I accepted the free trial, it was supposed to give me premium access, but it didn't so I'm canceling because if you can lie about that, you can lie about anything. Tip for everyone giving the app a "try", cancel subscription immediately, if you want it after it's over you can choose to pay for it at that time, don't get caught off guard because you have adhd. Be like me and cancel immediately.

The games are fun. There are cool little tests that give detailed insight on how your brain works, and although it doesn't feel like learning, you see the learning in retrospect. There are no ads, which is an amazing relief. The different categories of games let's you choose what you want to focus on, and the daily personalized sets allow you to see where you may want to focus.

It would be fun if the ads weren't longer than the actual gameplay. You do one 10-second long level, and boom, another 30-second add that opens a new window. Another 10-second level, another 30-second ad. It's a huge waste of time, and the stupid ads are definitely killing more brain cells than any benefit that the games could give to your brain. And the games will say they're relaxing or something but the ads that play between them are revolting.

Fairly deceptive in their pricing schemes. Can't get the results of a test that takes at least 10 minutes to take. luckily I didn't take one of the more comprehensive tests. "Won" a 92% off discount. How it's phrased is that you could subscribe and then cancel anytime. You can only subscribe for a year at a time though is the trick. And then can only cancel /further/ subscriptions. Could have been a good app but sadly just seems like a really dishonest company. Also a lot of ads too.

The ads are insane. Two minute ad for a two minute puzzle. I don't mind ads for free play, but you barely spend time off ads. And then they try to play mind games with constant 95% off coupons. The price is all fake to make the "sales" seem like an amazing deal, which I'm pretty sure there are laws against in some countries. If they weren't so manipulative, maybe I'd like this app. But for now, the devs need to stop being so scammy.

This app is increasingly challenging! I enjoy doing these self-assessment and brain workout games/apps and this one is close to the top of the list! Would probably be better if I would actually pay for the service, but it still offers an array of games available for free (minus watching ads of course!) keep up the good work Impulse!

This was literally the worst app experience I've ever had. I don't normally get suckered in to Instagram app ads, but I did click on this intriguing one. I decided to take a little quiz that they were offering, but then of course to get the results, you had to pay a small fee. I thought I was careful that I was ONLY paying for this one service. 7 days later, the $40 subscription fee came. Never saw an email, never knew I even had an account bc it went to SPAM. No refund. Such a scam.

This app is mentally stimulating and quite diverse. originally gave 5 stars. I paid 40$ for this app & was enjoying it,until they blocked each activity with timed ads. it's a paid app. with more ads than my free mental challenge games. 1 star! BAIT & SWITCH I would definitely not recommend this. there's no refund because they didn't do it until right after the trial period was up.

With no option to simply get rid of ads, this app is unusable. I had a minute long ad BEFORE playing the first game of the day. Sad. What's worse is that this company won't change. They'll offer some sort of patterned apology they offer everyone, but ultimately won't change. I wish I didn't spend any of my credits on this app. Edit: See what I mean? Our feedback is NOT valuable. At least not as much as ad revenue.

Interesting and fun but not worth $40 USD every month. that's right, they try to bill me $40 every month and I finally removed the app when they put up another paywall for $19 after I had already paid both the $19 trial and the $40 monthly and had been using the app for 3 weeks. Like virtually all phone apps, very difficult to cancel. Update: would love to see the terms that I allegedly explicitly agreed to, for a $500 a year service that you advertise as a $40 a year premium account.

Improves more than I expected! The personality and IQ tests were eye opening. The challenges, though simple as they appear, truly challenge the elements of my brain that were in need of a good workout. The percentage grading system could use an update, as missing one answer downgrades me to the zero percentile. 🤔🤔 Beyond this, the game is awesome for mental acuity... I'm hooked, and you will be also.

Non stop ads. So many ads that it's nearly unplayable. Ads in the middle of puzzles, ads after every single puzzle, ads before puzzles, ads going into the settings. And if you want to get rid of the ads, pay them $7 a month or cough up $40 for a phone app with lets face it, minimal actual effort put in. It's just a clone of all the other brain exercise apps out there. A clear and vicious money grab on something that could be really helpful to people who need to exercise their minds. Uninstalled.

I'm not sure how much it's actually "training" my brain, but it's entertaining and so far they've allowed me access to a lot more content than other "brain training" apps I've tried. I can't afford to spend money on silly phone apps rn, but so far these guys have the best free tier of all the ones I've tried. There are a lot of ads tho. I guess they gotta make money somehow, right? And if ads mean I can use their stuff without paying then that seems fair to me 🤷‍♀️

It says you have to pay a monthly price to unlock more content, but it should say to unlock 90 percent. Any test you take, you have to pay to see the results. Also it's pretty congested with ad content. The price seemed a bit steep for what it is. Paying monthly, seems to me to be unusual, when you could just pay 1 month and finish every test in a days time. Some of the tests were fun but not worth paying over a couple dollars. So I give it 2 stars instead of 1, just for the meager entertainment

A pretty lazy attempt at "brain training". Some of the games are fun but they are hardly challenging. There are lots of tests for various things like anxiety, stress, personality type, etc. they don't amount to a hill of beans and are fairly inaccurate. with the weekly price tag, this app is the furthest thing from a scientific brain training anything and is more like an expensive way to pass time waiting at a doctor's office. really disappointing.

this is my second day playing it. you have the option of doing the training for only your suggested time or you can also do extra games and puzzles too! and the different games and puzzles are super fun and get more difficult as you go. they also have a pretty good variety... I also like the tests that they have that tell you more about yourself. although, I've only done one of those so far. I started with the free trial but even on the first day while playing it, I decided was worth purchasing

For the first few weeks I was excited to see what this app had to offer (I got a year subscription). However after over a month of daily playing I've realized it's pretty meh. I'm hitting levels in the daily brain training that make it almost impossible to improve due to the difficulty and time limit and there are ZERO analytics on any improvements or areas of strength/weakness/etc. Less of a brain trainer and more of a time waster at a certain point.

This is one of the most preditory apps I've seen in a very long time. You get a 3 day trial if you select the 6.99/WEEK sub price. You can pay 39.99 for "lifetime". To avoid paying $28 a month unexpectedly, you must cancel 24hrs+. Making it a 2 day trial that you play 5-15 min a day. And I'll emphasize it's marketed at ADHDers who won't remember any of this until getting charged. It's full of great tests and games that actually are known to work, but at $7 a week and no other options?! Crazy

It's a good app and I enjoy the training! However it's kinda annoying that after paying 50$ for the app that I'm still seeing ads AND if I want the ads gone that's additional. I already spent the money, but this is a warning for others! The app does offer very good brain training games, I haven't been using it long, but hopefully there will be improvement!

I played 1 game and was offered a "discount" to make the app ad free right away for about $30/year. I chose not to take it and then I played a few levels in 3 different games. The 3rd game was a sorting game. Impulse wanted to keep me playing this game. It set challenges of "beating my peers" but once I hit the challenge it added another with the same game. There were ads after every 2 games and I got tired of it. I didn't get a chance to see if I liked impulse because the ads are so frequent.
