Used to be great. Most recent update means anyone using older versions of Android can no longer use it OR the website on your phone. Both keep telling me to update my OS when I physically cannot on this older phone that works fine with everything else. (The browser version tells me I have an old/outdated browser. I have the newest version I can use on this phone, so same thing applies.) Why do you have to try to fix what isn't broken? I used the app for multiple things while on the go that I now have to log into a desktop for (which is rare that I have one nearby). Very frustrating.

I love Chase, and had my very first hank account and credit card with them. However, there is this odd issue happening with credit cards in the app for about a year now. Sometimes when I make a large payment, it shows right away and I have access to the money. Then, the next day my available balance is completely wrong for 24 hours. Not sure why this happens. It goes back to normal the second day after making the payment, but it's annoying to have the incorrect amount show for a day.

It would be easier if deposits were seen seperate from items paid. Because you have to keep scrolling down if you are looking for a certain deposit from a certain date. Needs to be updated. With all the money Chase has you could get a better IT TEAM! Chase App is always down and hasn't been able to show recent transactions in the past 2 weeks!!!

Sooooo Frustrating! This app should be renamed "The Spinning Wheel of Death." I'm not quite sure why it works two out of every 10 times. I constantly have to go into the settings and do a "force stop" just to be able to log-in. I'm sure somebody on the development team is going to tell me to go into my phone and clear my cache, etc, etc, etc, but none of my other apps have this problem, so come up with a new solution.

I'm not sure what is going on with the application. I have been trying to download it for 4 days & it keeps saying pending. What I do know is they perform too much updates!!! Once a month is fine but they do it at least 3x a month. Very unnecessary! I uninstalled the app because I wasn't able to access my account with updating it. Now I am not able to reinstall & it's driving me insane. I check my account on a daily basis. And I love the convenience of not going to the bank. Please fix it.

fingerprint sign in stopped working. Receive a "can't connect to chase right now, try again later" message when i try to turn it back on, no explanation on how to fix. I finally deleted/reinstalled and it works again. The navigation is terrible and not intuitive. Overall I expect more from the biggest bank in the US.

This is the worst app I've ever had the displeasure of using. If you mess up your password once, you must jump through flaming hoops to make another one. Sometimes it even fails to recognize if you put it in correctly. I can't even change my damn address because it keeps saying that part of the site "doesn't seem to be working right now", or ever. Chase is the worst. I'm considering changing banks because this app is so abysmal.

Ok, as a company, Chase is not a bank for the little guy. It's hard to get your money, hard to deposit a paycheck unless you get off work at 4pm, limited hours, poor credit rates, etc.. But, this app is actually pretty decent. The lock my card feature works well and unlocks immediately when prompted to. The notifications are very poor, only sometimes notifies me of my set amounts or deposits, withdrawals notify fast, but this may be an android issue...

I've been banking with Chase since high school, and let me say I HATE it. the app barely lets me log in, especially with the dumbass fingerprint option that locks me out of my account constantly. slapping service fees whenever, even though you reach their requirements. I can't wait to switch to another bank, I'm sure they'll give me trouble, but nothing could be worse than this hellish app and banking company. It is not worth the effort.

05/24/25 - It's been a couple of years since I last reviewed and the app has at least improved enough for me to raise my rating. However, it's still not five star because the latest update now displays a "not connected to network alert" when I wouldn't be able to log in with the app if I wasn't connected to a network. I clear the message and everything else functions fine.

I hate to give this app less than 5 stars because I honestly love it, but please go back to how you used to display pending charges. Ever since Chase started including pending payments along with pending charges it is nearly impossible to calculate an accurate balance. It was so much easier to figure out pending charges before this change was made to the app.

not user friendly. gotta keep those fees rolling in. you should invest in a great AI, there are many to choose from. customers could speak in plain language and be replied to same way. "I started a transfer from my checking account to Robinhood service app from within their app. They say "go to Chase and approve the transfer." except it's nowhere to be found, your app AI "can't quite get what you say." An hour or more later, with the help of the FANTASTIC Google AI, I have checked EVERYTHING. NI

used to be a 5 star app, now Zelle does not work. I know exactly why, there is a bug that I've identified, but after attempting to send a bug report by email, and in the digital assistant chat, and even with the secure email inside the app, I see the user (me) is just sent in endless loops of menus to keep us talking to machines instead of a human with a brain.

Love this bank, the app could use some work. I've stated several times about a glitch with trying to redeem gift cards. The entire gift card section for redeeming points doesn't work. You've updated several times since... the glitch still isn't fixed. My points have been racking up for nearly 6 months now because I can't redeem them. Do you even read these reviews? Hello!? Developers? At least your in person staff are great.

I absolutely love chase bank. There on it no matter what it is! Anytime you need help with anything there there to fix it! I love the 4 in 1 payments they offer sometimes I get a little low on money I'm on a budget and if I decide on the 4 in one they will put the full amount back in my checking account and let me make 4 payments to pay it off. Thank you chase bank for everything you do for me to make my life easier!

Unable to log in. It required password, text contact, biometric registration, and scanning one's driver's license, which is ridiculous since that's more than you'd need to launch a nuclear missile. It won't scan my driver's license after carefully composing the picture as requested, holding the phone as still as a sniper, and adjusting lighting for glare. I wasted nearly an hour trying to log in, then gave up. At this point I'd rather cancel my Chase account than jump through any more hoops.

Used to be ok. Now chase travel just straight up doesn't work on the app. Every time you try to click on book a hotel or flight nothing happens or loads. Have tried clearing the cache. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Weird for such a major operation to have an app that just doesn't work at all. Hopefully they figure it out eventually

Incredibly annoying! Can't do most things via the app and am forced to call in. Calling in is the worst. It always takes so long to do anything, no matter what it is. Customer service reps always end up telling me I can do things on the app. No I can't. Right now for example. I need to dispute a transaction and it's prompting me to once again call in. WHAT IS THE POINT SAYING YOU CAN DO IT WITHIN THE APP IF THE APP TELLS YOU TO CALL IN?!

You know what's nice? Security. You know what's not nice? So much security that it's a massive inconvenience. The app always logs me off and never remembers my password. I use a password manager so I KNOW the password is always correct, but I always get an error and have to change it. Every. Time. I. Use. The. App. And the text to receive the password isn't a standard 6 digit code - it's an 8 digit code that you can't even paste into the app. Absolute garbage app that isn't even worth the hassle

UPDATE: 7 years later, still the same issues! On top of that, the *required* update led to "Your account doesn't exist." issue, so can't even login! Absolute amateurs. As usual, Chase continues with it's dictatorship, one-way street approach to providing services 1. Updates should be optional. If you can't create back compatible products, get another job. 2. If the app is installed in external storage, it should be updated there! If you hard code internal locations for updates, get another job.
