This is a great app to build workouts and track progress to begin with. Not sure if it was from an update or whatever the case may be but all of my preset workouts and progress has been removed from the app, this is about the third time experiencing this. Please provide some way to back up progress via email or cloud.
Reviews for Gym Workout Planner & Tracker
← Back to Gym Workout Planner & TrackerI think its a great app for the most part. Few bugs that need worked out I will occasionally get kicked out of my workout making have to reinput everything back in to catch up. Its not as easy as I would like, to make your own custom work out or add exercises that aren't programmed in the app but otherwise its a great app that helps me stay on track with my goals.
I've reach out to these guys seeling a little more info regarding the workouts. No response also the personal trainer program rested without me doing it . So I had to restart. Also the rest period is not enough time if you are lifting heavy. Sometimes the timer will disappear and all u will hear is the bell . So 3stars for me. But at least it's not a monthly subscription you have the option to pay a one time fee. I hope 🙏
App is definitely... tracking things. It keeps track of weight, what exercises you do, how much, ect. Some excercises don't appear in the look up, and it seems to prefer doing full body days over setting up multiple different days for different areas of the body. I'm very annoyed I spent 60 dollars for an app that many others surpass for free. Will be requesting a refund.
This is one of the best apps I've found for workouts. It has so many exercises and tracking methods. I recommend them highly for that and I had an issue when switching from iPhone to android but their customer service is great. You have to enroll for premium and get the free trial but they responded via email before the first charge and got my issue fixed.
After trying out the iPhone version the Android feels incomplete cause there are options missing. Not sure why they made this one different from the Apple version. One thing I don't like and would like to see added is that when you skip days going to the gym, the app continues your workouts where you left off. Also to be able to see the rest of the week's WODs.
next to no improvement to the app over the last 2 years I've had it. I'd like to see you be able to edit workouts during a workout, without stopping the workout. Also getting tired of recreating my workouts everytime I get a new phone. There has to be a way to save it to the app. create an account and such. Overall I like the app I paid for lifetime membership, but definitely feel like I should have a flip phone everytime I use this app. UPDATE!!
Still using it no further issues I can't say it's perfect but it's good. Had a few months now pretty happy with it until today when it randomly wiped all of my workouts, while I was lifting. frustrating to say the least. Best app I've used. Needs the option to chain more workouts together, additional sets allowed per exercise, the ability to add excersises and Arnold press really needs to be in the database. But other than that its great, no glitches no issues workout timer is awesome.
Trial needs credit card, so I couldn't even use it to workout. However, playing around with the User Interface, it doesn't seem like such a bad tracker. The exercises tab shows you every muscle you can target, then tapping on them shows you exercises for those mucles. It seems to have a really good variation in workouts to suit both gym and/or calisthenics. Had I been able to trial the app properly, I think I might have used it a lot for training.
The Android version of this app is HORRIBLE. My wife has the iphone version and loves it. She showed me all the features it has - setting the amount of time you have for a workout, specify the equipment available, etc. I was sold, so I immediately bought the lifetime plan for Android. I was incredibly disappointed to find out nearly all those features are missing and the Android version crashes and loses progress constantly. I tried asking for a refund after a day but dev didn't respond.
New Phone- New everything. I had this app on my iPhone and when I got an android I went straight to purchasing the year subscription. But I slowly started to regret it because it's not as advanced or offer as much as the iPhone version. Quite disappointed about that. I hope they release the same version as iPhone or else I'm just gonna feel like I got ripped off and that's on me.
Not sure if it's because I switched from Apple to Samsung or if it's because I hadn't used the app in about 6 months but coming back it is nowhere near as good as the previous iteration. The workout plans no longer include 5 or 6 day plans, they're nowhere near as well thought out, and trying to edit them is no longer as convenient. It was the best app available 6 months to a year ago, now I'm not renewing when it expires.
I thought it would be like the one on apple. Yet, it ain't on the apple version you can do so much and even choose which version of workouts you can complete home or gym equipment. Add workouts and check the progress of your journey. It was a disappointing purchase I'm going to see if I can get my money back because on this version stinks like poo.
the iPhone/ Apple version is a million times better. I can't restore my account, and the exercises are COMPLETELY different. it's not very user-friendly either. You can't change exercises mid workout if something isn't working out. Way too many extra steps to make sure everything is set up correctly. made me end my work out early because of it. if the devs can make it the exact same as the one app for the iPhone, then it would be 5 stars, but this is pure torture.
I really wanted to like this app, but whoever developed it is an idiot. In what world can someone superset 2 timed workouts with no transition time between them? Does this developer have their own private gym, because most of the world doesn't and can't move from one piece of equipment or workout to another with no transition time to account for... and no 45 seconds of rest time to also transition and select weights is not enough. There is so much more, not enough space to write it.
I like how you can customize your workout instead of following someone else's plan. But there are many exercises not in the app. You can add your own images. But that is not convenient. Also, would be nice checking off the Ex and tracking nr of reps and weight increases. Sometimes someone is on the equipment at the gym. Need to skip the Ex and return later. No way to track was you already did
I first used the Apple version of this. It's great. Interface is different but concept is still the same. Great app that tracks your workout and gives you solid workouts as well. I used to piece my workouts together from various magazines but embracing tech (slowly) this offers solid work for solid gains. It was recommended to me and I recommend it to you all.
Had the iphone version and it was much much better. It was intuitive and actually had the ability to build me a split like upper/lower. The android version has none of that and would only give me one day of workouts instead of three different ones. I had to build it myself. Pretty disappointed especially for the price. Put as much effort into the android version as you did the apple version.
Do not get this app if you are on Android. Picked up this app because a buddy used it. Didn't realize the Android version would be different. Thought I'd stick with it, and it would eventually update. Almost 2 years later and I couldn't be more wrong. Any time the app is updated, your custom workouts get messed up. Either the exercise is removed or it changed to a different name. Why would you ever remove an exercise or change a dumbbell exercise to a barbell exercise?? Why not keep both??
love the app. I had it on iPhone before and thought it was perfect, I wish it was the same for Android as I noticed that I can't change exercises in my workout after I've pressed "start workout". on iPhone you could swap an exercise even after you've started your workout. Would love it if they could do the same for the android system
