Later edit (after several months): Today I updated the app. It was a very bad decision. They removed the field where I added in the past the tracking number after marking the order as shipped. Old review: Very good app! If the owners could add a basic and critical feature to send messages to customers via the shop (or website), it would be perfect (contacting the customer via independent email or via phone is not always the best option, and it creates obstacles in getting returning customers.
Reviews for Ecwid Ecommerce
← Back to Ecwid EcommerceI looked at multiple online shop options for some time and am so glad I picked Ecwid. This has everything I needed and much more. Absolutely easy to set up, great graphics, easy to upload my images, linking other social media sites was absolutely the easiest thing to do too. Setting up multiple payment options again took mere minutes. I had my first sale in 2 days!! Love it! 10 stars more like!!!!!!!!
Easy to use, friendly and fast service
Great App easy to use. Great for my retail store.
They force you to pay for Venture then won't refund you if you immediately cancel it. Shopping profiles don't work, you can't even collect revenue. Too many ads. Customer service only cares about making sure whatever the issue is "it's not their fault" it's the customers fault and that somehow they just didn't understand. Very outdated way of preforming.
Very limited functions, sometimes too complicated, very expensive integration apps, it's not cheap at all, paying €50 a month for a online shop it is expensive for a starter business which have more than 100 items to sell. You should offer free advertising on google & not any application you add to the online store you have to pay extra monthly. Personally if I see a degrees in sales I will stop my subscription.
As someone who isn't tech savvy, I was dreading the process of setting up my website. After trying a few other website builders I finally found Ecwid and it was a godsend! I love that there's a bunch of ways to customize, or if preferred, an easy quick set up function. It's beginner friendly and there's helpful articles and step by step guides. The first 10 products are free. If you want to list more than that and unlock things like adding your own domain, the pricing is under $15 a month :)
SEO is a little clumsy but great otherwise. great job Lightspeed.
I don't know what's wrong with this app, I'm new user and when I try to login, it says "no store is associated with Google account you are using to log in" Bro, I'm new user, and not only that, I already tried my three account to sign up but didn't work... so I give 1 star... I'm so frustrating that still can't sign up at all.. Please fix this issues...
app crashes and its really slow in searching for orders and products. something happened the last few weeks and I cannot use the app version anymore. it's inconvenient using the web version.
I definitely recommend this app for your business, it's easy to manage and it works great! I had Shopify before and it just wasn't it for me as I like things more simple and easier to manage and that's exactly what this does, on Shopify my website would always get slow, but on Ecwid it's always fast, good looking and easy to manage, there is only a few things that I do wish, is that we could customize the SHOPPING BAG and add custom font and maybe a custom landing page like a blog or something.
Without a phone number for customer service and everything is through email or chat isn't good. I'd rather talk to someone on the phone when I'm trying to troubleshoot or need help with my account. It's alot easier n convenient that way. Instead of sending lengthy emails or chats. Checking my email for an response to a problem or concern about my account is definitely not on my daily list of to do things. It's an inconvenience
Something they don't tell you about is that this mobile app requires a subscription for after about a month. Doesn't say this anywhere in their free plan or mention anything about the app in the paid plans. Mentions a branded mobile app for your storefront, but that isn't what this is. You don't know you're on a "free trial" until about 3 days before the end of it when they email you about upgrading. Such a shady business practice. & yes, you can still use their website, but that isn't the point
easy to use. my only complaint would be that although the app contains all of the functionality of the desktop dashboard some of the store editing commands can be hard to locate. i.e. adding a discount coupon can be done on the app but it isn't clear to tap and hold the pencil icon to edit the coupon values (code, users, valid dates, etc)
Opened my store Nov. 25th and Recieved my first order today, Dec. 1st. Had shopify 2 weeks and made no sales. There are a couple things that could make this better. First is, fix the sale notification. I have it on but never recieved a notification when I recieved an order. Good thing I checked my e-mail. Second, all paid plans should include vairants, since to get them, it would be cheaper to go with shopify since they charge $5 less and include it plus unlimited products. I think that would get ecwid more subscribers from people that want more than 10 items but under 100 and not have to pay $30 for Shopify or $35 for ecwid. I can deal with under 100 products but, not being able to add vairants is killing me. The purpose of switching to ecwid was for the cheaper cost. Please add vairants to all paid plans. People are bound to upgrade to add more products if they can get more sales because they can give thier customers a choice like for size, color and so fourth. I know I'd upgrade and pay $5 more than shopify charges just to keep the same website, if I was making more sales because my customers could choose the size, color, or whatever other vairants my items may have. Most products have some sort of vairants and you shouldn't hold your paying subscribers back from taking advantage of vairants. It not only helps them make more sales, but helps ecwid make more from those same sales. Edit: I also noticed when I put a description in using the app, it doesn't always post. I had to goto the website to do it. Glad I double checkthe description to make sure it posts.
App is horrible. None of my shipping costs are shown that I have already set up on the web version of Ecwid. Lists everthing as global, when everthing is already set for flat rate. There is no dark mode, which is an instant deal breaker for mobile. Also, send email link is dead, it will open up your preferred mail app, but doesn't populate the To field, so no way to even send an email. Think I'll just stay with the web version on pc.
great for making small adjustments to your products on the go. The only problem I have is when you make adjustments to your product description it gets rid of your text format and makes one big block of text so you will eventually have to go back into the website version and fix your text formatting. Otherwise if you're just making small edits to your pricing, quantity, or product options this app is great on the go!
This place beats selling on Etsy, Shopify and eBay. I mean the ease of use to build a simple website it astonishingly easy. I did it all from my phone and it even looks good on a web browser! Fair price for upgraded accounts. If your making money, $20 isn't a big fee. I made a mistake and accidentally purchased the upgraded account twice in the same day. And they were pretty quick with making sure I got my money back. Extremely responsive in email. All around good people to work with.
I've been using Ecwid for my retail store for a few months now, and I'm really pleased with both the functionality contained in the app, and the performance. I do sometimes use my laptop, but find myself using the phone app to run my store more than anything. It's easy to update inventory, pictures, review and pack orders, etc. on the go. I also live in a rural area with bad internet and cell service, and the app functions well even in poor service areas.
Love it. Refuse to use any other. Easy to use and navigate. Support is always available. Editing my review and removing 1 star. Although the app is continuously improving. I will admit it is bothersome that it doesnt allow the ability to ship directly from the shop. No on wants to pay another app to pay more for shipping. This leaves just 1 option for accepting payments from customers which isn't so great. Sorry guys
