So here's my honest take on iShala - practice Indian music. I've tested a bunch of music practice apps and this one's up there. The customization options are great, and I like how you can create your own sessions. The sound quality is pretty good too. But I do find the UI a bit clunky at times, and the free version can feel limiting. Overall though, it's a solid option if you want to practice Indian classical music on your phone.

Description

Been using iShala – practice Indian music for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you practice classical Indian music, with stuff like tanpuras, tablas, and other instruments. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you do: you can customize your practice sessions with different instruments, rhythmic cycles, and melodies. There’s also a swarmandal and a harmonium – took me a while to figure that out but it’s useful. And you can even jam along with the virtual musicians, which is pretty cool.

Look, if you’re into Indian classical music, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the ads can be annoying if you don’t pay for the Pro version – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.
