Best sampler of all time! It's very versatile, and in the Samurai pack there's Quokka synth so you can design your own sounds. This app is perfect, I'm hopeful for the best of it.

Desperately needs an arranger feature. It's very easy and intuitive to edit samples and turn them into sequences, but without an arranger there's nothing you can do with them. The sequences just exist individually, like raw ingredients that can't be turned into a meal. It's a baffling omission by an obviously talented team of developers. Koala would easily be a 5-star app, but without this simple but essential feature it's a 3.

this is simply amazing. its very intuitive, very simple yet offers limitless possibilities. this is the ultimate pocket sampler. when the world goes offline, I'll miss this app the most. best value for money imaginable. just one thing: it would be great if it was possible to name the samples for better orientation! maybe its possible and my smooth brain hasnt found out yet, in that case I'm sorry @dev anyway, thank you!

Best app I've ever bought! Even with the base purchase you have access to a lot of stuff to make beats just on your phone! I had always dreamed of an app like this!

This is my favorite music production app so far for ios or Android. Can't wait to see how it gets fleshed out in the future with more updates. A few things I'd love to see is the ability to move a sample to another pad instead of only being able to copy it. I'd love to have the ability to select multiple pads and be able to adjust the pitch or volume etc on all at once. 16 levels mode would be CRAZY. A move tool in the sequencer would be great, it can be tough to move a lot of notes at once.

For the first time I ever I feel like I could have use for a tablet. Userface, everything, is very intuitive and easy to use. Koal Sampler is the best there is for mobile music production. I've made music for well over 20 years and I often find myself coming to Koala over my desktop DAW. The only app I've gladly paid for. Thank you!

New to sampling/ mixing. this app has all I need and more to grow into. The app is well managed and frequently updated. lots of support through the app on youtube. 5 stars and worth every penny!

Lovely little app that is so much more powerful than you'd think. It's so easy to record stuff on the fly and make a beat out of it. It has its quirks and limitations but that's what makes it work. Perfect for when you're sitting outside and inspiration strikes.

I have been using this sampler for a year now and I cannot recommend this enough to people. But I have noticed whenever I connect to a midi via Bluetooth through a third party app (My device cannot read it when I attempt to connect to the device) it works fine for about 5-6 clicks before it just stops reading the input of the drum pad all around. I just wrote this down because I am curious as to why this has been happening since I first started using the drum pad. Still looking for assistance.

Very excellent app,and lots of tutorials and social media groups for questions, answers and tips. Seems like Marek, the developer, really cares about this App. It's an awesome bargain, and is very easy to use,but not limited. And the updates keep coming, yay. And there's now a synth, wow! And a song mode!

I get that this app is still rather new and so far it's pretty fun to mess with.. I think it would definitely be nice to have a built in synth and it would be great to be able to select multiple pads.. to move, delete, mute, send to a buss, choke, etc. I'd also like to be able to drag and drop chops from the auto chop screen to pads. The mic directly to mixer doesn't work and some FX act funny depending on the parameters being used. I'm out of room to explain.. 500 character limit here.

By far the best 5 dollars I've ever spent for myself. Been making beats for almost 15 years and am extremely impressed with how much power this app has. I have an sp404 mk2 and koala is essential to my work flow. I export all my tracks through it, i edit/sequence samples, and I've made many tracks entirely with koala. Samurai upgrade is definitely worth the extra couple bucks. My mk2 was 500 dollars and there are very few things it can do that koala cant. 20/10 highly recommend!

Woweee! Bought this based on the good reviews. They ain't lyin'. This app is very impressive. Made a sick track with my mouth in like 5 minutes, didn't even use a tutorial. I have much experience on maschine, push, and other sampler devices and thought this would not be up to par. I was wrong. You can edit samples, add fx and re sample all within the app. Instantly became my favorite music tool app.

This has quickly become my favorite app. One of my favorite ways to fish for samples is to turn on the native screen recorder and find videos on youtube that have clips I want, then use the import video function and crop out the sound you want. Presto! One feature that I think would be extremely helpful would be the ability to label individual samples on the pads, ie a short description over the waveform on the pads. Thank you so much for this app!

It took me YEARS, finding the right DAW and watching youtube tutorials on making BEATS. Never had alot of money to buy equipment but Koala is the first music software that just clicked for me. I can get my ideas out faster and everything is easy to use. It should honestly be more than $4. But I just wanted to thank you for the work you put in this app. (P.S) "It would be dope if you can invent a midi

I have around 30 premium music studios across Android and iOS. Several are $50+. Koala is so intuitive that I keep going straight for it. It's phenomenal for getting ideas out of your head and archived in some form. It is lacking a few quality of life features. there are workarounds, so it doesn't lack functionality for your goal. If you want a user-friendly instrument + sequencer but don't like the idea of using prebuilt instruments, this is the app you need to get.

Love it! I've been using production software for 20 years and thought this would be a fun sketch pad for ideas to flesh out later. I'm actually exporting finished loops directly from Koala. Really intuitive and fun. The best sequencer/sampler for mobile devices, hands down. EDIT: After further exploration, I did encounter the bug where some samples from my library do not play. The fix is to restart the app, but it would be nice if this could be patched. Also, one thing that I think the app could use is the ability to retrigger a sample in the MIDI piano roll so that you can make a melody without longer samples overlapping. The ability to switch between making chords and single note lines would make this even more amazing. Still leaving my five stars because the Koala Sampler simple deserves it.

absolutely amazing! I've been using it for about 2 weeks and it's really really fun to make music with. you have to get kinda creative with your workflow, but the software is very powerful. the only thing I would like to see is a better pitch shifter, like one with an lfo, or even better, the ability to pitch shift in the sequencing tab. also it would be cool if you made a setting that allows you to play a sample all the way through and program pitch shifts through the sequencer.

Great sampler. Could have saved myself a lot of money on hardware if I had realized how intuitive and easy beatmaking could be on my phone. Once you figure out your little work flow this is a brilliant piece of kit for getting ideas down if they're centered around samples. You can screen record anything you see or hear on the internet, extract the audio, and import it into Koala sampler. In less than 1 minute you can start slicing & dicing. Pay the extra for the full version! Worth every penny!

Just stumbled on this app a couple weeks ago. Gotta say, it's the best sampler for android you'll ever find! I paid for the full version and paid for all the added features and if they release more features.....I'll be paying for those too! It's so intuitive I didn't even need a manual. It's so close to replacing my my entire DAW. Endless possibilities. Easy workflow. I can't get over how incredible it is. I've been creating source sounds on my PC and importing them to the app. 10X stars!!!!
