So here's my honest take on Jammable. I've tested a bunch of music apps and this one's actually pretty solid. The core DJ and editing features work really well, and I like how it's got a nice balance of depth and accessibility. It's not as full-featured as something like Ableton, but for a mobile app it's impressive what you can do. The only real downside is the ads in the free version can get annoying after a while. But if you don't mind paying a few bucks, it's a great way to mess around with music on the go.

Pros

  • Tons of music samples and loops to play with
  • Surprisingly powerful editing tools for a mobile app
  • Intuitive interface makes it easy to layer and mix tracks
  • Free to download, don't have to spend money to enjoy it

Cons

  • Ads can get pretty intrusive in the free version
  • Takes some time to learn all the different features
  • Might feel a bit limited compared to full-fledged music production software

Description

I’ve been using Jammable for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you play around with music – you can create mashups, edit songs, and even try your hand at DJing. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of stuff.

Here’s what you do: there’s a bunch of built-in samples and loops you can mix together. It’s got a pretty intuitive interface for layering tracks and adjusting levels. And the editing tools are cool too – you can chop up songs, add effects, that sort of thing. Took me a while to figure out all the features but it’s fun to mess around with.

Look, if you’re into music production or just like playing DJ, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the free version has some annoying ads – but overall it does a pretty good job of bringing those kinds of tools to your phone. Worth checking out for sure.

I learned about this app from tiktok and so far it has worked great. It did crash twice but I'm not really bothered as it doesn't seem to crash anymore.

It's really, REALLY convenient but there's just one big problem. Every time I try to record the sound I've mixed, it fails to do so
