So here's my take on Calibre Companion. I've tried a bunch of e-book management apps and this one stands out for how tightly it integrates with the Calibre desktop software. In my experience, the device-based library organization and the WiFi sync features work really well. It's not as polished as some other apps, but it gets the job done if you're deep into the Calibre ecosystem. The content server and cloud storage integration is a nice bonus too. Overall, a pretty solid option if you want Calibre on your phone or tablet.

Description

I’ve been using Calibre Companion for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you organize and manage your Calibre e-book library right on your device. Pretty solid if you’re an e-book reader who uses Calibre.

Here’s what you can do – you can view all the books in your Calibre library, see their metadata like author, tags, and ratings. There’s also a cool feature where you can sort and group books by their info. And the book cover view is nice, makes it easy to browse your collection. Took me a bit to figure out how to connect it to my Calibre library, but once I got that set up, it works seamlessly.

Look, if you’re a big Calibre user, you’ll probably find this app really handy. It’s not perfect – the interface can be a bit clunky at times – but overall it does a great job of giving you Calibre functionality on your mobile device. Worth checking out if you want a better way to manage your e-book library on the go.
