This is by far the best Bible app for doing daily devotions, or just general reading the Bible. that I have found anywhere.
Reviews for King James Bible - KJV Offline
← Back to King James Bible - KJV OfflineThe word of God being read is refreshing. This app has made it easier for me to quickly search the scripture whenever I need to do it.
The app is excellent and helpful. The developers did an excellent 👌 work, it is comprehensive , and complete from text to audios it's just exceptional. keep up the good work and may God bless you. Amen
I must say I made the right decision by downloading King James Bible App. it has been a wonderful experience so far and I'm glad I don't need to turn on my data to read and listen to audio.
I am so happy having this Bible App in my phone cus it makes it easier for me to search and read the scriptures. Everything i found in this app gladdens my heart more especially the trivia and daily gospel. Indeed GOD is someone we can not do without.
Great app, but I would really love it if you could create study folders where we can compile scriptures on certain topics that really speak to us
this was good now they want to put adverts on this thing, this is pathetic like God wanted materialistic things in the bible, not right you developers, uninstalling junk, may as well call it adverts on a bible so it can annoy you and get you to pay for things when God explicitly said things would be freely given, not trying to profit from people. you guys know how to bring in the devil with adverts. so much for being Christ like, like what jesus said against the rabbis in the church.
This offline app has an intuitive interface which allows the user to control the experience. I like that I can launch the app and dive right into reading or listening to the Bible without the distraction of a splash screen. The app supports dark mode, custom app border color and passage highlight colors, fonts and line spacing. Supports notes. The default audio voice is a pleasant male (would be nice if the voice could be chosen) Only suggestion is a neutral or dark audio player color.
Used it for 10+ years, very convenient and functional. The adds are not a big deal now unlike in the past when it pops up out of nowhere. It works best when you have the data disabled and the Bible app fully operates without any ads.
I love this app. I use it every Sunday & Wed. I no longer take my paper Bible to church. It is very user friendly. It has an ad when you first open it. I just make sure my volume is off before I open it. Its easily closed so you can get to where you need to be.
I love this Bible app. I have others (about 10 of them), multiple translations and so on which I no doubt use. However, I still return to this because of the features I can find on it that the others don't have. Welldone development team. !👍 I have an observation though, it appears the back up is on the phone and the SD card only. If you could work the back to be synced to an email account, I believe that would work better when we change devices.
This is a very good application. I enjoy the narration and the quality of the voices. It has nearly every thing i would ask of a bible app. (Edit) this app has become ruined by over monetization. Every time you click any menu item you get a full screen ad, plus the constant ads at the bottom of the screen. In order to go ad-free, it's $17 for the pro version. That is extortion! This company has so many Bible apps that it's doing the same thing with. Stop monetizing the Bible!
Subscribed to pro version and free from watching ad but the downside is the morning alarm cannot be turned off. It need to go to settings and disable it and everytime you read the bible, it prompts you to cancel .It will be good if morning alarm does not appear and confuse with alarm clock. Overall it is a good app for your daily devotion and reading.
Sadly I may have to uninstall the app. Whenever I try to save a reading progress or check the total progress I've made thus far with the app, the app keeps crashing and saying there's a bug. It says to wait for the developer to update the app for the issue to be fixed. That's unreasonable because my bible reading progress is very important to me. The update is not available 😕. Unfortunately, all my other apps are showing up for updates except this one. I'll determine what next in a few days.
This app is really nice to have if you are learning the bible on the go. Its also nice if you are bed ridden or physically put out because it engages you a bit. It has verses of the day and it will remind you what you've read in each book. You can highlight write notes and it's easy to find the books in church if you have trouble memorizing.
The best most comprehensive KJV app I've encountered. Attractive, easy to use, with all kinds of options. Love the night look, the font size control, and especially the sharing features. Unlike a lot of KJV apps I've tried, you can share more than one verse at a time. Further, unlike so, so many apps, this once cites the verses for you as psrt of sharing. I could not be more happy!
I'm glad to incorporate Gods words into this aspect of my life "phone", though I mostly prefer the paper pages in my hands. The app has its conviencies and is easier for me to navigate through. No doubt I'll gradually use it more regularly too. Want to thank you for putting this out in the "internet world". And it may be the only thing on my device I don't even have to be connected in the line to open app... That's powerful. Love it.
This is just what I was looking for in my studies and reflection on the Word! Very user-friendly, easy to write notes in, decent customization options, wide selection of reading plans, works great offline with no ads, and the audio is nice as well. My only complaints is that the pro version is rather expensive when all it does is remove ads while using the internet, and that there should be an option to download audio for a whole single book of the Bible at once.
The new update forces the "listen" option to show all of the time. It is annoying, intrusive, distracting, and covers words. You have to constantly scroll up or down to avoid it. Even if you dont want to listen. I just want to read. I want to revert to a previous option but there is no way. The "listen" icon should be an option to turn on or off. I am uninstalling this program. There are some good stuff to the program though. The ability to change font and line spacing is helpful
No option to remove ads. For that matter, no settings options period. And ads appear along bottom of page while you are trying to read the Bible, which is incredibly distracting. Worse yet, it won't let me read anything besides Genesis! I can select any verse in the Bible and it will take me to that chapter and verse in Genesis. Can I contact the developers about this? No, because there is no "contact us" option.
