I always had the Cash App borrow option with at least $500 or more limit. I always paid on time and usually early! Cash App made more interest off of me (for paying back early and retaking out another loan) but I was fine with that because I liked knowing that I had that little bit of financial security in my back pocket. After a couple of years( with no heads up) I was unable to borrow anymore. No reason,no explanation, no one would help me NOTHING. Again never late,so I do not recommend !!!
Reviews for Cash App
← Back to Cash AppIve been using Cash app for a while and I haven't had many issues besides the fact that support isn't very useful and I constantly need my card locked because no matter how many times I get a new card shipped, someone always gets the number before I get the card. And even if I have the card locked ive had someone purchase something with my money WITH IT LOCKED!! there's a huge chance that your money isn't going to be spent by you if you use this. please look into other apps before cashapp!!
I used to use this app when I was 17 and now I have issues with it..Every time I contact support they can't help me with anything but reset my account. I've put in my social and my ID. I've made so many accounts because the issue can't be resolved. It keeps saying my social is wrong when I've already confirmed my info since the beginning and my ID and still it says that. I've tried my email when they send the code just to copy and paste for it to say it's incorrect. zero stars if I could
Its a very user friendly app. You can load funds at 7 11 from your phone. $1.00 fee. You can buy and sell stock very easily. No confusion. No fees. That I know a out. I have another app I use. The name is bullish. They hit you for fee after fee. The advisor accounts come at a cost of 0.02 % when everyone else charges 0.01%.Cashapp hasn't even tried to charge me for having an account. Its a good place to start. They also have bitcoin now..You also get a debit card. Full access to your $ 24/7.
I was given overdraft coverage of $25 and paid it back every time I used it. I received an email from cashapp stating my overdraft coverage was increased to $100. The next day, I go to my account, and I have no overdraft coverage. I would not recommend using them to get direct deposits. sofi and Chime are way better and can help when you have issues like this arrise. Cashapp was no help, and I didn't try to help either. Like most people I rely on that to cover necessities.
The cash app support is extremely poor, if not horrible. I am not sure if they even read to understand your issues before sending multiple emails that don't fix your problem. The worst is they send you at least over email from different support specialists, and none of them seem to make sense, address, or fix the problem. Even when you respond to those emails, you don't get feedback. I have been experiencing this issue for over 3 months.
Cashapp hasn't responded in over 10 days!! The last 3 days I've reached out everyday for updates for the long wait. They just tell me to keep waiting. After 10 days they banned the customer service and froze my account. I have money in my account and can't even use it!!! and the biggest problem is, no response. no email back. no customer service literally AT ALL. In the app it just says not available
Cash App used to be awesome..now not so much. Any issue that arises u are pretty much on your own to just deal with because their customer support is pretty much non-existent. My account was shut down and told I can't have account thru them ever again. I was never told why. Which really doesn't bother me now but at the time was a big deal because I used it a lot. When it was first created they were so lenient. Now they spring rules without the customer knowing. Thanks but no thanks CashApp.
I really do love the app! My only negative comment is that it's frustrating that my "borrow limit" has been the same for quite some time now!! I pay several bills with my cash app card, constantly use it at the grocery store, pay back what I borrow, and deposit well over $1000 in it monthly (generally anywhere from $1000-$1500)!! Yet...still no borrow limit increase (it has been the same for at least 8 months, if not even longer)!?? Wondering if I need to look into using a different app!
I run the snack fun at my workplace, people contribute based on what they take so I have about 20 small ($1-10) transactions every day, I have verified my account. I'm giving only 1 star because I can't rate it lower, whether you have a verified, unverified, or business account, there is a mystery transaction limit, support doesn't tell you how many transactions it is "for security purposes" and won't tell you when it resets "for security purposes".
I was loving this app but all of a sudden for the last 2 days, been having issues trying to send my son money back that lent me using my direct Express card; and I've used my direct Express card several times on this app . As a matter of fact I just used it on October 1st ; now it keeps saying transaction was declined by the card issuer and I can't get ahold of direct express for nothing. I also filed an incident report to Cash app but it is not showing up on the site.
I've been using this app since 2019. The other month I've moved over $14k on this app with no problem so it's pretty prevalent I use the app. I can't find my debit card I've had for years, the initial one I opened the account with, cancelled it. Now the app won't let me order a new one. Customer service told me to wait 14 days and the issue is still unresolved. Now I can't lock the debit card because it just says "Order a New Card" under the card tab... but the old card still works. 😭🤦🏾♀️
I had a fraudulent $5 Amazon transaction on my account 2 weeks ago. Ordered a new card and double-checked my security settings. But within 1 hour of using my new card, I got another fraudulent charge notification. I had not put the new card number online ANYWHERE, and I had only used it 1 time.. At a doctor office! All other accounts are secure. All security measures taken, there have been no unknown logins. Customer service sucked. The problem is on their end, there's no other explanation.
Customer support is horrible. As long as things are going well, you'll love the app. If you run into an issue, good luck! They can't handle and resolve a $10 issue. Can't imagine them handling bank accounts and direct deposits if there were to be any issues. Stopped my direct deposit immediately. Have zero trust in them going forward.
Up until recently, this app has been very useful and great... then, suddenly, out of nowhere for no apparent reason. My account gets closed, and I can't get a person to tell me what is going on or why it was closed. No explanation, no help. Accused of stuff, I did not do and most likely a false positive by a stupid AI system. I've been using it for 5 years, and suddenly now, I'm accused of breaking terms of service right after I basically cash out everything on it 4 weeks before this.
I love having a card available to use in my name. (Especially if I'm making an online purchase or ordering something from an info-mercial on tv). Adding cash money to the balance is so easy and can be done at a dozen locations close to my house for only $1. There's no monthly fees. I've been able to play around with some penny- stocks & bonds. And it's such a handy, free way to pass a few bucks back n forth with friends / family when we run $20 short for the week. 10 STARS if I could!
About 1 month ago my account was closed with no prior warning. I've used the app for over 5 years without issues. Customer support is still reassuring me that the case looking into the issue is still open. Update: 7 months later they keep closing request tickets to look into the issue and every response they send simply says the account was closed. Highly recommend using any other available apps over this one. No loyalty to customers or courtesy to even look into any issues.
Add a choice verification when using the cash out function. Lost money because of a mistake, was expecting a chance to undo it but it didn't exist. just wanted to edit this now that it has been years later. if I could avoid this app I would but many people are still choosing this one for some reason. The issue I complained about is still an existing one. All I wanted is a confirmation window when you press the transfer option for if you choose standard (several day wait time) or instant (fee).
The app has been so glitchy for the past few days. I have two different accounts...one for business and one for personal. When I'm in my personal account and attempt to sign out, I tap/push the "sign out" option and nothing happens. I have to uninstall/reinstall every time and that is both annoying and not efficient. I also have been having issues signing in from different accounts...when I tap the username, it just spins forever and never actually brings me to the next menu. Very glitchy.
I've been using cashapp for years and its usually phenomenal. The free cards are nice and I never had any issues until now. Every single time I try to add money, it gets "declined by my bank", even though my bank confirmed they aren't. Cashapp customer support is horrible, they won't explain what's going on, and just keep saying the same thing over and over. "Which transaction?" "Oh we are having technical difficulties atm". Its been A WEEK. Some transactions work but the majority don't.
