Reviews for EarnIn: Why Wait for Payday?

I've only used it a couple of times so far, but haven't found anything negative to speak about in that short time. They have a reminder that tips help keep their service free and I have no problem with that. In fact I appreciate it because I always forget. They give a subtle hint as to how much's appropriate, although you are in total control whether you tip or not, and also how much. I do love that feature. Definitely recommend!

I can't believe my beginning advance is $50! I've been with Dave for nearly a year and still only get $25! If I'm even eligible! I highly recommend Earnin! No hidden fees! You have an option of adding a tip to pay it forward to others looking for help with advances but not necessary to receive your advance. Give Earnin a try! You might be pleasantly surprised! Because I definitely was!

They kept putting tons of pressure on me to sign up for direct deposit on the app and assured me it wouldn't change anything. So I did. As a result, my pay did not get deposited on time and I received over $200 in overdraft fees. They assured me they would wave the $3 fee associated with the direct deposit component. Anyways, I'm still waiting for my paycheck to be deposited into my bank. I had to cancel several appointments as a result of this. What's the benefit of signing up for direct deposi

I have been consistently using this app for at least 3/4 years. I would tell you not to download because in all of my years of using this app it seems the app is in control of it all and the support team has nothing they can do to help fix it, They cant help if the app just randomly decides to cut the amount you can get (even when you get the same income and pay back your previous payments) or if you wake up one day and can take out 120 and then the next day you can only take out 18 dollars etc.

I recently changed my review from a 5 star down to a 2. Ease of use is the same but they have become inconsistent with how much they allow you to borrow. The system arbitrarily reduces the amount available for transferring out by $50. From one pay period to the next, you never know how much they'll allow you to advance. Use a more reliable app.

This one is really legit. The advance limit is generous and can increase as you continue to use the app. Fees are optional if you are willing to wait a day or two for your advance. Repayment is always on payday. My only complaint is that there's a daily limit of $150 in addition to the actual advance limit, but if you plan ahead for things you know you'll need money for, this app can really come in handy.

trying to get out from under this predatory app. it was great at first but now not so much. limit borrow amount then they want tips and lightening fees. but then when it's time to pay they take the whole sum back and you cannot do one withdrawal. and now they cut the amount you can get to 60 per day even though nothing has changed. just gotten ridiculous. it's a trap to keep you looped in. great for emergencies but get out while you can.

They mess with your max constantly and say they can't fix the changes to the limit, when they've changed it for me before. I had an issue with my account and they had a " specialist " look it over and verify that there indeed was an issue. after that my Max was raised and then the following week was dropped back even lower than what it originally was even though none of my paychecks had changed, nor my spending habits. Support is a joke. I'd give 0 stars if I could. DONT USE THIS APP.

my review was a 5 star. I've raved about this app even told coworkers and friends, its helped me in some of my worst times. But literally aggravated with whats happening. My payments have been on time, even my account balance hasn't changed very much. Yet every week for 3 weeks now its gone down $50. When I ask customer service they say its an algorithm. So how is it that my amounts been reset and the next day it goes down. Eventually there will be no reason to even USE the app. Disappointing 😥

UPDATE: Customer Service got me sorted, and the app has been great ever since. It's really saved me on multiple occasions. I couldn't even get signed up. It detected my accounts, but when I went to enter my account info and save, it just kicked me back to the screen prompting me to enter my account info. Also, no place for contacting them or getting support in the app.

I've used the Earnin app for a while now and I've never had this many problems opening the app itself. Yeah I can log in on the website but to really do anything I need the app. I was able to open the app briefly a couple days. I got my advance which is great! But i can't ask anyone for a boost on the web page. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times. It doesn't work. Fix it already! Yet I bet come Friday, y'all have no problem getting your money. 🙄

ok well let's see. this app claims to track your pay and lets you access it early. Not really the case for me. I have a check arriving in 1 business day that will be just shy of $3000. My pathetic max has been $100 and not moving. they charge a fee to send money instantly and money each paycheck to be in the app. Think about how many apps give you overdraft for free this app is milking almost $20 a month to give me $100 overdraft. chime doubles that and money lion gave me $800 when I used them.

UPDATE: of course no one helped me with this situation. They deleted my account and now I can't connect my bank because it's still connected to my old account that they deleted. I've emailed them I've contacted customer support on the app and no one helped me in this situation. I'm actually confused of how they got a really high rating. NEW UPDATE: Forced to leave it closed because no one assisted. They keep replying to email them. I already did, twice. If you can go elsewhere, do so.

It's helped me out when I needed it but taking 2 stars off for 2 reasons. First, I've never missed a payment yet my amount has gone down from 750 to 250 which I'm sure eventually will get to the lowest. It makes no sense at all. So I stopped tipping. Second, they should make it where it waits till your deposit hits before taking the payment & putting you in a negative balance. Other cash advance apps do.

The app works. I want to warn people that in order to even raise your max you have to route your bank account. I've tried over and over to raise my max by having over $1000 in my account. They stated it needs to be routed to THEIR bank they wanted me to open an account. I didn't trust it. now I'm in an endless cycle of paying back 50$ and the max won't even raise. I'm writing this review under a different email, just warning people. it can work, you just have to completely ditch your bank.

I started with $600. it dropped to $200 for 2 weeks and change to $350. I have not use this app in about a month now. They will probably say something about spending habits but that's not true because nothing changed when i had 600. I make more money now. Im unlink all my bank info and close the account. You better of finding a line of credit because you get a higher limit and they don't take the whole amount you borrowed back all once when payment due.

As someone who has recently been through a rough patch financially, I've used pretty much ALL the available cash advance apps. There are ones that legitimately work well, ones that work but could use some improvements, and ones that failed to work at all. EarnIn is easily one of, if not THE, very best on the Play Store at the moment! I can't speak to EarnIn's other tools or services, but in terms of their cash advances, it works perfectly! There is no monthly fee and it's easy to use. 🥳

This app is pretty great for helping in a pinch. However, my biggest issue is that if a repayment processes on your end, it may not process for them. During a long conversation with Support, I had to jump through hoops after already providing what Support was asking of me only to be prompted to send the same thing I sent previously. I would recommend using other apps rather than this one.

Don't know what happened, used this all the time. Then, two weeks ago, it kept telling me my bank credentials were wrong. Once it stopped doing that, it suddenly stopped working again. Contacted support, and the app was saying it was connected to my savings even though it showed my checking account was linked. Cashed out. And suddenly it's doing it again. It also just gives me a blank screen when I attempt to "select the account". I think this will be the end of me using this.

So I've had this app for about a year or more now. I never had any issues using it. I would borrow and payback on time. My borrow amount even went up after a while. Even if my bank account was in the negative already or the amount that I borrowed came out and put me in the negative, the transaction would still go through. Now I'm seeing that they're "bouncing" and being returned. I called my bank and told them the problem, and even they see the transaction going through completely on their end.
