The sound technology that this marvellous app uses has at least 50 years of research behind it and is continually evolving all the time. It's definitely worth trying it out for yourselves. As someone who only likes to meditate for short periods, the app works wonders for me and my personal circumstances. I am eternally graftul for the magical life I am manifesting since attending the Monroe gateway program in the UK and using this wonderful app. 🥰
Reviews for Expand: Beyond Meditation
← Back to Expand: Beyond MeditationIt is very difficult to rate the meditations when 4 out of the 5 times I have used the app, it has crashed after about 10 minutes. There are no issues with my Internet nor my device. I have paid the yearly subscription only to have each experience with the app completely ruined. I would like a refund.
I would say this is a great app and I have not had any issues so far. I would like to make a suggestion for the timers through. Especially with Focus 10 and above, would be nice to have the option to have C1 tones at the end so I feel safe to continue with daily activities. Also a way to chain meditations and timers like a playlist would be nice. But I think having the C1 tones at the end would be more important for safety reasons.
My biggest issue is I can't use the app offline. We suffer frequent blackouts here and being unable to use it during these times is frustrating. I also wish we could once off purchase the high quality audios available in the app. I only use 4 and would like access to them when the internet isn't available. Edit: offline mode is here!
Enjoy the Meditations, but I'm paying the $69.99/yr and not all are unlocked. 3 stars mainly due to having to pay an additional $69.99/yr ($139.98). Subscript renewal in 6 months may drop due to finances! all apps and subscriptions eating us up.
App is well designed. I feel the range of options are far too little.
Don't know why my reviews keeps disappearing. Very strange, but 2 reviews now gone, so here is my 3rd. No app is worth over £50 per year. It seems an ok app, but, am I prepared to pay for full subscription and then find out it's not all that ? No thanks. If for instance it was a monthly subscription, I might give it a go, but to pay all that money to a supposed none profit organisation and find I don't get much from it ? If say 1 million people people subscribed, that's over 50 million pounds.
Having these meditations available on my phone is such a treat. The specialised sounds help me quickly get to a relaxed state. Sometimes my partner and I listen to them together with both headphones in my phone. He loves them too. They can relax you or take you on a journey to explore. I always look forward to using them and often treat myself to them.
The "timer" audio (not the best name) are excellent, I use the sleep one three or four times a week when I can't sleep and it works very well most of the time. Some of the other meditations are good although many have quite cheesy music. I really really wish that they would allow to listen to the timer audio offline, as when you're on a plane a few of these would be very useful. Otherwise I'll have to try and record the audio via a PC emulator which is not ideal.
I really like the app and how all is structured. Also I really appreciate The Monroe Institute... however I stopped using this app. I would suggest to change the narrators (or maybe use a cotton like filter, which smooths out the voices), since it's a bit too street like, maybe more professional narrators would do it? Once I even startled out of a meditation because the voices sound edgy, too sharp. Good luck 🤞
I have been practicing meditation incorporating binaural beats for a few years. This app is next level, in my opinion it is the real deal. I purchased the app after 3 hours of separate meditation practices. The sound quality is superior to all other apps I have used over the years. My experiences with this app are all positive.
I want to like this app, and I was almost considering subscribing. Unfortunately, it seems to require a constant internet connection and will abruptly stop in the middle of a session claiming I'm offline. Specifically, I'm talking about the timer function. Why it needs a constant connection to play a sound loop is beyond me. Regardless, it's a huge disruption that makes this app unusable.
It's OK, but needs additional work. It appears that the rating system hasn't been activated yet as all tracks are 4/5 stars. When I bookmark (heart) a track there does not seem to be a way to find it again quickly. There should also be a method to sort all tracks by length and rating, and number of plays.
Yes I agree $75 is a huge chunk especially when the insight timer app offers the worlds largest selection of free meditations, live meditations every hour talks, and courses you can take. That app is amazing. You can really tell who is passionate about what they do and truly help people in the world especially now. Opposed to who is out to make a quick dollar from those who can afford it. I think it's a shame.
The only reason I downloaded the app was for their 'Beyond the Physical' meditations, which are the only really unique ones. Unfortunately they are ALL behind a paywall. Every other meditation app I've used has at least a week unlimited trial access. No way I'm shelling out $70 or even $12 for a month without access to ANY of the Beyond The Physical meditations to figure out if it's worth the expense. I urge you to offer at least one or two of these for free.
Would be immediately more valuable if signals weren't limited to 2 hours (unlimited would be ideal). All background soundscapes have noticeable loop points which become distracting. These need to be remade properly, fully recorded. For me, the new signals don't work at all compared to the original more basic tapes and with Robert's guidance. Not sure if that means what I think it means. There's a lot that needs to be improved in order for them to justify charging this much per month or year.
I'm sure it's great in some ways. I did a couple of meditations and they were nice. I don't find the search feature useful at all, which makes the app difficult to use. Coming from the Gateway Experience tapes, I searched for "focus 11," "human plus," "h-plus," and finally just simply "manifestation," which is one of their categories. All came back with zero results
Very unique from every other meditation app I've tried. I feel a definite difference when using it. It's obvious a significant amount of time & research went into the development of these techniques. Very effective, definitely recommend. But a monthly vs yearly subscription would be more helpful to the people interested in unlocking additional services.
The tiny handful of audios accessable in the free version are fantastic, but with no free trial to determine if premium is even worth it, $70 a year is absolutely insane. The price alone excludes all but those who can afford the luxury of spending nearly $100 on an app they haven't even fully tried, making it inaccessible to the vast majority! While "just $5.83 a month" would be completely reasonable, the all or nothing option is only costing you hundreds of potential customers.
Looks good so far just got the full version today. But when I click on the timer at bottom right and choose any of the tracks, be it sleep, focus, focus 10, 12, 18, etc. And no accompanying background music, the hemi-sync/binaural beats are all exactly the same??? Shouldn't they be different based on which focus level you're listening to, to get the desired brain wave pattern??
