inappropriate, loud, annoying. I installed the app just to leave a review about the ads for this app coming up with people saying inappropriate things on my phone, really loud.
Reviews for Dipsea: Spicy Romantic Fiction
← Back to Dipsea: Spicy Romantic FictionI love the app but I requested a refund and canceled and they haven't returned the 47 bucks . I'll write a better review when they do
tried the try version, it was good. Google charge me for a subscription, now I can't login with saved information and it won't send me the email to reset password. stories are just okay
Love it! The sound quality is impeccable, from the voices to background noises to really put you in the scene. I love that it's woman-made & there are queer stories, though I wish there were more! I know it's still new though so they'll probably add more. I spoke to the developer about an issue and they were awesome too! Overall very pleased. This is a great aide for self pleasure, for partners, or just to listen to. 😊
There's not enough content I'm interested in. I'd really rather hear things that don't try and make 'me' a participant and I'm not into being dominated which also seems like so their go to. The best thing about it is the stuff they have for sleep and a few of the stories are good but a lot of the others have characters sounding awkward and using indentical awkward phrasing to other stories. And I get the impression it's less 'for women' and more for one type of woman and that's it.
I liked the app while using the free trial! I wish there were more nonbinary and mlm stories but the app seems more geared towards women, so I understand why; either way, I enjoyed the stories that I listened to. I think my favorite part of the app was actually the wellness sessions. I accidentally got charged for a year-long subscription and their support team provided a very quick response and refund! While I can't afford it now, I would absolutely consider using it again when I can!
The app worked fine during the free trial but when I didn't cancel and the money was out of my account the app became unusable. Everytime I open it I'm sent to the set preferences page automatically. I select my preference and the next button never highlights. I can't go back or access any other page in the app don't waste your money.
The content is great, however I wanted to cancel my free trail after about 3 days. I went to cancel my freetrail in-app and in the google play store, but it wasn't listing as an active subscription like it should have been. Because of this, I couldn't cancel because Dipsea tried to charge me. I tried to contact Google for this issue but I kept being rerouted to the wrong trouble shooting guides. They charged me for it and I need a refund. I've tried to cancel and now I need my money back.
They prioritize updating their heterosexual audios over their queer audios and they mostly market to WLM listeners. I was hoping for an even playing field. I was really excited to listen to their queer content with my partner and was planning to sign up for the subscription after our free trial. However, we ran out of content in a couple of days and after checking their IG, we noticed how infrequently they add new queer audios. So....it was fun for the free week but not worth it for long term.
I signed up by phone for the 30 day free trial. To do that, you have to give your billing info for a year long subscription, and then cancel it before the 30 days end to not get charged. It won't let you cancel on thier phone interface, only on a computer. Even though I like this app, the fact that it requires a computer to cancel but it'll take all your money and billng info through a phone interface is dishonest and prevents folks without computers from being able to cancel. Please fix this.
WOW. The voice acting is AMAZING and I so look forward to going to bed. I love the "get intimate" stories and sleepovers ( funny, saw a review hating on those - I miss having someone around) but I've (thoroughly) enjoyed everything I've listened to. All of that said, the functioning of the app is abysmal. It's slow, glitchy, freezes often, doesn't stop if you disconnect headphones. Could get awkward. Beware! Didn't have any problems canceling after 7 day trial, subscribed a (dry)week later.
Said "Try 7 days free. Not charged until after trial ends." Continues to try and charge me $69.99 within same minute. $69.99/year or $12.99 monthly just to listen? That's ridiculously expensive for an app that only works half of the time. Why even give people an option for a subscription when literally NOT ONE STORY is unlocked without it. The stories are short and not really that well written. The only thing going for this app is the sound quality, when you can get it to work of course.
I sampled this app's features & I couldn't purchase the full membership, if my situation were different, this is one of only a handful of apps I'd even be interested in subscribing to. It feels like the target audience is female & it's definitely on point there. I'd like to see/hear more female contributors, but the contributors they do have are all really good at what they do. For the right people, this app is amazing & I recommend it highly.
There needs to be more of a variety. More diverse voices. I was initially drawn to the app by the actor Saronus Jackson of Insecure, but his seems to have been the only African American voice on the platform. I've enjoyed the app thus far. No glitches at all. I just would like to hear more diverse actors, or it's simply more of what's always offered and targeted to a certain demographic. There are more listeners from diverse backgrounds out there.
I've always enjoyed romance podcasts/erotic audios, but they have never had the perfect balance of story and eroticism that these audios have. Plus, most audios I've found before have been overwhelmingly straight. I love how varied and queer-friendly this app is. And finally I want to add that I love their characters; for being in 10-minute audios, they feel like real, interesting people and that's what makes them so compelling.
This is the glitchiest, and most non-responsive app I've ever used. Even clicking on a pause button won't work, and I have to force close the app to do anything. Stories are okay- there are just lots of moaning, and not much to really learn or get tips from. As I'm typing, I've been waiting for this one story (only 6 minutes long) to play, but of course, it won't play. I'll have to force close, and retry.
I love the idea of this app! Women really do need a place to find naughty stories without the intensity of traditional pornography. For me, the stories are a bit too tame (even though I selected the hot and steamy preference). I really like the option to include accents (British accent is great!), but I do wish you were able to exclude certain types of categories. Keep up the good ideas!
I really enjoy the app, the amount of content, the different styles, the voice acting is all top notch. I do wish there was a way to filter by length of content, sometimes I want quick and dirty, other times I need more time. For some reason the app itself is glitching, I can no longer 'view more' to read the description under the audios so I have to go in blind, the text will flash for half a second and then vanish and will continue this cycle no matter how many times I click the button.
Great app, just really expensive after the trial. I had a really pleasurable experience with the app, although I wish there was more one to one of the actors monologue with the audience. After the trial ended, my card was automatically charged of which I really needed the money to use for other expenses. Great experience with the app, but again way too expensive.
I'm sure the audio stories are wonderful but the app itself is a disaster. The quiz that's supposed to help curate content straight up does not work. It won't actually let you select anything. When you give up on choosing your preferred pairing, it totally skips past the second page where you choose interests. The read more button on the episodes doesn't work either, as others have mentioned. The app itself needs serious work to support the audio it hosts.
