This app is pretty useless for my needs. Even with the free 1-year membership, I still just use the manual workout because: - I have the app installed on a tablet which doesn't support streaming subscriptions like Hulu and Amazon Prime Video. - I haven't been able to get any "Explore the World" scene to work. - Bowflex Radio's curated music only allows you to skip one song per hour.

Tons of bugs. Max says '10 seconds to next interval' when there are minutes left, the radio tracks change in the middle of a song, data is not recorded properly in the graph whole listening to the radio, it gets stuck after doing a video exercise and thinks every exercise you do afterwards is that same video exercise until the app is rebooted. And this is all on the supplied/tested tablet with the Max Total! I won't be paying for this app once the free trial ends unless it gets much better...

I used this app with my iPhone for quite some time and had very few issues. I did notice that the difference between just right and hard was exponential, but that is something I could work with. I just got myself a pixel however and the Android app is pretty much unusable. For some reason the intensity is multiple times what it was on the iphone. Also, I have no way of pausing a workout I have to close the app entirely. I'm guessing I will probably move on to something else.

You have to fiddle with setting up the Bluetooth every time. The calorie counter on the app and bike almost double actual calories burned. The bike IC4 tracks more miles than peddled. The sound of the trainers is so low you can barely hear them. It'd be useful to have subtitles & the ability to make them louder with personal music. I tried to adjust their volume & still couldn't hear them. When I turned my music down the trainer became quieter. Used the music provided & had same prob.

The app works great, but very limited programs so does it does get kind of boring. Can see different places with the virtual places, which is nice. But it is the same few workouts within each program time frame. Would be nice to have more, varied workout programs within 'time'. I try to squeak in 15 minutes or 18 minutes and 'just right'gives me 3 workout options for my Max Trainer... manual, stairs, and usually 1 or 2 others... gets a bit mundane

This stupid thing goes through all of the motions of working, right up to connecting to the treadmill via Bluetooth, and then it disconnects and goes" YOINK. Give us your money!". It would be nice if they told you upfront that you need a subscription to even sync with your exercise machine. They mention the subscription requirement for other things, like the individualized workouts, but I found this behavior too much like bait-and-switch.

Blah. This app is useless. Using the onboard app is just as good as this one. It tells me that I have an interval on 10 secs when its actually 60 secs. Tells me " this is longer than you've ever gone" when it's not. Says most cals burned when I burned more the day before...doesnt keep correct data. Needs work. After my 2 month free trial I wont re-up.

What happened with the latest update?? Can't set your time to more than 30mins and if you choose "Manual" it doesn't calculate your calories burned. The workouts now have warm-ups and you can't disable them!! It seems like they're forcing you to subscribe to get all the functionality of the max trainer. Not fair to the loyal customers that have been using it for years. The app was fine before yesterday's UPDATE!!

The app is pretty good, but when you buy the Max Trainer Elliptical it should come with a free period. After a few days you want to stop because besides counting calories and keeping track of your heart rate it doesn't do anything that was advertised unless you pay for a subscription. As a gamer, videogame companies are trying to force us to pay monthly subscriptions. Now my gym equipment wants me to do this. No thank you.

Just tried the App today, I like the app, but was frustrated with the setup. I have the subscription but I WAS Not sent any instruction for set up, the customer rep told me that he would set up my log in with my email address, I took this to mean I would at least have a preliminary account set up, only to find out later from customer service chat on a Saturday night that you have to create a profile first with a log in name, and that's when you set up your password. I highly recommend this information be sent with the initial email to all customers who purchase a subscription, it will keep the frustration level down to a minimum. I look forward to achieving new goals on my MAX M7U.

The bad: The Bluetooth is dodgy. My phone (Pixel pro 7) is often unable to see the treadmill. The phone is fine with all other devices. Normally I'd just brush this off as tech gremlins, but this app and the machine were too premium not to mention it. -1* The good: I actually really like it in general and all other features have been fine. The virtual coaching and progress journal are helpful for motivation and I love the scenic runs. The adaptive workouts are really improving my fitness FAST.

App worked great for the first few days on my phone, but now will not connect via Bluetooth even if I am standing right next to the machine. After searching for a few moments it says it can't find the machine and that I need to move closer. I know it's not a Bluetooth issue because I can connect directly to the machine via Bluetooth on my phone, but can't connect through the app. I uninstalled the app and re-downloaded it and the same thing happens after a few days.

I downloaded the app because I paid out $2,000 for a premium treadmill, which I'm happy with. The app is subpar for a higher end machine, though. It can't link to any other health apps except Apple Health? That is quite disappointing. The treadmill has an integrated Android tablet! This needs to get additional integrations or I won't likely continue with the premium membership after my trial is up. Update: No additional integrations in 4 months. Reducing a star. It's just not good enough.

very good...I would like to have a way adjust the work out length with the around the world locations. My time alloted to working out is pretty fixed...and there are only a couple at roughly that length of time. It would be nice to just be able to choose a location and a program so I could exercise in all the sites rather world. The incline is not tied to the geography of the location (when the coach says to raise the incline the video has you still running level) so it really doesn't matter.

I just want the basic stuff - I don't want all the graphics, etc. I went into manual mode so that I could see the stats as I ride. I clicked into "settings." Unbelievable you can't get out of that screen when you're finished. You have to quit the app and then go back in. You can't call them for support. Also, on their voice greeting (which hangs up on you), they refer to problems as "issues." Dumb.

No way to change from a mobile-only subscription to the all-access subscription. Purchased a BowFlex bike with the tablet attached but cannot use it properly because I have the wrong subscription. When I reached out to JRNY support, I was told they couldn't do anything about it because it is managed by the Google Play store. Google Play store only allows me to cancel or resubscribe.

Worst update. You took away all of my favorites and for the max, there are no 31+ long workouts. My subscription renewal is coming up and I'm seriously considering not renewing. How is this better? Update: You said you heard us but still no longer workouta for the Max9 and today, the 30 minute workout worked in the morning but didn't in the afternoon. How is this better? So incredibly frustrating.

The app is as worthless as the equipment that run the garbage JRNY software. They don't tell you that the device will be turned into a boat anchor when they push out a mandatory update then claim your device has a "bad chip" that is preventing the update from completing. Oh and by the way the warranty doesn't cover electronics. And oh by the way you'll need to purchase an entire electronics assembly that is nearly the full cost you paid for the treadmill to begin with. 👎

My app no longer recognizes my subscription. I am realizing their is no direct customer support and only a ticket system. how to get support is unclear in the app as well. App functionality has been reduced over the last few months. updated to two stars. new AI voice and workouts for the bike have dramatically dropped. basically post update is just sprint interval workouts. no coaches. it's awful.

The routines were all replaced, and now nothing but 'manual' mode suits my preference. If you just want a steady 30 minutes endurance building run on an elliptical, you're out of luck. I don't want to have to pay attention to the app to watch for peaks and valleys. I just want to go at the highest pace I can sustain for 30 minutes, maybe a single peak halfway through, and listen to my music. I don't want to do a survey after every workout. I already know my workout, just open on Favorites.
