No one helps. There are no actual support systems in place for drivers. If I could give no stars I would. This job pays well IF you have a good series, otherwise this job is a joke! I dont recommend this as a job. During my app being paused I would get a call at 6am every morning asking me if Im on my way to pick up the child.

← Back to HopSkipDrive CareDriverThis app doesn't work. You get hung up on registration in so many places and you either just have to wait for them to figure it out on their end or you don't get to do it. I was told to just load the app on another device and try there. Well it doesn't work there either and I'm out of devices.
Sometimes the outworks flawless. Other Times it won't let you check in after completing one ride and go to chicken for the 2nd ride it won't let you check in And it will cancel your ride because you weren't able to check in. Then when you go to call the rider All it does is beep Like it automatically goes to an answering service.
App works good most of the time. occasionally I have an issue, but it's few & far between. the one problem that effects my driving success card is that the app uses Google maps mph listed & not the actual speed limit. Google maps has incorrect mph a lot!! Especially in my area & I can't drive anywhere for HopSkipDrive without it affecting my speeding score. I've contacted HSD regarding this issue several times.
This app had not worked completely for me as a driver in the last 5 days. It won't let me check in and I've lost claimed rides. And when it does check me in, there is always a portion of the ride that won't come up on my screen. Details of pick ups, check in when I've picked up rider or have completed ride. I have to call into service and rep had to manually update my ride status
I like this app. I only wish that the available rides would sort by time. When I look at the list, they don't seem to be in "order". Also it would help if I could put in a "destination" and find rides that are on the way. For example between my work and home, or an appointment etc...
Excellent service. They are doing really well improving the app. The demand in my area pays roughly $100 or more a day. I can usually book 2-6 rides a day which range from $30-$60 each. It's a great gig to compliment other work and perfect for parttimers looking for something to do. Be aware clients may need special accomodations. Check out their site if you think you would love to transport kids :) Ref Victor468
At first, I took this job for extra cash flow but helping out a lot of kids made me feel good and the app it's easy to use.
Needs "I have arrived" button embedded in Google map maybe to pop up when driver is within acceptable range of the pickup location. Seems unsafe to have to switch back and forth between apps. Also, the ride information should stay when checking in riders. Possibly the app could prompt organizers to notate apartment unit and/or building numbers so drivers don't have to call just to say I'm here where are you? It makes drivers seem incompetent.
You need to make it so a driver can check in for rudes that are close in proximity. I can't accept some rides because you can't be checked into two rides at once even if they're blocks & almost an hour apart. App moves so slow. Driver has to sit & wait for it to "process" before moving on to next drop off. Drivers get scolded for touching their phones while moving, but the app "processing" will make the driver late on the drop off waiting for it to process. Alllow more time for pick ups.
Ap is okay. Needs some improvement. Wait times for support is extremely too long. Same for text. I think there needs to be an option in the ap when we can claim who we're picking up and who didn't het picked up. Currently we have to call and let someone know but you can't exit out of ap or move on to next ride until then. Also if it's an apartment complex, gate codes , building numbers and maybe even directions (if it's a large complex) would be great.
I love the platform but I hate that when I click on a pop up notification, it only opens the app and I have no idea what the actual notification is because it's nowhere to be seen inside the app
app never loads... takes forever just to click on anything!! so annoying!
The app provides inaccurate info regarding rides when driven. The agency is slow to respond to any assistance or support. The app will not allow you to update. I however, love assisting the youth.
Compensation by miles is much greater than typical rideshare companies. I would give five stars if a series was ever available. That would allow me to have a schedule of rides and not have to wait for an opportunity because the time is about 6-9 a.m. and then a few hours in the evening picking children up from school. I'm only available most days in the morning, so there's not a lot of trips available. Long distance is often required, but time is compensated. Tolls are reimbursed, but not EZ.
I wasted hours of time trying to set up a new account. The app times out and fails to upload your documents. Horrible!!
they force you to agree to crazy left propaganda. when you try to get the million things they promise to reimburse you but never do. they system fails and doesn't work properly. as a registered CNA I have all my medical training they forced me to do it all over again and refused what I already had. so I do it again then they refused official documents because they want you to go to their classes. after doing that it was outdated information and was full of promo videos and test footage.
I really enjoy the app and the rides. My only issue is sometimes the notes tell you to do something specific for the rider but then they will change the instructions after you arrive. So I do want the people to update their notes if they can. But overall it is a good app and it is very easy to use and navigate
App is fairly straightforward and allows for smooth transitions. However, when arriving it continues to freeze at the point of confirming rider has been picked up and so I've had to call in for every ride to move past this point. Luckily you can still click on and navigate to the drop off location. But I shouldn't need to call everytime I pick up a rider to confirm them.
The app is very buggy and crashes and won't open, especially during rides—when it is most needed—and that has made me late in logging some pickups (something they say they cant manually fix). Additionally, it often takes a long time for support to answer and is hard to get ahold of them when you need them. Otherwise, the company seems decent and pay is decent though I'm not sure it's worth the frustration of the time wasted fiddling with the app.
