BEWARE! Just had a conversation with the customer through the app and I kept asking the customer for their address or phone number and I thought they just weren't sending it. The messages were like "yeah here you go " I started to think it was a scammer until he sent me screenshots of the messages he sent on his side and it had his address and phone number. Could of cost me so much business if the customer was annoyed with me. For some reason app is removing addresses and phone numbers.

Terrible volume control. You have customers calling in- can't hear. Try calling back extremely low. Use their number on the same phone but from your personal line. No problem. It's not the phone, it's the conversations app. No 3 way either or holding. If you dial a number to check on a order it automatically clicks the customer over. No control of when to click the customer over. Poor.... Fix this asap !!!The original smart line was the best 👌

I am having such a hard time with using the app to make calls. I can't hear my voice mails. I'm not sure why this app is so terrible. SmartLine worked so well and this one sucks. I wish I would have just stuck with my previous provider. I have to login almost every day. Some days multiple times. I can't make calls very easily. My business structure is not an option to be verified so I'll never be able to send text. I miss SmartLine!

I've had a very poor experience with this app. I started using it as my business phone # so I wouldn't have to give my personal # to customers. Half the calls i make, it randomly hangs up. Customers have said they try to call me, they get a busy signal. The call screen often freezes while placing a call, and won't unfreeze unless I restart my phone. It's to the point where I'm going to have to redo all my marketing material that lists this business #, and just get a new line completely.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I was a smartline user for 5 years and couldn't have been happier. Then without notice they discontinued and went to this horrible conversations app. I wasn't able to keep my phone number they didn't refund me for the bill I just paid. Conversations app is terrible. No way to add phone numbers to contacts. Can't even copy numbers, no call forwarding, no way to block numbers and now my outgoing messages haven't been being delivered. It's the worst app.

This has been a nightmare since the transitionfeom SmartLine. First I wasn't allowed to text or make calls for over a week while the transfer finished. Now the app keeps restarting. Also when connected to Android Auto, I can't answer calls. The app allows me to answer, but won't connect to my radio. I'm currently trying to find a different platform.

Absolutely HORRIBLE! We are unable to receive or make phone calls since the switch! Every call I make to go daddy conversations is no less than 1 hour and all they can tell me is that everything appears fine on THEIR end?! They are submitting a ticket and it will take at least 72 hours for a response!! Terrible!! This app gets ZERO stars from me, but I can't leave this review unless I rate it!

Terrible! The switchover from SmartLine was very poor. My business had no texting for several days. I lost all my call and text history. Importing my 400 contacts was not smooth. Now outgoing calls don't ring and often don't connect at all. There's no way to block spam numbers. The new calling history often doesn't update, so I can't see which calls I've missed or made today. Calling someone back from the call history section of the app is not intuitive.

It has been a headache trying to get this thing to work. I used smartline for years. Then when I go to get the number verified it was rejected. I just submitted my second request after changing some information. I believe we've gotten almost all the really frustrating parts figured out. A couple feature requests that I miss from smartline. On the first tab, when typing a number to text, smartline used to pull up the call history, conversations doesn't.

As of today, the app no longer works on my phone. It just stopped working yesterday, I called customer support, and they couldn't help me to get it back working. I can't receive any of my business calls now and have to figure something else out because I do not know how long it will be for them to fix this broken app. I have always had issues with godaddy phone service since smartline app, but at least that app worked, this new app is abysmal, and they have the audacity to charge $20 a month.

So glitchy to the point of being unusable. I never had incoming or outgoing call issues with Smartline, but after transferring over to Conversations, it's been one issue after the next. I've been unable to answer numerous business calls, and I've had issues with my phone ringing WHILE I'm on a Conversations call. It also randomly logs me out without warning, so I'm constantly having to log back in. There's also a lag in connection, and I can't hear or connect to the majority of calls.

500 characters is not enough to properly review. It is absolutely horrible. Smartline wasn't great, but it was a lot better than this. I've spent literally hours upon hours on the phone with GoDaddy over app issues. The Conversations address book absolutely sucks. You can't just add a business contact. You can't add multiple phone numbers or emails. You can't even paste a phone number into conversations dialer to make a call! Is this 1990? Support said the app was released before ready....

Pretty much sucks.. Basically makes your smart phone a flip phone. Can't schedule replies, messages are stored off device apparently, notifications work 85% of the time (with permissions given), search functions (or lack of), and EVERYTHING about the contacts lis is terrible! Can't add more than 1 number, can't add ringtones, & it doesn't add to your phone contacts. So if I book a customer with this & invoice them through square, I have to re add all the info to my phone. Smart Line was better!

This app was helpful in the beginning but not so much for some time now. There's so much wrong with this app: Constant dropped calls, caller can't hear me, I can't hear them, mic doesn't work or works sometimes. It's super frustrating. We need this for dispatch and we have to answer every call. It makes our business seems amateur and unreliable. Please do something about this.

I have conversations ultimate, but no one at godaddy can figure out why my conversations app does not reflect my ultimate subscription. Instead, it limits me to the free ventures app and no matter what we do, install, reinstall, restart the phone, you name it. Nobody at godaddy nor I can figure out why I can't get what I am paying for. Sure, I can access features on the web. Doesn't help me. The conversations app does not recognize me as a paying customer and that is super frustrating.

I had Smartline before and it was sooo much better. This one freezes constantly and takes way too long for messages to get through. It is very unreliable on WiFi but I don't have caller ID if I use data. It has been an awful experience so far. Update -6/17/25 changed my password yesterday. Now can't use app at all. Customer service is trying to blame it on my browser even though it happened right after I changed my PW and I've been using the same browser the entire time

App handles calls poorly. You'll get the loading screen of death when attempting to check messages older messages & will often need to open & close the app several times before it updates with the most recent (or any missed) calls. Will occasionally ring with no option to pick up unless you manually ope. the app to locate it. A downgrade from the previous app.

update: everything got worse, more contact lists got deleted, and the customer service is the worse ever, more than hour and a half i lost, and still no contact list. this app's been a total nightmare, always freezing and losing things, making it so annoying to use. the Smart-Line app was awesome, though. dont start using GoDaddy app, It's a pain to leave the app, it doesn't save your contacts on your phone, so you can't transfer your contact list if you want to leave

I have been trying for several days in getting my issue. Resolved where the conversations app is not forwarding any calls to my phone and I am missing a lot of business. I have been on the phone on text for the last several days and it seems that nobody can help me get this resolved in a timely matter. My customers are not being able to reach me. I am unsure of what the next step. It's supposed to be where I have tried every option that they have given to me.I hope that somebody in management.

Have tried using this app off and on for a couple years. NEVER EVER have been able to get app icon notifications to work and email is just not fast enough if it works at all. Which results in customers messaging and I don't know about it for days sometimes, which is too late I have enough on my plate to be having to log into the app and refresh it several times a day. I finally just turned the feature off from my website completely. I prefer people just call so I can get the request immediately.
