Smart lights/switches work well enough most of the time. Not 100% reliable, but fine for what it is. The cameras on the other hand are infuriating. When motion activated, will only record 15-20 seconds, even when motion is still going on. But then if a strong breeze moves a tree in the distance, it'll register movement. The sensitivity settings in the app are meaningless. The cameras are also always showing that theyre offline. Refresh the screen 6 times and they usually appear.

absolutely love my KASA stuff! as an older somewhat tech averse person who absolutely hates Alexa or any other devices listening to me( yes I know they do and if you like that sort of thing, KASA certainty works with them) but I love being able to turn lights on and off, adjust their brightness, and turn on and off and adjust my ceiling fans and my doorbell camera that doesn't make my doorbell buzz and It also works great! I'm always looking for new devices that I can add to my home.

When it works, it's a great little camera for my office. However, two stars because it's CONSTANTLY disconnecting itself. I have to be present to reconnect. It literally disappears from my app. Super frustrating when you're on vacation and suddenly you lose access to your security camera. Running one single camera, using Galaxy S22 Ultra w latest update

Color Picker doesn't work properly? I have a preset that I had changed to be red but the bulb is a light pink instead. Exit preset, go to the normal manager and try and pick the same red- It then works but it's not a preset. I don't understand. :/ Also... I should be able to plug-in hex codes or something to help fix this issue, or pick from recently used colors to set as a preset. Never had this issue before and had this app for years. Very confused.

I used to love this app, but for the past couple of days my notifications and motion detectors for this app aren't working. I have checked it both on the cameras and my phone and all of them have notifications marked. I raised the sensitivity, etc and I can't get it to work. I have even uninstalled and installed the app several times, still cant get the notifications and motion detector to work.

I have the LB120 bulbs and I always have to reconnect them after a power outage. The worst part is that even if they're off at the time of the power outage, they turn on when the power is restored. My LIFX bulbs have a feature to remember the power state, and also don't have to be reconnected every time the power goes out. I have never had to reconnect the LIFX bulbs. The app looks out dated and is in need of a dark mode and the widget often doesn't work. Terrible app and product.

All around awesome. great price, easy to set up and use. the pan/tilt control work well as does the motion detection, night vision and the speaker function. I'm not good with technology at all and this is easy and fun! Yes, fun... there's a voice function where you can talk thru the camera. I talk to my dog during the day. so yeah, totally worth it!!

Great app. Easy to set up. I've had problems with other security cam apps but this one pairs quickly and easy. 24/7 filming available. My favorite part is that you can pick multiple spots you want to film and the camera will automatically-pan to those spots at the press of a single button. This way you don't have to keep controlling the camera yourself. It has motion detection as well.

I've been using these cameras now for about a year and I'm really happy with him. I have two ins on my home, one upstairs, one downstairs just in the common areas. it lets me watch on my animals, I can even talk through them. it confuses my cats. I've even talked to my kids through them a few times. overall I'm very happy with them, and the app is easy and user friendly. no problems getting it set up or getting anything connected to Wi-Fi.

Easy to set up - had the app set up and 4 plugs/lamps set up and scheduled within 10 minutes. It all works great and made me feel safer for a recent 5-day trip. I plan to buy another set and use them for every day use, not just trips away from home. The app has other features too, gives you full control no matter where you are. Awesome product.

completely unreliable. will randomly stop giving notifications for camera motions (people have come onto the camera when I wasn't home and I didn't get any kind of notification) and the activity feed rarely loads, usually just showing blank pages of nothing; very buggy and unsafe. not fit for an emergency, as a woman I don't recommend edit: within a week of writing this review, the app glitched out TWICE. camera randomly went offline and there was no kind of notification. congrats on worst app

Good app, scedules, runtime, etc. However the app will randomly disconnect from the network and show as offline. Sometimes a partial amount of devices in the app will work or not. It's bizarre behavior and I have tried every single troubleshooting step. When the app works, it is a great product, though it is not consistent.

Simply works as advertised Update: Until recently the app has worked without any major issues. However, recently (maybe since the last update) the app continually logs out and it hangs trying to start it. the only way to get it going again that I have found is to restart my phone. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and clearing the app cache but that only temporarily allows it to work again for less than 24 hours.

This app is very good. It could be great if the cameras were more responsive. We use a couple in a nursery, and they are hit and miss. If we didn't have other monitors, we wouldn't realize our two year old was crying. The app should also have a dark mode. If we are trying to adjust something on the app when we're in our child's room, it's like having a flashlight on.

SUDDENLY UNLINKED EVERY SINGLE DEVICE!! There was an issue with my wifi and network account so we restarted it and it unlinked all the devices connected to my Kasa app. it took me a long time, hours, to set everything up because my home has all kasa smart switches. This was a nightmare and now I'm worried this will repeat. A waste of time. If you're buying for the smart feature, don't do it. Works well till there is a wifi reset or power outage and you have to resave each and every device.

Controls my switches and receptacles perfectly. Easy to install and configure. Has survived many brown outs and Wi-Fi outages. Wish Ivory switches were available. I've said too much. Three years later everything is still working fine. The automation is easy to configure and robust. Several plug-in modules stopped working but were easily replaced. I think our power company may have caused it. Maybe not?

it can be finicky to get some devices connected. but once connected it has worked well with both google and Alexa and have been very stable. reprogramming has been easy, no devices have broken, and the app is reasonably feature rich. I sincerely hope they never change this system and keep it up and running for years to come! I recommend Kasa for smart devices every chance I get. keep up the great work.

can't even set up camera. Just got a Kasa cam and it connects to my phone, but then just keeps scanning for several minures before timing out and will not go to the next screen. I've reset, put my phone right next to it/the router, and nothing. There is no helpful information on the tplink/support page. This was supposed to be easy,but it's just frustrating.

This app never works properly. I have multiple cameras set up on the app and it'll constantly show the cameras as off when they're on, or on when they're off. Also, it's always a pain to turn the cameras off or on. The button just stops working and continually clicking on it does nothing. You have to manually force stop the app and clear the cache. Overall just a really poorly functioning app.

I switched from Wemo plugs to Kasa a few years ago and the performance has been rock solid. The app could use some polish but once you figure out how the scheduling works it's super easy to create schedules and timers. Hopefully they'll have an entire line of lights to complement their other products. The plugs are wonderful.
