Don't Download!! If you haven't downloaded forget it- run screaming. Norton version has the worst interface. Need to no sign in with full credentials every time you access app. Pin feature is either nonexistent or not working. Once in, new interface is confusing and too busy. Norton version adds nothing, zero- is in no way an upgrade.
Reviews for LifeLock Identity by Norton
← Back to LifeLock Identity by NortonThe experience with this app is horrible. It can't be called user friendly by any stretch of the imagination. I hope the protection is better than their attempt to integrate with Norton. With a lot of sweat and tears I THINK it may all be set up. Be ready to call customer support. At least you can reach a live person, but not a person from my country so very hard to understand. I would never rate the app higher than 2 stars, like I said I hope the protection is worth it.
Very easy and convenient especially in combination with 2 global cards I use as a credit/debit card. I can transfer only a certain amount in each very quickly so we can use it to pay for everything. If the cards get compromised, I can get them replaced. The combination is perfect for speed, security, and convenience.
The app won't let me log into subscriptions. VPN blocks me from getting on a tremendous amount of sites. When I tried to turn it off, it wanted me to login. I tried. It would NOT accept my name and password, which I know for a fact are correct. I have been trying for almost an hour now and I just give up. I used to love Norton, but lately, all I've had is trouble.
I have been a "member" for 5 days. During that time I have not had a single day where seats on the license didn't just stopped running, add a device a second time, or cancel, requiring deleting and re-adding. In all, they have stopped a total of 8 times in 5 days. I have tried to call twice and both times was on hold for more than 2 hours including 9:30 at night.
Once you get passed all the downloads, settings and notifications it is a very safe feeling came over me. I have had Norton in the past but not this version of LifeLock and I am totally impressed so far. And I really like the fact I can make monthly payments vs a 1 time payment, makes this very affordable with my challenging income. I highly recommend this product. Be Safe Out There.
1. Opening any app results in an audio alert. Closing any app ... Same. Tilting my phone to get the time, yeah, you guessed it - loud audio alert. 2. Also no ability to configure the sound to use alerts. I am constantly having to check notifications to see if I have mail or whatever and finally decide it's just the silly alert going off because I looked at the phone (seriously, it seems that bad after weeks of use). Most annoying app ever used, not sure it is worth the cost or frustration.
I love to know I have such great security...I know it's great because there are some times I just can't log into this app and others. I finally figure it besides Password Manager. I think k I'm locked out forever. When I follow the steps the log in or "Forgot Password" goes in circles. I just can't find a way in. Otherwise all of my Norton apps are fantastic.
Persistent issues with sign-in. I can log into the website without any problem, but not this app. And the Forgot Password option DOES NOT WORK. I've never been able to reset my password with their service without calling support, yet they don't seem to have an issue sending me email notifications about credit-checks or promotions/ads. I don't get it. At least the website works. Update: Same problem today that plagued this garbage service 4 years ago.
This app is pretty useless. You can access information for any additional family members subscribed under your account. You can buy a subscription each, for anyone under your account, Norton will happily take your money, but you can't get reports or alerts or anything for those people under your account with those subscriptions you've paid for. Lifelock was great back in the day. Now, I can't see a point paying twice what the competition wants all while apparently getting no services at all.
Since the latest update/ transition to the Norton brand, this app has become nearly unusable. The user interface is not intuitive at all and you have to make several clicks just to get to the option you want. Even then the options are limited. Seriously. Check out the "settings" page and see exactly how many things you can configure to your liking. The notifications are excessive (it's like the algorithm doesn't even try to learn your purchase patterns). Biometric login never logs you in. Trash
A little bit underwhelming. I thought that it would be more thorough with my backgrounds. Recently, someone has ordered over 30 subscriptions, using my name, address and email. Their resolve was to contact each magazine. It would have been nice to make a report saying that my personal information has been compromised to be able to download all invoices and police report, instead there's just an 800. Not as advertised. ID theft is a real ongoing problem there needs to be more to protect one's ID.
The financial monitoring is horrible. Every single account I have added to monitor always disconnects randomly and often. Does not matter which institution it is. Then they don't want to reconnect for days. It also does not alert you when an account disconnects. Then I have to go in and add my login info everyday for each account to try and get them to reconnect. I don't understand why it is so unreliable. This has been going on for months at this point. Very disappointed for the price point.
This is the 1st time I have used any 'paid for' Identity/Personal Info Protection of any kind. I like that I can choose to sign up for a month or pay for a yearly subscription at a discount. The app is very easy to use...just follow the prompts. You can save up to 10 credit card #s to be monitored and multiple bank accts too. Dark web monitoring is included. A good, necessary, service at a fair price
I can't even sign in to the app. Update after update, it keeps loading me back to the sign-in screen, they never fixed that. For almost a year, it's been like that. Uninstall, reinstall, cleared cache, cleared data, everything. Nothing. absolutely nothing works. I wouldn't even know if worked beforehand, because I've had the app for as long as I had this phone; since march of this year. I can't tell how easy it is to use the app, or my experience for the ads shown, because i can't use it.
My only complaint is that sometimes important notifications come through WEEKS after other apps like life 360 had already alerted. Other than that, I love having peace of mind knowing my information, my properties, titles, and many more important things are consistently being monitored and protected. I pay annually because it's cheaper that way. However, it is a little more expensive than I would like. If the price was lowered by $50 ANNUALLY, I'd be 100% satisfied.
I'm trapped. I have to resubmit my 360 every other hour for months. They emailed saying my account was dropped for non-payment in March! But they were paid every single month including March! I have all details! I thought the problems were because you were hacked! But I'm told my app is old but it won't let me reinstall! On the 15th you'll take another 34.99 out! I've been trying to get ahold of accounting but it always says not available! You owe me for my efforts and zillion times a day 😓🤬
I'm giving this one star because as important as the software is if it malfunctions there's no point in even having it. it keeps dropping my accounts from financial monitoring for no reason. my bank says it's not on their end. and Norton wants to keep troubleshooting and troubleshooting. my social security number and every passkey and password I have has been sold on the dark web and I do not have time to play games with Norton's troubleshooting. brass tacks... I can't afford to mess around!
If I have to sign in with a two factor authentication every time that I open this app instead of just using my fingerprint (which i also have to set up each time) I don't see the point in using this app. If I get any alerts I get them via text and email. Having to sign in like I'm setting the app up for the first time each time is frustrating. I'm uninstalling next time this happens. Update: it happened again. Uninstalled. It's useless. Lifelock itself has been great but the app is horrible.
So, I've had LifeLock before and never really paid attention to it. This time, with the free 30-day trial, I'm making sure to take full advantage of all it has to offer. And there's a lot. Like the credit bureau check & monitoring, or the background check with sooo much information. Stuff you actually wanna know... 5+⭐️'s They continue to exceed my expectations.
