The app is really fun! I find it strangely addicting, the only issue I have is with the crafting system, I'm not sure if it's my phone or just the app, but whenever a craft is finished I have to let it wait a while before I can collect it. If I try to collect it right after it finishes, my game just freezes up and only shows the loading screen. It's pretty frustrating considering the backlog of duplicate cards I'm trying to craft
Reviews for Disney Collect! by Topps®
← Back to Disney Collect! by Topps®When I got this game, it very quickly became my new favorite. There are the little things that could be changed, such as more missions. After you have completed most of them, it's harder to get coins as easily. Although there are daily missions and weekly missions, the daily missions are very easy to complete and dont really give a challenge. But overall is a great game.
Real trading cards actually have the ability to increase in value, so paying real money for them makes sense. These... will not. There's no way for someone to actually buy a card from you, so there's no reason to spend money. Ok, so the game is free, right? Not if you wanna get all the cards in the small window with the extreme odds. And the coin costs for the packs are getting more ridiculous with the new packs, which are coming too quickly for the odds to pan out. Go, and collect real cards.
I love this game. But there are a few suggestions and concerns I have. 1) I hate how we can't organize our cards in each section. By section, I mean: Super Rare, Rare, Uncommon, Common. The sets are all over the place.. We shound at least be able to have an automatic set match and manual moving. 2) On trade list, people we clicked on and got declined from or can't trade to put them on a another list for already looked so we can not accidentally pick the same ones who aren't a good trade.
My biggest complaint is, that unless you're willing to spend $ on Ebay, there are no opportunities to obtain previously released sets. Trading for these cards is not an option, the likelihood of a trader accepting your swap for one of these "sold out" cards is slim to none at best, nevermind completing a whole set. The problem lies in, that while you're collecting the new card sets, so are they, pretty much eliminating the chance of you using these to barter for the previously released cards.
I have made now three separate purchases (.99, 1.99, and 4.99) and they have charged my card but I did NOT go through on the Disney app. Says there was an error! This is completely ridiculous and it going to take days to hear back from the emails sent. This needs to be fixed or I quit! Took a bit, but I was able to get what I paid for. Game is super buggy. But I do love it. Wish they would do story cards for Sleeping Beauty.
Love the app but a thing or two... Ever since the last update, the app keeps crashing. I've personally never had this problem before and I've been on and off since 2020. It's quite annoying to keep having to reload the app. (Galaxy S21) Additionally if there was a way to select certain base cards to not craft without including those in our "Locked Cards" total that would be great!
Addicting if you love Disney and collecting! The app could definitely be improved for easier navigation. It took a while to learn how everything worked. I had to play around for a while and still haven't quite figured out trading. I wish there was an option to clear your wish list instead of having to remove cards individually. Also, despite all of the cards in the game, it's missing my favorite character :( (Oswald the Lucky Rabbit). Overall, it's fun but needs a lot of work on user interface.
Overall it's a fun app. The "odds" are a bit off and end up draining your coins. I think there should be more ways to get free coins considering the number of different sets there are to collect. Like Disney is great at, it sucks people's money away from them. I really enjoyed it, but it's not fun when you can't even get 2 daily cards without stressing out. Way more games out there that I actually have fun playing.
I'm conflicted with this app.... At times I absolutely love it, collectible trading cards in a digital form are just so cool to me. But the downsides are the apps performance. It's.... less than stellar. Takes forever to load everything: trades, packs, card collection. Even booting the app takes forever. The only thing keeping me to the app is my love of Disney. Please improve the quality of the app.
One thing it's missing is there should be a notification that someone has accepted or denied my trade proposals. Sometimes I try to make deals with cards Just some notifications and then a reminder of what the trade was would be nice. Also when interacting with another player, where you find their names you should also have the last time they were online, so you're not trading with someone who has been inactive. Lastly, work with Facebook so we can find friends who play and trade with them.
Loved the game in the beginning. But too much lack of clarity with trades and game freezes while going through collections of other trading partners. For the past day I haven't been able to access game because of not being able to communicate with Disney servers and maintenance. I'm not sure what's going on but does this usually take a couple of days?
Last update destroyed the daily disney card collecting part. By having only 1 standard daily disney, it destroyed the trading for that. Yes, the card is free. Great. But because you can't get more of them no one trades those. If you miss a day, you can't trade for it. Also, there are days it's impossible to get the shiny/rare version. People rarely trade those because why keep buying packs after getting one?
For the people complaining about the glitchy update, I simply uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it works fine. This game is lots of fun, but it is very easy to spend real money. I look at it as entertainment; what entertainment is free? I look forward to seeing what's next! I hope we get different ways of viewing cards (seeing sets during trades) and the ability to put a trade on hold (i.e.,to check the feed or unlock one of our own cards).
Unless you want to spend a lot of money on digital cards STAY AWAY!!!!! The game was pretty fun at first thought the trading needs a lot of work, but when it comes to getting cards that aren't in the "core" set it is very hard without spending a ton of cash. They have odds posted of getting a set card when you open a pack. I was trying to get a set the is 1:15. I just opened 65 packs and finally got a card. It is very frustrating. About to give my cards away and delete.
Good game. I like the different card options. Plenty to choose from and a new set comes out regularly. That being said I wish the card filter included an option to not include sold out cards so its easier to find current needs. Also a great idea would be having a card shop to get rid of extra cards. Someone could go to the shop, find a card they want and trade based off your needs list! Also it would be nice to not have a limit on which cards you want to lock... 🙃
It's a fun little time waster, but you need to put serious effort into learning how to play. There are no tutorials on how to trade, earn coins, ect. I was lucky enough to post on the trading boards and find a few people who were willing to teach me how to play. I still enjoy the game, just wish it was easier to earn the non-base cards, maybe decrease the odds of some of the more basic packs so that new players aren't so jaded to never win non-base set cards, and definitely make more options on how to win coins. The arcade would be fun if there were mini games to play to earn coins.
I love everything about this game, except the trading system. The trade feed gets clogged, it's hard to tell what other people need if it's not in their list. It's very one sided, it's hard to keep up with the thread. Submitted trades disappear without saying declined or accepted. It gets frustrating. I love everything else, kind of hate trading with this set up.
This app is nothing but a money sucker. They had an item for sale they claim was posted by mistake, then took items from me that I bought through no fault of mine, just their mistake. when I asked for the items to be returned or a refund issued, their "customer service" ignored me. They don't care about anything but making money. it's a shame, because it could be a fun site. Massively disappointed.
Fun game. Not sure why I have to lock card to keep others from getting them. Also, when combining two cards, the app almost always claims I have a poor internet connection the first try, then does fine after the error message. No error reporting option in app. There should be no limit to locking cards, you should be able to lock a single card if you have duplicates, and you should be able to blanket lock groups of cards.
