Playlist management is buggy and not working. None of playlist function works in Jremote3. only clear playlist works. Very disappointing update after purchasing previous two releases.
Reviews for JRemote3
← Back to JRemote3Another $$$ grab from JRiver. The company hasn't fixed ALL the issues with JRemote2. All the same issues from JRemote2 are still present in this new version, plus new issues. This app barely works, constantly freezes & crashes. They direct you to go to their forums to leave a message or complaint, but if they don't like your post, they delete and pretend it never happened. WHAT A JOKE OF A COMPANY!!!
Coolest thing since sliced bread. It's the remote control I always wanted for my main music system. Thank you!
It would have received a higher rating BUT the "Adding Tracks to the Playlist" doesn't work.
useless app always failed to connect
Connects, but no control
No significant change over version 2, not worth the investment, unfortunate that it's the only one available. If you lose version 2., you have to buy version 3 as version 2 is no longer available. Same thing they did with the original version, which by the way, still had more function than either version 2 or 3. They never really fix anything with this remote app. It brings JRiver value down overall, as one of the major reasons many of us use it is because of the remote capability.
I am sitting in my office at work streaming a 1000+ song playlist from a library created, stored, and maintained at my home. My phone is connected via Bluetooth to a Tivoli music system, which sounds great. With this app, I can "take" my music anywhere I go (including here at work) that has a decent connection. I'm not sure how it gets any better than this.
Updated review. Well these guys worked quickly! The long playlist support has resolved all previous issues I may have had with this new version of the app. I am, and remain, impressed by the ease of use and the functionality of this app. I've been a Jriver fan for many years and this app allows me to take me entire media collection with me everywhere I go. Audio quality is outstanding, and the support for lossless audio formats is unrivalled. If you've never tried Jriver, now you should.
