Update: 3 local restaurants that I used this app with have cancelled their service through clover. The clover team has no customer service to speak of, and constant issues lost them money. I guess I'll uninstall now. It's useful to be able to order from some of my favorite restaurants from this app. However that's where the usefulness ends. The rewards programs don't function. And a lot of restaurants that use this service don't know how to best provide a good experience.

Most times I have no issues, however there have been a couple times when I tried to use it that the clerk could not see where I was attempting to check in so I lost my discounts because when I refreshed the app it showed I had already used the credits. So it definitely needs some work on the check in process but other than that NO COMPLAINTS! ITS WONDERFUL! Worth it!
Great in theory, in practice the app is mostly useless. Most employees at vendors don't know how to use the system to give u points. Only ONE vendor so far in 2 years has given me points. No support unless u have a merchant number. Transferred to a new phone and for 2 days i couldn't login bc it said my password was wrong (it wasn't), and i tried too many times so it just wouldn't let me. Used old phone to add phone # to profile. I was able to login using that after hours of trying.
Cant recover password when switching phones. Lost a lot of points and had to start over with a new account. App doesnt show local stores, just loads blank pages. No way to view my current points unless I add a new receipt. Not even sure I will be able to access my freebie once I earn it. App is very cheap and cant say that it actually works. App needs to be completely rewritten as it currently has basically no functionality.
Reading reviews from the entire last year. It appears that rewards simply won't redeem or won't work at all. Also, the app is unable to accept any payment methods. Just says "Well, shucks. We're having trouble reaching Clover on the network". And more importantly, there is literally NO customer service. No email, no phone number, nothing. There is no way to contact anyone about any issue. Ridiculous! These issues have been on-going for the better part of a year!
Each time I've used Clover, either the code I entered was not accepted or I've had to start over because it erased the past rewards I've earned from purchases at various participating locations. So, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Then the app wouldn't load or take forever to open if and when it did finally open. I've uninstalled it yet again. Leary of how it's going to be this time around. Good idea.. relatively user friendly
App removed my payment information and when I try to re-add it it just keeps giving me the "Well shucks, can't connect to the network" error, while everything else was working. Can't exactly order food without paying... That was 2 weeks ago. Now it refuses to load any local stores or my recent/frequent locations so it's even more useless than before.
So frustrating. Codes sent to by text and by email. When I try to enter one, just takes me in circles. Have also received the "too many codes sent" message. Can't set this up. Cannot find my merchants' shop on the site. My receipts show a Clover ID #. Super frustrating!!!! How am I to redeem a earned gift card when I cannot complete setting up the app?????
There seems to be some kind of login issue that is preventing me from even ordering. I log into the app, I go to checkout, and it says I'm required to add a last name to my account, but when I click on that button it opens a form to open a new account. There's no place elsewhere to change this information. I tried my login on the clover website but that's not accepting my login info. I'm stuck in a limbo of being unable to order and unable to change the information to let me make an order.
Worked fine when I first started using it. Now I can't update my card information. I called their customer support and was told that they can only assist merchants. The ladies at my coffee shop were nice enough to call for me, and were advised that I make a new account. I made the new account, and still am unable to add payment info. It just keeps popping up with "well shucks, we're having trouble connecting to the network". I've tried updating my card for the last month. Officially giving up
Can't attach an email to my account, since the site constantly errors out on verification. Can't transfer my account to my new phone, because too many codes got sent due to erroring out and not sending any until I had done so ~3 times. No sign of a cooldown period, all I get is a condescending "aw shucks" message. So I guess I'm screwed out of points on my account, and there's no good way to contact customer service. Real professional.
This app is horrible. It kept saying could not calculate total. Would not let me place a mobile order. Previously, it would add an extra dollar if you added a tip. The calculations would be right, but the total would be wrong. One time it took me 3 weeks to update my credit card. It kept saying commination error.
Trust the reviews, the app sucks! Had rewards to redeem, and clicked the redeem button by accident before I got to the register. I figured it was okay since the app was "waiting on cashier". Once I did try to redeem, it had disappeared. You'd think the reward would stay until it's actually used..... The interface is basic and there isn't any way for you to look at account history...i don't know why restaurants choose this as their rewards systems, they'll just end up with frustrated customers...
Don't understand the point of the app. Have been paying at Clover POS in different locations using same phone number, I would assume I could see past transactions if I login with the same phone number. Nope, nothing to see, no history. I can't see any loyalty programs for stores using Clover. Good to know that the company is lousy at tracking purchase history with phone number without a Clover account, but that also defeat the purpose of having an app. All in all, the app is rather useless.
The worst app ever. I can't get to my previous orders online, cannot create a password... ordered something from a restaurant that was supposed to be delivery and it went through as pickup. I called, they were out of what I ordered anyways. they say they can't cancel on their end and I have to do it from my end, I can't even get to the order to cancel on my end. Tried calling customer support, it's only for merchants...
I've used the app for several years. I was receiving a message that the app couldn't connect to Clover. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. It worked for a few times. Now after uninstalling the app I keep receiving a message that another user has installed an incompatible version. I can't find any Clover app. I emailed for help and have not received a reply after waiting several days.
I was offered to connect with this app as a customer today. I registered my phone number. Got the credits mentioned. When I attempted to add an email address, the link broke my email app. Closing the mail app, re-opened email, opened another email, app works fine. When attempting to click on the link in Clover email, my email app fails. Tried a couple more times. Restarted phone, tried link again. Same results. Waited several hours, tried different email, same app, same results. Deleting app!!
Well shucks, the app doesn't work. Trying to enter a credit card under "add payment method" and keep getting the error "Well shucks, we're having trouble reaching Clover in the network". Network, both cell and Wi-Fi, is working fine for everything else. Can't order without a payment method, so the app is worse than useless, as it wasted 15min of my time.
Thank you! Signing out and back in fixed the bug! Having a bug with the app where a message shows at the top that says "No connection to Clover." I've used this app for a while and wasn't having this issue, but I think it probably started with the last update. It's not an internet connection problem, since ordering on Clover still works on the Chrome browser. It's just an app issue that I hope gets fixed. I'm using a Google Pixel 4a phone.
An app that requires a printed number to be inserted in order to receive points, but does not accept any version of the numbers printed on the receipt, is a very poorly developed app. I overheard a family talking behind me in the same restaurant. They go through the same struggles so I know it's not just me. Three receipts, three different days, the app rejected the numbers
