Not fabulous, disappointing. Had been using this app since early 2010s. Now confusing with additional apps and additional charges for things that once were in the original app. Hard to navigate. Do NOT recommend. Poor customer service. Signed up for a yearly subscription with one price, only to have it show up as a recurring charge plus an additional charge that was never signed up for. Denied a refund for 3x the cost charge. Was once person-centered and helpful, but now it's just for money.
Reviews for Fabulous Daily Routine Planner
← Back to Fabulous Daily Routine PlannerGreat app if you can build the habit of using it. When I use it consistently to keep me on routine it has made a big difference. sometimes I dismiss the notifications without thinking and then get out of the habit of using it. But can be used for its resources too. breathing meditations, exercise prompts, daily routines. love it!
I see the vision but the money greed in this app is excessive. They constantly offer you a dozen apps to sign up for in addition. it keeps suggesting routines I dont want despite removing them. when I cancelled my trial it went from offering trial extension, to plan discount, to monthly offer, then when you finally cancel it tries to get you to sign up for a different app. the app is also horrific. plus the layout of the app is terrible.
I fully agree with all the other critical reviews from this year. On top of predatory advertising, subscription practices, and unauthorized charges; there is no way to actually speak to customer service. They deny any request for help or refund. Im pretty sure theyve been posting ai generated reviews and responses to inflate their score. their services are pushy, predatory, and available elsewhere for much cheaper if not free while being much more helpful. wouldn't recommend this app ever.
Got signed up for a sub after trying and uninstalling, but they let me refund it, with zero hassle, which was appreciated, so 3 stars for great customer service. That said, from a design perspective I feel like the app needs to make it clearer what is required and what is premium, and when the app says "you must manage your subscription at our website," it should include an actual link -- unable to find an official The Fabulous website using Google search.
I could have applied for a home loan in the time it took to set this app up. I've been here for half an hour checking boxes and declining special offers. I just wanted to see what the app was like but apparently I will be here until the rapture just setting the damn thing up. I've spent 5 minutes alone just reassuring the app in different ways that I'm committed to drinking water.
Worst interactions I've ever encountered. I didn't sign up for this app & when I requested to be refunded, they refused. I was charged $39.99 on July 24th, but when I emailed them they said they had no record of me being charged. They stated that they would cancel my subscription and I wouldn't be charged $49.99 on July 26th. What?! I emailed them again that I never sign up and they needed to refund me. This time I added a photo of them taking the $39.99 out of my Paypal. Major SCAM App! BEWARE!
So far, not great. it's confusing to use and lots of UI bugs. I just want a way to track habits and routines and this is trying to be so much more that I'm confused as heck. Why do I have a drink water in the morning habit? I don't need that. It's trying to do a bunch of things automatically for me instead of figuring out what it is I've already determined I want to work on. Pushing the subscriptions is annoying too, let me figure out the basics before I add even more features.
I have used so many apps for daily habits, setting up a routine, etc...this app already feels different on day one! I usually get half way through the set up process and never touch the app again but I'm excited for this one every day. it's aesthetically pleasing, it doesn't make me feel like I'm setting up another chore for myself or wasting my time. I will absolutely update this review as I go. it's also really affordable! I'm a single mom college student so $40 for a whole year is amazing!
I think the people who designed this app never met anyone with attention or motivation issues (i.e. the intended audience). Do they not realize that decision paralysis is a big part of the problem? There's a million different things to click around and read through, but almost nothing to actually do that would keep your attention. Also, the kind of new age psycho babble they use is off-putting. Also, it just keeps telling me to drink water which is a habit I've had since high school
Started with a "contract" to help me succeed. Been there, done that, didn't help. Then a letter from my "future self" that just seems childish to me. It just doesn't seem to be anything groundbreaking compared to other apps I've tried, esp for the $, so I canceled it right away. Be aware that there are 2 places on the account subscription page to cancel, one under fabulous and one under bundled apps. One would think those would be canceled too since they were bundled with the main app. Sneaky.
This app is really helpful in setting routines. I now drink water as soon as my alarm goes off, and it really helps me start the rest of my routine it's helping me set. To me, it's worth paying for. However, there are way too many prompts to share stuff with a friend, and it feels like an attempt to sell the app to more people. The app costs $39 for 2 months, and $50 for the upgraded plan, and I think paid should not do this.
Worst self help app yet. Glitchy and pricey. Wants you to drop everything to complete a goal but if you need a minute you dont get the "rewards" when you try to complete the goal later (if it even lets you, half the time the "I've completed this" button doesn't work). Plus its constantly wanting you to sign up for other pricey apps. Don't waste your time or money.
BEWARE! I signed up for a $1 "free trial" and wound up being charged a "set up" fee for a "free trial" bundle of other apps that I don't even want for $20! I immediately canceled that but even after communicating with the company they refuse to refund it. It’s a scam. One wrong click is all it took and they intentionally make it hard to see the correct button.
The app has nice visuals and it seems to be trying to do something good. But it is way too busy looking and confusing. I was excited to start but each time I opened the app I could not get a clear sense of what I was supposed to be doing. Three days in and I just had water when I woke up. If there is a good app in here it is buried behind a confusing structure and visual organization. I'd suggest they do less, clearly to start. As you get deeper into the app they can introduce all the things.
A few affirmations, a 3 day assignment where you commit to drinking water for 3 days straight bc it will create a habit in you after 3 days. C'mon, Science learned a while ago that it takes 60 days to build a new habit for an app that gives you very little for the money & misinformation. The kicker.. In order to progress to the next level you have to give them 5 stars! Thats the work. They bribe you in order for you to unlock the next level! Save your money for an app that really can help you!
Easy to use. I can see how this would help in the long-term. Cheap for what it's worth. Update, I did have an issue with my free trial and was charged but they handled it quickly and satisfactorily. I'll eventually sign back up when I cancel other subscriptions that I don't need which are adding up but I still recommend this app. It gives you a feeling of peace just by the user interface and appearance. It's well out together. Best wishes to you all in your journeys. This is a good app to add.
I like the idea of this app. The graphics are cool, but the number of pop ups to even get into the app the 1st time is terrible. I've never seen an app this bad with asking a bunch of questions about goals that are all multiple choice instead of letting you put in your own answers, immediately asking to sign up for a free trial when you haven't even gotten to see the app yet, forcing your first goal to be drink water (can't be deleted for some reason), on and on. Too frustrating to use.
Confusing subscription structure. Premium is quite expensive, then on top of that they sell Bundle access to their other apps, but it's unclear what it includes. It appears that I'd need to pay a Premium subscription for the 2nd app that I liked. Not sure what's the point of the Bundle subscription then. Probably that's a way for them to introduce us to other apps, but at user's cost.
2 days in, and they're only pushing drinking water, which I already do, just not in the evenings. Other apps are included in the free trial but you have to download them all. Ugh. Why not combine them all? App burnout is real. No way to customize font, so if you have dyslexia this probably won't work for you since they use a seriffed font. Also cannot customize content once you've set your goals there's no way to skip ahead if you're bored or need to fine tune your goals.
