The app is pretty bad from an ergonomic standpoint. The text is too small and has no contrast (white font on a pastel color background) making it very hard to read. The messaging feature is useful, but includes too many spaces. The app doesn't contain obvious features, like being about to snap a picture of your insurance card for upload. I can't enter my medications directly -- have to send them in a message and then the receiver has to put them in that area. The one thing that did work well was the video feature -- very clear and easy to use.

This app is seriously lacking in security! Once the app is installed and login credentials are entered initially, the user is never completely logged out! The user is only required to enter their 4 digit pin to access everything in the app & all the information available to it. There is even a "logout" selection at the bottom of the settings menu but it does not completely log the user out eithee. Also there are several cosmetic / functional issues with the app that make it difficult to use.

App is all right, very basic, but what a waste of time it can be! Does not indicate what kind of appointment you have. I had labs and the app was not specific on the nature of the appt, never received a reminder, did not even indicate if it was a televisit, and I ended up missing my labs. Very inconvenient!!! Needs a better detail and labeling system.

Update: I've been unable to login. Keeps going back to the login and wanting my finger print again. I uninstalled and will reinstall but if that doesnt fix it, I'm done with it. When this app was first offered it worked great. Was able to link accounts and find info for my aging parents instantly. Now the linked accounts are missing and when I try to add them back nothing happens. Too bad! It was so helpful at first.

This is easily the most pos app I have ever used for medical events. It is overly intrusive with "security" questions, passwords, pins, and biometrics, all of which had to be setup, including phone numbers. It is simpler to just call your doctor and be on hold for who knows how long rather than deal with this garbage. I encourage all medical professionals to find a different solution.

Haven't had a problem till now. Said my password was wrong (it wasn't). When I tried to reset, it kept saying failed to save password. Now I have 1 more attempt and will be locked out. This is not the most user friendly app anyway but at least I was able to use it. Till today!!!! Uninstalling, will not use an app that want to control how I set up my phone. Would give -10 stars if i could. Also agree with other reviewers, you dont even care enough to address the problems.

Had to install this app to interact with my physician during "these times." My biggest issue with the app is that every time you minimize the app, it closes requiring you to sign in again. As a result, you lose all you've written if you're writing a message to the practice when minimizing. (So you can't open another app to get information to provide your physician.)

This used to work great, now it doesn't! When I upgraded my Android phone and reinstalled the app, there are buttons missing on the VERIFY YOUR PRACTICE page, so you can't go any further! When I tried the same on my tablet (also Samsung) the buttons were there and it logged me in, but when I got to my medications page, there is no longer an option to request refills. And my practice specifically requests that we not use the messaging feature to request refills, so I'm having to call them in. : (

This may vary from practice to practice, but at least in my case, the healow app will not allow you to do nearly anything useful. You cannot make or reschedule appointments. You can't cancel an appointment unless your doctor sends you a confirmation message first. You can't really edit the list of medications you're currently taking, just hide some of them. Messages link to a website opening a browser, so what's point of having a separate app? MyChart is a much better web portal/app.

Keeps logging me out every 5 minutes, so I had to keep logging in to send a message. It doesn't have all my providers listed so I can't directly send messages. Can't orders refills. This app needs some major fixes! 7/4 update-&-STILL has major issues. Now I can't log in at all! As soon as I use my user name and input my password, or even use fingerprint to log in, the app. will attempt to log in but throws me right back out. Tried everything restarted phone that didn't help. Nothing helps!

Literally cannot log in. Can't reset my password. Every time I try sending a text, it gives me a vague error that it can't do it right now. Same thing happens on the website. Then when I try to reset the password through email, I get to the site all the way up until I can enter my new password and then the submit button just doesn't work. No error or anything. Just a waste of time. I've spent 20 minutes trying to get into my account. What a horrible user experience.

I simply cannot register to see my results. Incredibly frustrating. Edit: I've found a workaround. If you paste a password, the input will not realise anything has been input, making the submit button do nothing. To fix, just add a character and delete it in the input. You'll see the password strength rating appear and the submit button will activate.

Very difficult to navigate the app! I already have set up an account, but when I go to the app it instructs me how to start an account, but gives me no option to just sign in. It allowed me to put in my provider's name then went to another page to type in the location. I typed in the location, but there was no way to continue the process. I tried several times to no progress each time! I still do not have my lab results! Highly frustrated!

This app would be great if it actually worked. Everytime I use it I have to constantly reopen and sign in over and over because it freezes or just closes while I am in the middle of something. Two things I love about this app is that you can set up appointments and request refills on scripts, but to request a refill you need to type the full name of your medication and all the other information, instead of there just being a button under the script that says "request a refill". Not user friendly

Every time you minimize it, it closes. Just be aware. This is supposed to replace logging into my doctor's patient portal, but there are some important things missing. I can't send a message to my doctor, for example. For a long time, I relied on it for information about my appointments. After I missed a few, I realized that confirming my appointments removed them from the app. I've stopped confirming them and rely much more heavily on my calendar.

Several things need to be worked on. Appointments cannot be added to my calendar. I have Google, Samsung and Outlook. It will not propagate to any of them. There are no notifications. Not of an appointment. Not of a new prescription. Not of a message. Nothing. It seems to lack all of the advantages of having an app. Literally everything this app can do, can be done by email. Except I get a notification when I receive an email. So email is actually better.

Every time I select my provider to send the message, the app jumps to acting like I'm trying to login to the app from scratch, booting me back to the first screen I see when I first launch the app. It's an endless loop, and renders the app totally useless. I went back and forth with tech support for more than a week, and after I lost a little steam and wasn't engaged for a couple days, they closed the ticket and stopped responding. None of their suggestions helped. (Pixel 6a)

Simple interface and easy to use. Its just what the Doctor ordered. The above, that was in 2017, things changed, app forced me to update, then wouldn't run, it didn't care for my version of Android. Also, wasn't able to install it on my Amazon tablet, only kid version of Healow app avail. I was finally able to install Healow on an pay as you go tracphone. This app was fine, as noted above, since 2017, now it's loaded w perrmissions, and who knows what else is built into the software.

This last update removed every single message my doctor has sent this year. Test results for this year are also gone. I have no idea where the specialist referrals went, they have no notification. I despise that I can't move away from the app for one second without having to log back in. Oh and my favorite part is where it tells me I have a balance, and when I hit pay, it takes me to a page that says no clinic listed. No option to fine one at all, just those words on a blank page.

I would rate this app lower if possible but it is not. Recent changes have made this app almost unusable. It has become difficult to navigate from one tab to another, messages have been deleted, results either missing or incomplete and it is no longer possible to direct a message to a specific provider just send to 'GENERAL'. The app combined with recent changes in the practice back office has made communication difficult and frustrating.
