I like using the AccuBlue and I did need to use customer support once and they were very helpful. My note is to plug in the AccuBlue right before you fill your test disks. Fill the disk place on the AccuBlue. Start the Leslie app. Wait for the device to connect. Start a water test. Minor complaint would be when following Leslie's water treatment, I might have a double dose that requires 4 hours between dosing. when I come back after 8 hours the app is no longer in the same mode. Not an issue.
Reviews for Leslie's - Pool Care
← Back to Leslie's - Pool Careso many things wrong with this app. I have to re add the water tester every single time I use the app. The app will crash and it wont save my test results, very frustrating. When the app does decide to work it gives accurate results and I can get my pool clean. Please fix this app and hire a professional to get it done right.
Edit: Better connection with the scanner now! If you fix the speed this app is so slow refreshing between screens and not saving scans if phone goes to sleep even if the results are still up on screen (wasting a disk)... I'll update to 5 stars. Original: Very unstable connection to tester. Requires, multiple unplugs and hope it connects. Edit2: getting worse. Shopping the main reason your in business is to sell chems doesnt work. The auto complete interrupts your typing so it misses letters.
Editing my review. Leslie's app have made some major improvements because the app works great, and my test results are now emailed and never lost. What I pay for in the membership pays for my chemicals (35k gallon pool) and extra throughout the year. Worth paying for.
Accublue home product has been glitchy since I first got it about 4 months ago. Today, however, it doesn't work at all. I have wasted so many test units because of no bluetooth connection, app closing not recognizing the accublue, or the tester not wanting to test and having to shut down the phone or testing machine and restarting. I have called Leslies, but it will be 24-48 before they get to me! NOT VERY CUSTOMER FRIENDLY!
Errors out when trying to use for water testing and ruins the cartridges which they charge for. Disappointing. 9/12/25 Update: App was acting up again showing a blank screen after loading. uninstalled and reinstalled it and it worked. I like it didn't ask me to have to login again, it remembered me.
Good for chemical recommendations but needs some improvements. Only allows you to enter data for 4 different test resuts that you can easily get from a 6 way test strip. It would be better if you could enter all 6 values that you get from a test strip instead of wasting your time by forcing you to take a water sample to the store to get them. If they fix that I might actually buy my supplies there instead of ordering them from Amazon.
App stopped working so now I can't run my water test with accublue. Before that the whole app was just above garbage. Slow, always asking to review it, hard to navigate with to many clicks for every action. Worst part is that to do some actions such as sign up for the accublue tester you have to go online on a computer and deal with their trash website. If you have any other possibility for pool chemicals locally to you I highly recommend going to them instead.
App no longer works for me. When I first installed it it worked pretty good and the tests seemed to be pretty accurate. After that it would work intermittently and now it does not work at at all for me. Every time I try to use it I get the message: Oops something went wrong. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several time and clearing the casch and restarting my phone. Nothing works.
Too sales oriented. I want to know how to fix an issue, not just a product of theirs to buy. i.e. how much cyanuric acid should be added to my specific pool to fix that issue, not how much pool conditioner to buy. I thought product purchases would be optional to make the app useful but apparently not. They certainly ask for enough info to do that.
I got the Accu blue device which promised if I pay $55 a month there will be a $50 credit available to me, but the use of that credit is unbelievably difficult. I'm very close to canceling this account. I don't recommend it until they figure out how to connect their systems so that you don't repeatedly show up at a Leslie's store and not get the credit. I understand how they are trying to manipulate me and it pisses me off. Please change the pricing for AccuBlue to $5 a month with no credits.
Much better user interface since my last review 3 years ago. However, clicking to read reviews of a product yields an error message. I don't like that you can't see ALL products of a given type online or in app, such as products that must be purchased in store, eg. Polaris VRX Iq+. I get it, there are manufacturer restrictions on SALES of certain products online, but you should at least be able to research a given product on your site and know of its availability in store for purchase.
Frustrating. Error message displayed in the Member Deals link/Pool Perks tab. $15 off purchase of $60 deal I was notified about in an email is not showing up. Started ordering process through the app and got as far as payment info page. I won't enter payment info before I see the $15 discount off the total. Also noticed "in stock/out of stock" status at "my store" kept changing. Is it in stock? Do I get the discount? Who knows? I guess I'll have to visit the store in person.🙄
OK when it works. I've been using this app for about 6 months and I like that it gives clear recommendations and keeps a record of my water testing. I wish it provided better access to my data. But now I can't log into the app at all, it just gives an "Oops something is wrong" message. So I checked the Leslie's website -- I can log in there (after a long delay) but all my pool history has disappeared. So no I can't recommend this app.
This little machine is amazing. I use it on an hoa pool that I service. These machines are made only really for residential purposes, but it actually works really well for commercial. The only downside is as of right now. You can only buy a 5 pack of the disks that you use. To check the chemicals and that is not nearly enough. So I have to buy multiple multiple packages of discs. and it actually shows you on your up, exactly the way it would show you if you went into the store to have it read.
Try to open the app and you get a blank screen. If you manage to get in to the app, when you try to log in it spins for a minute and then says "Oops, something went wrong." If you manage to clear that challenge, then when you try to test your water using the Accublue system, it says disconnected and you have to keep unplugging the unit until it decides to connect. Once connected, you have a 50/50 chance of getting the "Oops!" Error when you hit the Test Water button. This app is broken.
The Leslie's app is pretty good. When it works, it works great. That said, it takes at least 30 sec. to load every time you open it. Also, about half of the time, it doesn't initiate the accublue water test, even though the accublue device shows that it is connected. I recommend the app, only if you need it to use the accublue home water analyzer.
This app just keeps getting worse! Accublue Home customer. Typically have to restart my phone multiple times to get it to connect with the machine. As of today, cannot login at all. Uninstalled/reinstalled multiple times, changed password 5 time, and still get the annoying message "oops, something went wrong, try again" over and over. Called customer service and they have no idea how to help - so supposedly someone from "IT" will send me an email. I've wasted hours on this. So frustrating
For an app that is part of a $50/month service, it's been nothing but trouble. When I look at my test results, the info page for a result shows only the number. It doesn't show the desired range or anything about the measurement. Each set of test results seems to replace all previous, giving me no method to look back at previous test results. As of today, I can't even open the app. It simply says 'Oops, something went wrong'. Logging out, clearing storage, etc. has not helped.
I'm sick of seeing the rate us button pop up so... Having the ability to get accurate tests with readouts that include the chemicals you need is fantastic and the device is essentially free. However it is slower to buy chemicals than the website and it constantly disconnects from the device so I need to restart app on/off the device and pray that it works after I do that. Not my phone issue tried multiple devices. It's an app issue oh and always needs Internet BS
