Excellent, Use this app with my Dropbox calibre folder, very nice way to view my virtual library when away from home to choose my next read. Especially love the feature of being able to 'zoom' out and in to change how many thumbnails are displayed. The only feature that i believe was lacking in previous versions. Thanks. Great app, the only downside is when you select a book there is no large button to open and read the book. Rather the button is small and wedge right between Delete and Share making it a bit of a pain when trying to read a book on a smaller screen. A separate large button (away from the delete button) to open or read a book would be great.

This is a great tool for viewing your Calibre library wherever it is, including local storage or cloud storage. I'm on Android 11 with a OnePlus phone, and unfortunately the devs haven't been able to figure out how to set permissions for local storage access so I can see any bookcovers. Works fine on my wife's Xiaomi Redmi with Android 11, so it's likely something with how OnePlus uses the Storage Access Framework in their version of Android 11.

Simple easy. Got it as a replacement for Calibre companion. If it had a way to tell at a glance what books are already downloaded it would be a straight upgrade, as is it's nice app that has very useful features and connects more smoothly. Can't speak to the cloud storage integration as I skip the middle man and use the content server/wireless device connection on its own .

Does what I need it to do (download wirelssly via calibre content server) with a nice GUI. However it was a bit cumbersome to delete my existing transferred Calibre books folder and re-download everything through the app in order for it to recognize which books I already had on my device.

Sync is a button, little else. See status? A ProgressBar in a notification that freezes. Then, the cover download, which throws toasts if there are errors; only mean to see if it still works. If, meanwhile, you want to download a book... ouch. See, syncing is its main function: it works, but it should have a good status screen to see what and where it does, and with some control. The app is not bad, having Calibre libraries in the cloud is a good idea, but the author should improve the sync.

Regretting my purchase, I can't refund the app anymore even though I only installed it twice for a few minutes. The app doesn't do what I was hoping it would do, and is useless to me. I needed something that would let me transfer books from calibre to my pocketbook ebook reader. Not only the app doesn't support non-kindle email addresses, but I also can't upload any books to any of the managed calibre libraries like Dropbox, only allows downloading from libraries. Sharing epubs is broken too.

Excellent, does exactly what it's meant to. It's so much better to be able to pay a one-off fee for a good product, rather than another sub. By moving my Calibre library into a OneDrive folder, I can now browse all the books in my Calibre library and then decide which one to read on my Kindle. The UI was a little tricky at first but I soon figured it out. What I would say is that the more effort you put in to straightening out all your metadata in Calibre, the more you'll get out of this app.

Began looking for a replacement for Calibre Companion after that app became abandonware. I’ve been very pleasantly surprised with Calibre Sync so far. It does everything I require, including cloud integration and wireless connection to my Calibre library on my PC. If you’re coming from Calibre Companion, there’s a short learning curve, as some things are handled differently, but it’s certainly not a deal breaker. Updates are frequent, and support has been outstanding. Highly recommended

I'd stuck with the increasingly failing Calibre Companion simply because I had used it for years. After latest install on android 14 it was unusable so I finally looked for a replacement. Why didn't I switch to Calibre Sync sooner! Hugely less labyrinthine to set up and use, and much, much quicker. This does all I need - fast searching, quick syncing or downloading - just fabulous. Minor issues with custom columns are easily overcome by adding tags to Calibre metadata. Many thanks to the Dev(s)!

I started using this app when my Calibre server stopped working and it's... functional. It does let me access my books and it's easier to navigate than just keep my books in the cloud. BUT it's a real pain to add books. I don't know why, but whenever I try to add new books, I have to delete the folder from the cloud storage and then completely reupload it. I've tried updating the folder, and refreshing the app library, but it never adds the new books.

I had used an older app for years to access my cloud library. I didn't realize the new developer had ghosted that app until I switched to a newer phone. Calibre Sync has everything I need, and more. Right off the bat, I can tell you this: Easy search, easy share... Just EASY. The GUI is clean and easy to use. I can't wait to explore its capabilities in full I wish I had found this app years ago. Thank you for this app!

I'd been a long-time Calibre Companion user; it took me some time to get used to Calibre Sync's interface. It's grown on me. I used CC's wireless device connection exclusively; CS's is not quite as good, but makes up for it in its content server interface. I'm now fully switched to that. I appreciate that the developer responds to customers and continues to improve this app.

I really wanted to like this app. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. I made a wireless connection from an Android tablet to a Windows laptop running Calibre. The library has about 9000 books. It failed after transferring a few hundred but Calibre indicated that many more were. This was confusing. The transfer speed per book was also slow. I uninstalled and reverted to Calibre Companion. Calibre Sync isn't ready for prime time yet.

I wish I had found this app long ago. It is amazing and does what I need and does it extremely well. Within 5 minutes of downloading I was able to eaily connect to my Calibre content server and within minutes all covers and metadata had been downloaded for 5k+ titles. Amazingly quick and beautiful interface. I love the ability to filter via an array of fields including all my custom meta tags! This is going to make finding specific articles and books a breeze. Very good and so useful. If you know how to use calibre which is very powerful, then this app should not take long to figure out. I read books on my phone almost daily and have a digital library of over 1500 books so I'm very grateful for an app like this. I bought the app a while ago and have my calibre database on onedrive and syncs quickly.💯🏆

I wanted to give this app a chance because what I want to do is simple. It did connect well with Dropbox. So that was promising. However the purpose for me was to download my books into a folder of my choosing on my phone. I changed the default download directory. But it still only wrote the files to the original download folder "download". No success after trying a few different things. So this was a fail for me.

Thank you for filling a need that is sorely missing in that your app connects to so many different cloud providers. Upon setting up integration with my existing library in OneDrive, the app successfully downloaded the covers for all 4,372 books without having to retry even once. That's a good indicator to me as my experience with a similar app "Calibre-Go" tends to require multiple attempts. I'm finding a need for more documentation on connecting to a Calibre Content Server. When connecting via IP address it fails. However, I found that if I add the "/opds" suffix to the url, the app returns "Sign in Successful" but it fails to display anything except for a blank white screen and a spinning blue circle. After approx 10 minutes of spinning, I'll close the app and reopen to find the library has not been added. Still deserving of 5 stars for the fact that you're actively maintaining an app where IMHO there is no competition and I must encourage others to find your app and support it hoping it encourages you to continue with your work.

Wow, I just finished battling with a different, more expensive, Calibre Android app tool, and Calibre Sync is so much more polished in comparison. I have encountered crashes when fast scrolling through my 600+ book collection but other than that it works well to download books onto my device. I wish the filtering was streamlined; I make heavy use of Series and it requires many clicks to browse. I hope this app keeps getting updates! Please update the screenshots: night mode on tablet is beautiful!

Incredibly powerful app and just what I was looking for! The developer is actively working to make this app better with each release and incorporatesany of the suggestions and requests into new versions. I emailed requesting some support and they replied within two days. Awesome! I have 1400+ books in my library and use the Calibre server option. Quick to search and find books that I want to put on my device. For those wanting sync-read-position -> moon+ reader is it.
