Reviews for Fitbit

Use to be a great app. Lots of data immediately available in easy to read format. Every update removes more of that. Words replaced with cryptic icons. Graphics so large you have to scroll and scroll to see stuff. Most data that was available on the homescreen has been buried in nested menu clicks. Tips filling the screen that you can't disable. Awful. As soon as I find a replacement with a decent food budget, this app is uninstalled. Only good thing left in the app. Period. Don't buy a Fitbit.

I use the app often, and for the most part, it is great. I am giving three stars because there are too many bugs with logging food. For a while where it would not log properly, making me"over budget" constantly. This most recent one is the worst, though, because it's not even logical for its basic function? I am traveling in Europe 5-6 hours ahead yet it logs food 24 hours ahead so I can't properly keep up.

App sucks. Consistently have issues with syncing and loading the app. "server error try again later" Always have issues logging sleep, try to do it manually and it won't allow it, was told I needed an update there wasn't one available, issues have only gotten worse. Frustrating and expensive for the subscription!!

The last update seemed to fix the distance discrepancies but GPS is no longer accurate. Off at least 0.2/walk compared to MapMyRun. Map is usually off as well. Like new widget a lot but notification buried in list instead of priority. Now when saving an activity, if you pause the activity then end it, it flashes the map, then the map just vanishes. It used to be fun when the app gave you high-fives and way to gos after workouts. Now it's blah. Shd be able to log non-Fitbit meditation & set it.

Since Google and the latest updates, everything is broken. The new period tracker is awful and inaccurate. Sleep is constantly logging while awake. Can't edit exercises, so I guess I did 3 hours of yoga and slept 12 hours. It has been a while, and nothing is fixed. Clearly, they don't care. After a decade, I'm moving to something else.

Didn't care for last updates, but recent updates even worse! I can no longer track jogging in place as part of my routine as I need to stick to indoor workouts due to decline in neighborhood. If I do a brisk walk in place it detects elliptical. I wish I could remove that option a together, but when I remove it on app it doesn't translate to my device. Horrible changes... does not work for me at all.

Since Google bought out Fitbit, I have had nothing but problems with my device staying synced. It will randomly connect and disconnect. I miss text messages and phone call because it won't stay connected. I won't even get started on the issues with trying to change devices. I'm not sure if they are trying to phase out the older models (Versa 2) and make you buy a newer one or if they just don't know what they're doing. Either way it's very irritating not having the functionality you paid for.

After years of working wonderfully, now suddenly it won't track my sleep properly. I was using it to determine how well my sleep meds were working, as it would show when I was restless and awake. Well now it doesn't show any of that data. It just shows the time I went to sleep and the time I wake up, and it's very inaccurate. It's now a glorified pedometer and that's about it... (and it barely updates my steps either).

update... it wouldn't sync again today no matter what. After numerous tries, i updated the app. Then i uninstalled and reinstalled app because update didn't help. Now i can't even log in inti my account. It says something went wrong, try again. Junk 0⭐ ! I'm on my third device. I'm sick of it not syncing. This on is charge4 with heart rate. I like that i can swim, paddle board and cycle in the rain without worrying about it getting wet and damaged. It still has same syncing issues as old ones.

Tried all the troubleshooting methods and still has a different counter from the actual fit bit. Will no longer sync to my phone, and I tried to reconnect the fit bit and it can't even find it. I tried reinstalling the app, but I still can't find it to even reconnect to it. I'm not sure if the update is wack, or it's just some weird glitch because all settings are on. Please fix this problem. Thanks.

I love the app. I hate the Google login errors that I get at least once a week. The error persists for hours regardless of clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling, or restarting my phone. It's miserable when it happens at a time that I want to GPS track a workout or see my burned calories.

Another update, another loss of functioning that is going to make me look for another platform. My Fitbit will no longer sync with the app and none of the steps, which used to work work now. On top of that, it's not even letting me enter data manually into the app. I updated thinking that would help and no such luck. The Google takeover was a mistake.

Yesterday while reviewing my year-to-date average sleep, I refreshed and my number dropped significantly. I've tried various things, but my numbers are still incorrect. I can't find any information on how I might be able to correct this. Google seems to usually make things easier, but they've taken over this Fitbit app and removed the fun (removed the group challenges) AND made it much less practical to use (screen display). After 12 years, Im looking into other fitness tracker options. :-(

Overall, the app is decent. However, my biggest complaint is that the "calories out" in the "food" area doesn't update half the time, and I end up having to uninstall and reinstall the app several times a week to fix the issue as clearing the apps cache no longer works on fixing the issue. For me, that's kind of a big issue as I use this app to track my calorie intake and output.

Since moving my account to Google, the app has completely failed. It doesn't synch periodically the way it used to, I don't get the readings I used to; it's a waste of time. I was worried it would crash when I moved it, and it has. I have uninstalled it, about to reinstall. If it's still junk, I'll quit my premium membership and find something else. Update: I've done everything advised. Still no sleep data, heart rate data, or other stats in categories I would receive previously.

I have the Versa 4. I haven't had it barely 2 yrs now. I've not had an issue until their last software update. I can't stay connected. I'll have to plug it in to sync like every 30 minutes. sometimes less. I've gone through all my settings in the app, and on the phone, nothing helps. I'm so frustrated I'm ready to give up and toss the thing in the damn trash and go back to my samsung. I have small wrists, that's why I preferred my fitbit. but this has been going on for over a month now. smfh!

The app has been intermittently clunky and unresponsive for the past week or so, and my Charge 6 became frozen and unresponsive 362 days after purchase as a result. It was not covered by the 1 year warranty because I bought it from a 3rd party seller on Amazon. I was a Fitbit customer since 2011, but will be purchasing a Garmin device instead. I'm sorry that this is what's become, but can't abide by a mfg who won't stand behind their product.

It's difficult to log foods and after the website was closed down, I had to start using the cronometer app for food logging. At first when I connected the apps allowing them to share data, my food was logged appropriately. Now, sometimes it logs and some days it shows nothing on the Fitbit app, or only a couple of meals. It constantly has difficulty syncing with the watch for days, multiple times. Now I haven't been able to log my glucose bc save & back buttons r in the header & don't do anythi!

I have had a few ongoing issues where my logged run shows on my watch and the home screen 1.8 miles and then when I click into the run it says that it was 1.9 miles. Also, ever since the crash the other day my calories burned are no longer are showing within the food section (always shows 0). I have restarted, installed updates, force closed, cleared cache everything I have been told and still nothing. Not worth a premium membership if you can't even keep the free parts working.

I have had to reinstall and repair several times in the last few weeks. Stops syncing and recording my sleep for days as well as steps. Lost my data for the last few days and didn't track all of my steps for the last half of the day. I have a premium account and it's not becoming worth it if the app is glitchy and isn't collecting the data. What is going on?
