A lot of glitches and not user frienfly. You cant even duplicate an order so you have to input things several times. And every time you change an ingredient you have to change the name again. And if you press the wrong bottom it kicks you out of the app. Also you can't modify feature dishes. For example if want falafel instead of chicken you can't do that. Needs a lot more improvements please. I love the food but not the app.

In short, I am literally unable to use this app. It consistently crashes when trying to repeat a previous order. It's then 50/50 whether or not it hangs at the initial loading screen, or crashes again when you try to resume ordering. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't help. I used to order CAVA 2-3 times a week because it was so easy. I don't do that anymore because I literally can't.

Every time they update this app, it gets worse. Slower and less useful. when I first started going to cava, I could pay using this app so it was one swipe for both getting the item credit for rewards and to pay. now, I have to open the app, which opens slower and slower every time they upgrade, and remind the person at the cash register that I want to scan before she rings me up and the amount shows up on the credit card machine. In the most recent version of the app, they hide the barcode.

App works pretty well all around. Very nice to look at and functionality is good too. There are some annoying quirks when it comes to reordering previous orders. It tries to make you reorder from the same previous location instead of allowing you to choose the same food at a different location. There could be a way around it, but haven't figured it out yet.

I've tried to give the new version time to work out the kinks, but it's just a mess. The app stutters and lags through the ordering process. If at any point you use the back button, you'll likely be taken back to the home screen and will have to redo your order, including picking the restaurant location. The paragraph format they use to show the details of your order is creative, but not efficient. Also, would be nice to get some Google Pay integration.

Could be easier to navigate, and see the order building. App is slow to turn over, and takes a long time to turn over while adding items or adding another persons order! I use 3-4 other apps. for food places, and all of them are more "user friendly" than this one! the I agree with Christopher, app. is too cutesy, Needs to be streamlined and made clearer as to operating through the screens!

Overall, the app works fairly well when building your order. However, there have been multiple times where when I went to pay, an error message is displayed. Each time there is an error message, it actually charged my card. I've been charged 3 times in one instance and 4 times in another instance. Now I need to contact CAVA for reimbursement. Very frustrating.

This app is one of the most terrible apps. It regularly asked me to log back in instead of keeping me logged in. This always seems to happen when there's a whole line of people behind me waiting to check out. had to log into the app yesterday to use it and then today I had to log in again. The only thing this app needs to do is keep me logged in and allow me to use a barcode to scan and it fails regularly. Adding this review back as I'm not sure why the play store removed it.

Repeatedly crashes while trying to order. Won't let me enter a delivery address. Sometimes doesn't see where I am at but other times can see my location. This app is why I don't order more than every 3 months or so. I'll forget that this app is defective and fight with it until I give up and go the website and hope the website is working better. CAVA doesn't allow customers trying to spend money to call the store so greater effort should be put into making this app as robust as possible.

Waste of time, has no value unless ordering online. Don't kid yourself into thinking there are great rewards. You have to spend $100 to get a meal on your birthday. Spend $1k and get invited to an event. This app is poorly planned out and takes too long to set up at the register (payment card needed). There are so many better reward and loyalty systems out there, like FiveStars, that give actual rewards and just require a phone number (with ability to add receipts). Keep the food, scrap the app.

So wonky. It acts up all the time, freezes or doesn't let you finish an order. Doesn't make me want to order even in person, so it's losing my business each time. You might want to fix that. Reinstalled it. Still doesn't work. Not going in person, so there's another lost sale. C'mon...this isn't rocket science...find someone to build you an app that works.

Needs submit confirm stopgap. I went to My Bag to see where I'd left off in the ordering process and accidentally touched "place order" (which doesn't necessarily even look like a button) and BOOM! Submitted. Dang it! Wish they'd add a pop up to confirm if they're going to make it that easy to hit by mistake. Food is great, though!

The most terribly designed food ordering app I've ever used. To name a few of the many issues: you need to have a credit card on file to use a gift card, the ordering process is inefficient and difficult to modify orders, the wrong images are used (hummus picture was used for the chicken image), I could go on. Unfortunately you need to use the app to use a gift card, you can't spend a gift card directly at the store, which is another problem with this whole process.

This is basically unusable. There's no easy way to build an order, idk how else to say it the whole interface is scrambled. They need a streamlined workflow that allows you to add both saved favorite bowls and bowls from the menu into the same order, edit orders, just the basic stuff. I could not figure it out. Going to use the web version again.

Used to use this app all the time, now it barely works. New ordering process is clunky, and some days it just crashes when starting an order. In my frustration, I just go somewhere else. I'm not going into the store to make more than one order, especially when it's at least a 10 minute drive. Please test your app before releasing. It fails to work from a functional perspective half the time.

Edit down to 1 star. App continues to be absolute trash. Features that don't work, bad navigation, etc. Today it's falsely telling me it can't open because I'm offline. Um, no, I'm online, which is how I can leave this review. Note to customers who want reward points: Just say your phone number to the cashier, who can enter it manually on the register. Don't use this atrocious app.

This app is curiously limited. I saw no obvious way of adding my favorite menu items once I started an order, and then there was no way to update a credit card on file without having to restart the order entirely. On top of that I placed a delivery order on the app and finally had to call the location to find out that it was logged as a doordash order but no doordash person ever showed up. No notice, no warning. So the lesson is: just use Doordash instead.

They are once again changing their app points on 10/6/25 and are not only making it worse so we do not accrue as many points, it's already automatically applying points and offers and no longer allowing us to choose when we can use them. Last time they got my order wrong AGAIN they credited me funds, and even though I technically have a full year to use them, it's only automatically applying the funds: preventing me from using my points before the 6th when everything will cost more points

the most obnoxious concept for a restaurant ever... with this level of hassle involved in ordering my food I would expect a discount relative to the amount of time I had to spend downloading the app, placing my order, having it time out and ordering again... the digital age is something else... I liked the store for the food before it became this soulless entity.. you should at least provide ordering screens in your restaurant... my bad for not knowing they changed. they're selling ur data too

I downloaded the app due to a poor experience on the website. I tried 3 different times to modify a standard menu item after it had been added to my cart, and doing so cleared my cart. I came to download the app thinking this would be a much easier experience. I was wrong. Same issue. I guess because I didnt have an account the app decided to wipe my cart when I tried to change something. Uninstalled this App ASAP after finally ordering my food.
