Really difficult to cancel subscription. Can't do it through the app and when I emailed them I received no response and suddenly there were asking for feedback on whether they solved my problem or not. I just want to cancel. Fortunately the cancelation link worked on the website. However it is annoying that you have to go through a chat with a representative to cancel. This should be automated.

Update as I reached out to the team to help: they told me there was no issue on their end and that it was essentially my own problem to figure out. They also said I need to go through troubleshooting on my own before reaching out (which I had already done). Terrible app, terrible support.
Everytime you open the app you have to review your last class, which takes at least 3 clicks. If you attend a class while traveling those studios will appear at the top of your feed for, seemingly, eternity. My favorite studios that I visit 99% of the time never appear on the first page of my feed. Getting notified about a wait-list spot also takes several clicks and scrolling. If you use the website instead of the app, you are bombarded with ads to download the app. Just really inefficient.
I had fraud on my credit card. I couldn't switch my credit card information on time and was never told there was a problem with my payment. But 2 days ago, I received a notification about a problem with my payment method and my membership was cancelled. I reached out asking for reinstatement and they said it would cost more and I lost my rollover credits and can't get them back. I effectively just lost $50 because of terrible company practices. Don't use this app/company.
One of the worst customer experiences I've ever had with a company. I was gifted credits and I had to sign up for a membership just to use them! Not only did the gift credits not roll over, I was unable to get a refund when I tried to cancel the next month. On top of that, I HAD to chat with their customer service to cancel, which they proceeded to try and upsell me. Ridiculous process and not worth the headache. Avoid at all costs!
I had issues being able to schedule any classes, and kept getting charged, reached out a few times for help, never heard back. Ultimately, I had to leave a negative review to finally hear back from them. I didn't like how they responded to me and tried to blame me for whatever technical error was going on where I couldn't book anything but in the end I got refunded. 2 stars for lack of communication and blaming me for app not working. But hey I got my money back. 🤷♀️ use at your own risk.
Mostly positive experiences but the interface can be buggy when communicating with retailers. For example, once I had to pay full price on a $80 massage despite booking through the app. However, when these things happen, the customer service is responsive and will refund the credits. I usually go up to the retailer prior to the service now and ask if they honor class pass bookings to avoid this.
The reminder button to notify when classes open up is no longer working. The location never corresponds to the classes presented. For example, when I look for a class in Queens, the search shows results for places in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Many times, classes that are in session don't even show up. The monthly fees are absolutely insane. Only a portion of the points is transferred to the next month. Also, I received a deal that ClassPass sent, and when I tried to apply it, ClassPass denied it.
UPDATE: I canceled in 2020 since I wasn't using as much. I just re-signed up again but the app is glitchy, keeps telling me my password is incorrect even though I've gone through resetting it. ***Great option if you like different classes and workouts! Pretty pricey charge for cancellation within 12 hrs to class time, $15. But makes a great motivation to not miss a class. Just wish it is more affordable overall for monthly fees. I just do the low $10 for 6 credits and more credits as I go.
I really like how you can go to multiple types of classes. I get bored so it really helps. However, the app sucks. I was charged for a class that I attended and because of a system error got double charged for a class. Chats don't save so you have to talk to like five different reps and explain the issue in depth each time. Their cancelation policy is bad. With all the money they make on an app biz, seems like it should get a lot more attention.
Was not able to create an account, or make any reservations. Anything I attempted on this app was met with an error message stating "We ran into a problem. We're straightening it out right now". Completely unusable! Edit: to the support team, all steps were taken and nothing has changed. No reservations can be made. Ive only just downloaded the app today, but reinstalled just in case. Still does not work!
The customer service has been disappointing and definitely leaves room for improvement. The representative I spoke with was rigid and unwilling to apply my company code to my account, simply because I had set it up incorrectly. For an app that’s supposed to be easy to navigate, the experience has been anything but.
I've been a cp member for almost a decade. post pandemic the app is laggy, search function is inconsistent, customer service chat takes hours of back and forth. then today I'm despite updating, reinstall, updating payment method and bunch of trouble shoot I cannot register for any classes at any studios. the customer support sees no error. the app and service has really gone wrong.
it's a good service when it works. and it usually works. but it will never accurately search for studios or general types of classes. the search function does not work. The cancellation policy is one-sided and exploitative. the customer service agents are highly unprofessional and dishonest. they will lie in the chat log to say that you haven't been responding to them, when it's been literal seconds, just to have an excuse and a written record to disconnect on you.
Love classpass but i have a few suggestions. 1. add more package options. 8 25 43 and 73 is so random???? why not incriments of 5 lol. i want more than 8 but less than 25 or 43. 2. Make it to where we can have lists! Just having add to favorite isn't enough now with restaurants, services, and work outs all in one place. id like to be able to look at them all separately easier than using to change search parameters every time. 3. please get rid of the rating screen at open every time. thank you!
credits don't always roll over. I have been paying for the 75$ a month for 33 credits, but because of budgets, I have to go to the cheaper option which is about 20$ per month for 8 credits. I wish there was an option for in between those. and because I switched, only 10 current credits will roll over... so just be aware of that before signing up. however, I want to add that i do recommend this app, especially if you're like me and do yoga, its cheaper!
Starting to think it’s a scam. Booking at popular spots was easy during the free trial, but once it expired and I "upgraded," I was rarely able to book those same places—maybe once a month, if that. Even when I received a notification and opened it immediately, the spot was already unavailable, as if it never really was. Definitely not renewing. Lots of listings, but no real availability—doesn’t make sense.
I have had no issues booking classes - EXCEPT for ANY class at YogaSix Trinity. I have contacted "customer service" multiple times. Each time being turned over to a 'human' representative and being told the same thing: that the issue was sent to the internal team for resolution and I will get an email once resolved. I have received zero emails. So, BUYER BEWARE. ClassPass is great, until you have a problem of ANY kind. Their customer service is non-existent.
I used class pass for a couple of years, I really enjoyed it while using it. However, I am changing my review due to abyss customer service. I had been told that I could pause my membership (due to traveling) and my credits would reactivate when I resume my membership. I had about $100 worth of credits. A month later, I was ready to reactivate and customer service said they all credits are forfeited and "unfortunately" cannot be reinstated. 😳 Classpass has lost me as a customer forever.
I received personalized emails from ClassPass offering me one free month. When I tried to activate my free month , notably before the expiration date and time, the free trial inexplicably shrunk to only 14 days. Live chat support was useless, taking 20-30 minutes of my time to offer nonsensical non-responses, and then added that the 14-day trial would cost 1 GBP (I'm in the US! And the ClassPass offer was supposed to be free!)
