Very nice for improving your knotting techniques. the app allows you to rotate the knots and go through the various ways to tie them at your speed. you can stop in the middle of the process to make sure you're tying properly. 10/10. worth the money if you either like knots for the fun..or need to keep your skills sharp to save lives.

This is a terrific, authoritative guide to a wide variety of essential, general-purpose knots as well as a great selection of less frequently seen but popular specialty knots for unique real-world purposes. The visual demonstrations are great and you can control the speed, stop and start, and vary the viewing angle. The text descriptions and caveats about a knot's performance and limitations are also very good.

yeah I like except for one flaw. appears a lot of the knots illustrations stop too quickly - need to allow illustrations to finish. Nonetheless still a pretty good app

Pleasantly surprised with the quality of the animations showing how to tie some pretty complex knots. I like the pausible animation speed control which helps one to follow and understand the process of tying any of the great selection of knots included with the app. It's very helpful that knots are grouped according to activity or application you need a specific knot for. This does mean that some knots are in more than one group so finding 'that knot' is easy and fast. Good work.

This app is SO essential for a novice like myself always in need of tying stuff up/down/together but cant effectively memorize every procedure required to do so! The variety, knowledge, history & complete demonstration of execution for each knot makes this AMAZING pocket tool 2nd to NONE!! Such a FANTASTIC gift of knowledge & "how to" at your finger tips for quick easy access taking any skill level of rope tying to an elite level!! T.Y. to the Creator! Excellent App, used for years now, highly recommend, as I'm an avid kayaker, camper and trailer guy. Really good 3D visualisation, with stop, start, rewind to walk you through the steps. Also, excellent description, purpose & and categorisation to help you pick the best knot for the job. Top App!

I've had this app for years and I still learn from it. Not only is it great for learning new knots but the animations are perfect to quickly remind me how to do a certain knot.

It's a great app nice interface and use of an specific use of a database. Things to improve: The new 3D view should work while the knots are made. Right now the 3D view is just at final step, it will be good to move the camera freely while the knots are constructed.

So glad I came across this app., which is well laid out and very intuitive. The paid-for version is well worth it. It's loaded with a wide range of different types of knots, and hitches, etc... with a great amount of info. on how they are best used for different applications.

Cant install the latest 10.003 version. It keeps telling me cant install it. Never happened before in updating previous versions. System and storage are not the cause. The update was about 2.8 mb. After uninstalling the app and several attempts to reinstall it. The same screen pop up. (Update: Thanks for the reply. After leaving it for about 20 hours and reinstall the app just now. Nothing pop up and it has been installed sucessfully this time.) Will email you if it persists in the next update.

this is pretty good that it has instructional videos that show how to make the knot and you can adjust the speed. and I just learned that you can progress and rewind the video just by swiping your hand over the front of the knot as you're viewing it. brilliant

In my opinion this is the best knot app, pretty much by a landslide. There's a few knots that I've come across that I wish were listed, but overall this really covers everything you should need for any application really. The animations are great. You can change the speed however you need it. And yeah it's the greatest knot app I've used so far.

Trying to learn to use the right knot for the job and this app is the best one I have used. A large catalog of knots organized by type/function. You can rotate, flip, spin, split screen showing the animation above and the text description below it - you can also go full screen. Definitely worth the look.

Amazing app. Elegant, simple, and useful. I go camping, fishing, and own a boat. Already seeing knots I can use that are better than I had been using. Also, thanks for not requesting android permissions. If I had to to nit-pick, there are 2 things: 1. Adding a glossary for Knott Type would be very helpful. 2. Being able to pinch-zoom on the animation would be helpful. Nice Easter Eggs - Pinch zooming in then turn 2 fingers spins the knott - Swipe left/right below image to FF/RWD

A vanishing skill, a working knowledge of knots is indispensable when you need it. How often have you secured a load with an assemblage of various "granny" knots, and known there was a better way? It's easy to carry a short line wherever you go, and practice with this exemplary app when you have a moment. It categorizes knots by likely use (e.g., boating, general "useful"), and you can change perspective and speed. There are special knots that do cool things you wouldn't imagine. Try it!

This is by far the best Knots teaching/demonstration app I have seen. I have tried lots of them and this one is worth every penny. I have used it for several years. Dont waste your time with the sad free ones out there. The animations are great and you can rotate the view and rock it back and forth to really see and understand whats happening.

Great app for knots. The pause function allowing the knots to be advanced slowly by pressing a button is really helpful. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because I'd really like to see different (easier) methods to tie the more difficult knots, as I've seen in other videos, but this is really variable based on the individual, and I'm really having to nitpick to find something I'd like to see improved based on my opinion. Overall a very helpful app. The best of all the apps I've found.

I wish there were a way to look up the best knots for a specific use case, like "I need to hang a clothesline" or "I need to lift an object." Maybe an additional category that lists common use cases or tasks and shows the relevant knots. Even adding a way to just search keywords in the descriptions would be helpful. In any case, this is a great app and is handy in a surprising amount of situations.

I've been using this App for over 3 years. It's the best one on the market that I've found. You can control the speed of the video and slow it down or even back it up to see a difficult routing, rotate it, and keep a list of your favorites. Sometimes, there is an advantage to seeing the hands tie a knot, such as the Alpine Butterfly wrap method, and other techniques to tie these knots that this App doesn't show, but it's still my go to App for reminders and practicing.
