you know, I really it. very easy to navigate and I love how the AI will create a whole routine and how much reps and how much weight you should use and if you can't you can edit the weight you can do. pretty cool actually.
Reviews for Gravl: Personal Trainer
← Back to Gravl: Personal Trainerit freezes on me all the time. don't get me wrong I love the workouts but if I exit out of the app while using it it freezes completely and doesn't let me back in even if I restart my phone. it's pretty lame to say the least 😢
Not a bad app, a lot of choices for alterations If need be. I've had hip replacements recently, so I've had to alter a lot of the workouts for the lower body. But there's plenty of choices
My favourite workout app by far, but the lack of sync with my galaxy watch holds the app back. I came from the iPhone version and there I was able to connect my watch. I really need this feature.
Only way to use it is to pay. Should be in the pay only section, not sure why this app in in the free section. Wish they would tell you that before you spend 10-15mins putting in all your information. Seeing them reply to other reviews that you get 3 free trial workouts, you don't. Not sure why they're lying about that, very sketchy overall.
free trial doesn't even let you use it for a week which is disappointing. pointless app unless you pay. the AI mode is terrible, but the PPL, and other typical training splits work very well. they could use a little tuning of some things, and some additional exercises. for instance, there are two separate exercises for barbell hip thrusts and dumbbell hip thrusts. somehow if you can do 200 lbs in barbell it thinks you can only do 50 with a dumbbell. overall decent though
wow. 3 workouts? Way to screw me over mid-week. Complete garbage. Just like every other app trying to cash grab with no substance. Could've partially put some other stuff behind a paywall. Nope sorry, just gonna brick our app until you pay. Welcome to the new dystopia everyone, where your life is subscription-based.
This app doesn't work anymore. Pretty much after i hit next after answering the question "why do you want to use a fitness app?" it just crashes. I tried clearing the cache nothing, I had to clear all the data I had on the app for it to work again but then I lost all my data.
I spent about a month testing a variety of free and paid weightlifting apps (Caliber, Shred, Gravl, Hevy, Jefit, Alpha Progression, and Dr. Muscle). Gravl. stood out among the rest due to their high quality design, customization, AI integration, and customer service. I've been using it for about a month now and I'm very happy with my decision to invest in using this app.
overpriced for what it is. so many apps exactly like this trying to squeeze money out of people, when it's super easy to find training plans online, heck even use free ChatGpt to make you a workout plan if you want to use AI. downloaded to see what it was all about, app ran smoothly and asked decent questions, but when it hit the "give us money" part, and I saw the pricing? yeah no thanks. I don't expect it for free, because apps take time to develop, but not worth for what's being offered.
I have a few pieces of equipment at home. In the first workout it told me to use a leg curl machine. Fine, I don't have one, but I found where in the app to edit the equipment I do have and made an update. Went back to do a workout...and it told me to do a leg curl machine. Nothing I could do would get it to regenerate the workout based on my current set up. That should be job one of using AI to power this activity--being able to change on the fly. Ugh.
Just so everyone is aware, after you go through the entire setup process, THEN they hit you with the sign up for the payment plan. Poor practice. Looked promising too. 59.99 billed annually 24.99 billed quarterly 10.99 billed monthly. Save you from giving them all your info. There does not seem to be a way to skip the subscpt. There is no skip button, the X in the corner does not do anything. Clicking a subscription just takes you to a payment setup screen, if exited youre back at sub screen
Disappointed there is no monthly billable option. It's very difficult to tell if an app like this is worth the cost, and also worth it for my situation without using it for at least a month. With your billing options I cannot do that, and therefore cannot commit $60 to TRY an app that later I may not use after the 1st month. I've read many great things about this app, but can't commit at this price point without at least a 30-day trial or a monthly option. Please consider.
I started out liking the app. Recently the app doesn't log workouts and doesn't track data well. The workouts also seem to not follow their settings approximately with shifts in excersise when set to a consistent format and staying rigid when set for variety. the app also is limited in functional training excersise. you can add your own movements but the metrics you can add are limited.
The only reason this is getting 3 stars is you only get 3 workouts with the free version. Pro's: Probably one of the best apps I've used, and following the AI routine made it incredibly easy - especially when you can set up a "home gym" and tell it what equipment you have available. Assuming if you had more workouts logged, the AI would program progressive overload. Cons: Only one I could tell is that it doesn't allow you to make your own exercise; i.e. a combo dumbbell bench press & chest fly.
Didn't even get to start using it. Starts up to a dark screen, and after 10 seconds a notification pops up at the top saying it's taking longer than usual to start, and to shake your device to refresh. I've refreshed, force stopped and restarted the app, restarted my phone, cleared my cache, the app just doesn't work. I was looking forward to using it from the ad I'd downloaded it from, looked perfect for me to get back into shape.
About 1 in 10 times when I try to open this app it gets stuck on the loading screen and I have to reinstall the app to fix it. When I reinstall the app it erases all my workout preferences. Please push through a hotfix for this issue and I'll increase my rating. Otherwise I've been using this app for months and it has helped me make a good amount of progress.
I've been using this for about 2 months now, and it works great. I love that I can modify the weights, reps, sets, and have it give me drop sets or supersets. it also has a great list of exercises that give instructions and videos of how to do the exercises. I do have a couple complaints, though. It will calculate your estimate 1RM, but I would like for it to give the option to work out at a percentage of your 1RM; so, if I only wanted to do 70% of my max, I'd like for it to let me.
I absolutely LOVE this app! I didn't know what I was doing in the gym and didn't have any friends to show me what to do, nor did I want to pay for a personal trainer and have to talk to someone and listen to them and all that (I'm very introverted) so having this app which shows you EXACTLY what to do for each workout is amazing. It's tailored to your specific gym goals and creates workouts for you and then tells you how much weight and how many sets to do to help you along the way. BUY THIS APP
The app itself is amazing the workouts are well balanced and being able to choose a different workout split is awesome, what's not so awesome is it only gives you 3 free workouts, I mean seriously cmon. I get it everyone gets paid but putting up a complete pay wall to even use the app is ridiculous. maybe put ads in the free version that you have to watch before a workout or something.
