Yup not worth it. It only has 2 story genres, scary or romantic. i thought there would at least be a variety. I read the reviews before downloading but wanted to see for myself. it only played about 30 seconds of a video then gave the option to wait 15 minutes to continue watching, try it free for 1 week then pay 4.99/week or their regular subscription options. I was curious when I saw a Youtube ad of it but its not worth the time or money.

Stupid app. Downloaded it from an ad. Never mentioned having in-app purchases, which I think you need to get access to more stories. it makes you wait after a few advancements in order to get you to either subscribe - yes, pay a MONTHLY FEE - or wait patiently while you fester, "oooh, i wonder what happens???" Same thing with pics. They're all blurred unless you subscribe. I wish I could have just payed a one-time price to buy the app at first, but i bet the stories arent even good. Boooo.

It took me most of the afternoon to hear the first story in its entirety. The breaks occurred in awkward places and the only way to skip them is to agree to either pay right away or get one free week and $4.99 per week thereafter. Knowing that it's usually extremely difficult to get out of these arrangements and having no clue how extensive the library of content is, I won't go there. It's a shame, as I like supporting other writers, but the 15 minute pause is too long.

There are way better apps available for reading short stories that DON'T require any kind of subscription. Idk anyone stupid enough to pay $4.99/week or $39.99/yr just to read random stuff. Not to mention theres no form of library to choose what you want to read. I downloaded and it immediately started on something I didnt know about or get to choose if I wanted to be reading. SOO BAD!!! I would give it zero stars if I could.

As many others have said in reviews, I also had the same experience. I downloaded it only a couple months ago and everything was fine. It use to have some stories that you had to pay for to read, but there was plenty that were free to enjoy. NOW you have to PAY for EVERYTHING. You can't even get into the app before it says to have you pay. I just uninstalled it immediately. NOT WORTH IT. To the app company, PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK. NO ONE LIKES THIS.

I remember back when this app used to be free. Now they want 20$ a month to use it. That's just outrageous. I'd give it 0 stars if I could. Just gonna uninstall the app and never reinstall it again as long as they want 20$ a month to read stories. I can go get kindle unlimited for like 10 a month and have access to way more stores and content. Plus when I closed out the premium screen just a blank screen with the logo on it nothing else.

Foolish me got sucked in by a Facebook ad. Showed a product that the makers could not deliver on. 15$ a month to read subpar stories and see images. There is an option to wait 15 minutes to read on but at that point you could have lost interest, plus after the 15 minutes you still cannot see the pictures! Do yourself a favor and use that 15$ and buy a book of short stories. You would have a better selection of content, since the application only offers you the choice of scary or romantic.

You have to pay after a week to keep this app running, plus you have to restart the story's if you so much as leave the app. Edit: I uninstalled it that day and reinstalled it to see if it improved. NOPE! Now you can't even get into the app without paying. Top 8 free? How is it free when you can't get into the app without paying.

Been seeing ads for this pop up on YouTube a lot. Often tend to have fairly gripping beginnings, so I decided to give it a try. Don't make the same mistake. This app is a waste; you don't even get to pick which story to read, and it makes you wait 15 frickin minutes after a certain point. Any images in the chat are blocked unless you pay a RECURRING SUBSCRIPTION. Like...no. I just wanted to finish the stories in the ads. It's a waste of your time, and, potentially, your money. ~Sobi

Make the app cost money. This app is pay-to-read disguised as a free. I installed to read one story to see how the app as a whole is, and I couldn't even get to it. Plus, even if there wasn't a story you couldn't leave when you first open the app, the time limit for free users is too short to even "find out the rest" as your YouTube ads always say. Make the app a one time payment from the Google Play Store, then maybe I can enjoy this.

Try to remember what you may have seen in the ad. Interesting storied, always ending on cliffhangers. Open the app, and you get two options: Scary and Romance. Choose your preference, you sure as hell don't get to pick the story. Immediately after you decide on a genre, a 30-second video starts to play. It isn't even the same format as the ad. It doesn't give itself enough time to get you "hooked," and immediately expects you to pay for another segment of the story, or wait fifteen minutes.

I hate this, it seems better on the ads than on the actual app. Right as i was in the horror story, it wanted me to get hooked unlimited just so i could look at an image. Then, right as i was almost through the middle of the story, it wanted me to wait a whole half an hour. and it wants me to get the subscription if i wanna continue. this thing is dumb. If there was negative stars, i'd click on that. 1 star, very bad.

I really used to love this app. I read so many stories awhile back that were epic and the way the app looked was really unique. Imagine my surprise when after not having used it for a bit and downloading it onto a new phone that not only has it changed, oh no, you have to pay to even use it. It used to be you read till you ran out of "hoots" and you had to wait for them to refill or you bought them. Not a bad price too. But now .... this app is just a sad shell of what it used to be.

I really enjoy the stories and I'm not even bothered by the brief 5 minute wait time every so often. The only thing that's getting on my nerves is the glitching. I was through 8 chapters of a 10 chapter story and now it won't let me open it. I keep getting this "an unexpected error occurred. Try again later" message and it's really annoying. It happens on certain stories and it's really irritating.

I just got the app. As soon as I opened it, I was asked wether I wanted scary or romance. I chose and it went to a video (pretty sure it was an ad). Not even 20 minutes into said video it says I have fifteen minutes before I could use the app. waiting to see if the wait is worth it. edit: finally finished the video, it was part of the app. However, when it ilended there was no way to exit from it, and no options for a story like i've been shown in ads. long story short; I'm disappointed.

I uninstalled about 5 minutes after using it because 1. it has no flow, you have to hit the next button for every message, 2. you can't see the pictures without paying, 3. can't get through one story without a 20 min waiting period. This is a cash app, plain and simple. I can't even say if the stories are good, as I never got top them get into one

The story is interesting. However, you're suppose to be able to earn more points by reading but you can't because you're unable to select that option. It's covered at the bottom of the page by either a banner ad or a banner stating the chapter your reading which is unnecessar. This is the worst app set up I've dealt with, after I finish this story I'm deleting this App. Sooner if I can find this story on another App.

This game is not free. In the ad, it does not say it is payment or anything. So i have a valid reason or point to rate a 1 star. I really dont like the amount of features like access to video, photos, etc when I can easily search up videos but id thought this was good. I take the word "good" out of that due to how you need to get premium in order to access it. There should always be a cancel button.

Your interface is terrible. No way to access user settings. No subscription offered. No way to access purchase options from the main screen & embedded within the story paging. Altogether, poorly designed and predatory. No book is worth this. I'll go to my local Barnes & Noble or shop on my other apps instead.

I wish this app was user-friendly. There's absolutely no way to access chapters. When you close out the app, it doesn't save the chapters you have already read. It takes you back to the beginning and deduct coins for chapters you have already read. I had to tap all over the screen to figure out how to go back and forth. A simple swipe should make do. This app is a puzzle that you end up throwing away because pieces are missing.
