So here's my take on CNC Machinist Calculator Pro. I've tested a bunch of machining apps and this one's definitely one of the more comprehensive ones. The range of calculators and tools is impressive, and I like how it has presets for common materials. And it's not the prettiest app, but the functionality is solid. The only real downside is the learning curve - it takes some time to figure out all the features. But once you get the hang of it, it's a super useful tool to have in your pocket.

Pros

  • Tons of different calculators for machining processes
  • Presets for common materials so you don't have to remember speeds and feeds
  • Cycle time calculators are great for quoting new jobs
  • Works offline so you can use it anywhere in the shop
  • Free to download and use

Cons

  • Interface is a bit cluttered and not the most intuitive
  • Takes some time to learn all the different features
  • Occasional bugs or crashes if you're switching between calculators a lot
  • Ads can get annoying if you don't upgrade to the paid version

Description

Been using CNC Machinist Calculator Pro for a couple months now. It’s basically a tool that lets you do all sorts of quick calculations for CNC machining – stuff like cutting speeds, cycle times, and more. Pretty solid app if you’re a machinist, CNC programmer, or hobbyist who needs to crunch numbers on the fly.

Here’s what you can do: there’s calculators for turning, milling, and all kinds of other machining processes. It’s got presets for different materials too, so you don’t have to remember all the speeds and feeds. And the cycle time calculators are super useful when you’re trying to quote a new job. Took me a while to figure out all the features but it’s been a big help.

Look, if you work in a machine shop or do CNC stuff at home, you’ll probably find this app really handy. It’s not perfect – sometimes the interface is a bit clunky – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out for any CNC geeks out there.
