So here's my honest take on Kagi News. I've tested a bunch of news aggregator apps and this one's pretty solid. The daily press review format is super convenient and I like how they pull in different perspectives instead of just one biased take. It's not as feature-packed as some other apps, but it's focused on just giving you the essential info without all the fluff. Compared to something like Apple News, I'd say Kagi is a bit more curated and high-quality. Only downside is the ads, but you can pay to remove them.

Cons

  • Upgrades take forever at higher levels
  • Gets repetitive after a while
  • Ads can be annoying if you don't pay

Description

Been using Kagi News for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that gives you a quick daily rundown of the news – no doomscrolling or clickbait, just a focused 5-minute summary with different perspectives. Helps me stay informed without wasting too much time on it.

Here’s what you do: every day there’s a new review covering the big stories, with a summary, highlights, key quotes, and some context. And there’s also one-tap access to the original articles if you want to dive deeper. It’s got a clean, easy-to-navigate layout that makes it simple to get the info you need.

Look, if you’re into staying up-to-date on current events but don’t want to waste your whole day reading the news, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – there are still some ads which can be annoying – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.
