Reviews for Exodus 90: The #1 Freedom App

← Back to Exodus 90: The #1 Freedom App

i was optimistic about the app, but then I couldn't mark my readings as complete so it didn't let me progress, then I realized all the readings are AI voice generated. Altogether I feel exploited, I gave my full name and set a profile picture. What a shame. God bless the people who made this app, I hope they commit themselves to becoming more genuine and charitable.

$90 is a lot of money to pay for an app that is constantly buffering and regularly freezing. Even if the app worked flawlessly, the value of return isn't near worth the price. It is essentially a poorly executed habit tracker, messaging, and podcast app. If the app weren't so overpriced and slightly less dysfunctional, I'd give it 2 stars.

Exodus 90 is a solid program of spiritual & human liberation, development, growth. The platform serves its purpose, which is to provide the program readings/materials, and unite the brothers in each group. For those complaining about cost, the $10/month after the 1-week trial is not the cost of the app, but of the program itself. They've just chosen to collect fee via the App Store, instead of separately as before. I would suggest a quick intro interface so users can find way their way around.

Idk what you're doing with this app, but the number 1 thing you could possibly do to stop people from signing up is to shove the $90 fee in their face before letting people even see the app or the asceticisms (I literally cannot figure out how to view the app without paying the fee). This is just an insane shoot yourself in the foot wrong move to me. I mean if you're going to throw the $90 fee in people's face first thing, at least put a big X out on there so people can view the app b4 they buy!

Great program, but the app sometimes hangs, requiring a restart. The UI could be a little better here and there. It would also be nice to be able to pull down all of the daily meditations so they are available offline (e.g. while in a church or chapel or airplane). But the team is still working on it and making it better.

A bit let down. I joined a group for the Lent portion. After commiting and participating for 8 days I got the notification to sign up. The only option noted was a yearly subscription which seemed strange for a program billed as a 90 day journey. I had already agreed to do this with a group so I paid up and joined. Later that day I was told there is a monthly option and I messaged the app to get my subscription changed. They waited a week or more to respond and told me to contact Google.

Exodus 90 is an excellent spiritual discipline which I definitely give five stars, but for me the app has been buggy, most significantly with regard to the discipline tracking feature. For me, if you skip a day, which happens when you are staying off of your phone, the counters all go to zero. That bug needs to get fixed & I wish there was a way to manually enter that for more than the current day.

Great app, intuitive, informative. There's a bug where, if you switch to a different app, and then back, it freezes (the app won't respond to touch commands) for anywhere from 30 seconds to indefinitely. If there's a place to submit bug reports, please let me know. This bug is the only thing that's keeping this from being a 5-star rating.

Superb spiritual exercise. It is intuitive, easy to use, and the content is solid. Facilitates easy communication with my fraternity. Does occasionally freeze when I re-open it so I have to restart the app. But the program itself is so good I dont mind. If this was fixed and the field guide and readings were accessible offline it would be perfect. Thank you!

The Exodus 90 app is great, there are so many Religious exercises and books from the Bible that you work on and read. The Religious exercises are set up, so that you are accommodated through the whole year. It is a great app, I recommend it to all who wish to better their knowledge in their Christian Religion, Christian Faith, and be closer to God.

I love the program, and for my type of personality, checking off items as I do them and seeing either all or a majority highlighted does great for me. Having a brotherhood is awesome. Haven't really been in a group of men where we talked seriously about struggles and realize that I am not alone. Get the app, do it!! You will be glad you did.

It's okay. I decided to try it for the St. Michael's Lent, and I couldn't get a free trial to work, so I went straight to a monthly payment. The app has glitches. On the opening page, it looks like there is an audio button to play the daily readings and reflections, but the button doesn't do anything. Clicking on the larger icon will open a player, but again, pressing the play button does nothing. The content is as promised, so no surprises there.

Overall great, with a few quirks. The Exodus 90 program itself is fantastic for those who are looking to grow in their relationship to God. It's not easy, but so far it's been very rewarding. For the app, it works well. There are a few quirks... Freezing when you return to the app, keyboard doesn't work like my stock android, and you can't remove someone from a fraternity if they bail and just delete their app. Minor things though, and they don't detract from the overall experience.

This is my 3rd outstanding Exodus 90 program. You can do a book version of the program, but this is an excellent companion. The app makes you track the things that you signed up for on a daily basis, a couple of forms of prayer, some ascetical practices, like fasting etc. It gives you the first 10 days free, then it's a charge per month. Being the program runs 3 months or 90 days, be sure to stop the charge piece. or you may be even tempted to run the program again once you complete it once!

The Exodus program is great. The only problem is that you have to sign up for a "membership" now to use it. I'm giving it 3 stars because it now smacks of cheap, sneaky websites that try to get you to sign up for something and then hope that you forget to cancel. That is exactly how this app works now. Please change it back to the old pay-as-you-go format you had last year.. (Note: I put a reminder on my calendar to cancel so that I won't get hit with surprise charges.)

Readings and material are easy to manuver. If check boxes are helpful for you, this will work for you. The app is quick and keeps track across divices (cell phone, desktop and laptop). You can see and review your history both is daily activities and on the chat page. The chat is embedded in the app making check in's, readings and the whole conversation conveniently all in one place. Blessing to all your endeavors.

There is a hidden membership cost. The app itself is intuitive and the 90 day challenge features are great, but the one thing that bugs me is the hidden membership. I only saw that requirement in the verification email (the one that most people open for the code), and in an email when I was already halfway through the free trial. I wouldn't mind the subscription if they were a bit more open about it, but they failed to mention this in the welcome video and in the field guide.

This is a nice app, I appreciate the ability to track progress easily. It is humbling how hard it is to keep the disciplines, but that is also helpful. Sometimes recording the readings as done doesn't "take", and I would really like an offline mode for readings and app use, as I don't have a data plan. Otherwise great job and God bless your work!

Exodus 90 changed my life, and I intend to keep doing Exodus every Lent for the foreseeable future. I've done Exodus two years in a row, and the changes made to this app are phenomenal. The readings have wonderful reflections, including the daily mass readings. The discipline checklist was a great addition. The decision to make the weekly meeting doc easy to access was a great one. If these changes have been made in just the last year, I can't wait to see what they'll do next year with it.

Fantastic program! The app is laid out very well and is easy to use. The only issue is that you can't see the next day's reflection until that day comes. This made it a little hard, because my fraternity started a week late because of our school's schedule, but we wanted to be done on Easter still. Those of us with the app couldn't skip ahead to read the final reflections before Easter.
