if they're out of something you won't be down the increasing cost of a meal.
The app deleted my account. I'm not sure why it was deleted. It hasn't been more than 30 days since my last log in. Tried to log in with my credentials. There is no option to pick between "sign in" and "sign up." So, I clicked the only button on-screen. It forced me to "sign up," essentially stating my account credentials do not belong to an account. I still have receipts from orders placed last month to the email I used to log in initially. Very concerning.
Bad UX Extremely rudimentary. Breaks all the rules for ease of use. Iimpossible to get back to settings or offers from order menus. If you back out or update your pickup location, it clears your cart. Final straw, when I added a card, it immediately submitted my order without warning! I was setting up an order to enter as soon as I was released for a short lunch break so I could pick it up without a wait, but I wasn't ready to submit. 2 stars only because you *can* actually place an order.
It's good when it actually works. Very buggy and slow to response. The last straw is having offers available but not being able to use them. The last time I tried to use a promo, the app crashed and when I went ro reorder , it says "code is currently in use on another transaction" and I can't get that transaction back since the app crashed. I tried the website and got the same message.
every time I open this app it forces me to choose to allow the app to access my location ALL THE TIME instead of only when I'm using the app, only then will the app even open! Then it selects stores that are 20 minutes from me so I have to manually go change the location every time. Plus there are never any deals, no rewards or perks for using the app, etc. I'm uninstalling bc it's pointless. It doesn't save me time or money and is so buggy, it's so frustrating to use.
I love their food and this app has a pretty good layout and seems easy to use. But damn if it isn't the slowest and glitchiest app I've used in years. Definitely not worth the frustration. Every time I try to pull up a menu item I get a pop up that says "undefined" and a "dismiss" button. Try to edit an item in my cart and it works/spins for 30 seconds only to show a pop up that the "product not found." I've cleared cache, storage and re-downloaded with no change in behavior.
Works about half the time. Many times I'll tap a meal that I've ordered on the app before and "PRODUCT NOT FOUND" will pop up. Swapping between menus is about as slow as Christmas, and sometimes just won't load. The loading screen will stay up and never go away. Have to restart the app when this happens. But the real downside to this app is the fact that you never get offers and there's no rewards program. Every fast food app has both of these things, but this one does not.
I like the food just fine. It's the app and your so called "Company Policy" that instructs employees to force people to pick up mobile orders inside the restaurant instead of letting us use the drive thru. I happen to have a broken foot at the moment so kinda hard to keep getting in and out my vehicle. You're the only restaurant with a mobile app that does this. Seems pretty ridiculous to choose THAT as a stance to be different. Deleting the app until y'all answer or update it.
