I tried a few apps, this one works the most aggressively. Other apps auto displayed random stuff I didn't want displayed, this one auto grabbed my downloads from e-mail and sorted them into It's library. The other apps I tried had difficulty with unusual characters and spacing, this app displays everything perfectly. The free version midnight theme is blinding at night, I paid the $3 so I could make the text almost as dark as the background. Looking forward to reading in the dark some more.
Reviews for Lithium Pro
← Back to Lithium ProBest book reader for mobiles. Just a wish: Put the dictionary first when a word is selected. Not with a second click. At least as an option. I mean, maybe we could have the option to see the dictionary as the first thing when we select a word, then highlighting colors with the pull down arrow.
ALMOST the PERFECT epub reader app! I love this epub reader more than any other but my one issue is that there's no option to have both the book-wide page progress indicator bar AND a chapter-wide progress indicator bar (or a scroll bar that shows up when you tap the screen to bring up the UI). I want to be able to track both my book-wide progress and my chapter-wide progress because sometimes chapters are extremely long and it helps manage my time if I know the progress of both at a glance.
I love how this app is so easy to use and has a dark mode, which is very useful. But I think there's a couple of things that can be improved, such as the dark mode itself, it would be better if it was amoled black. Another suggestion is to change the book grid from two columns to three, so it would display more books without scrolling.
I paid for the app because it is one of the best ebook reader on playstore it support andriod device from 4.1 and up, it is lite and doesn't consume a lot of ram. The only thing I didn't like about the app is that very hard to use the content menu. The scroll some time doesn't work. And can you add some themes that a original books should have.
Love the app, that's why I happily purchase this to support the developer (who is not very active it seems). However, I can't give more than 2 stars simply because I can't use custom fonts. If you're still here, please consider allowing to use custom fonts, even if optional.
The best epub reader app ever!!! I'm so happy to discover this! I was so sad to found out that I can't save my notes and progress when I'm only using the free version. However, it's so worth it!! Plus, cheap too! Now I can transfer my progress to other devices that I use. Thank you for this!
Bought the Pro to show my support. The free version works well enough and with Pro, you can sync data across multiple devices and back up notes and highlights through your Google Drive. And it's cheap too! It's a good deal to be very honest. I've been using Lithuim for a long time so I want to extend my support and gratefulness somehow. Thank you to the team! I hope it keeps working just well.
Really want to give this app 5 stars, but I can not. Very responsive; easy; simple; minimalistic and beautiful layout/interface. Everything they say it can do, it can do,..but the footnote feature is not good. Takes too long to jump to the notes and back. A pop up screen or something for the notes is all thats missing. The footnote links aren't visible, they get lost in the text.
Without doubt, this is still the best app for reading epub books. I've used it for many yrs and have always been happy with it. Hw a few extra features would be welcomed, such being able to increase and decrease font size more than is currently permitted; also it wud be handy if font size moved in 5% increments, rather than just 10% increments, as it currently does. Likewise with the margin sizes. Such tweaks, at least for me, wud make the app that little bit bettr. Thx.
I love this app, its the best epub reader app out there and I only used the beta for a month and brought the pro to show my support and to have more features, the app is great as it is but maybe we need an update, something that can be very convenient for everyone. I thought that maybe rather than syncing epub files, we should upload it instead, so that we wont lose our annotations when the file is deleted in the device and we would have easier access when using multiple devices.
The app is good I especially like the fact the free version has no ads. I bought the pro version to reward your work. I use it mostly for science books, it doesn't render everything 100%, particularly maths symbols and structure but at least the equations can be deciphered. This is far more than can be expected from other even paid ebook apps. Nice.
II'm a huge fan of this app, its definitely one of the best readers and since I exclusively read .epubs, a program that renders them PROPERLY is so important. Used the normal because I didn't know there was a pro vers.! Customisable colours is one of the things I was sorely missing. One the things I don't like is in the paged reading method there is page animation. Can you add an option to have no animation at all. When you next page it just appears. Animation is gimmicky and distracting. (I think) Please add map-able click areas. Like currently left is back, right is next and that's it. What if you wanted to click top and bottom instead? or be able to go back and forth from both sides. (eg. top left and right is back, bottom left and right is forward). I say because I read on phone and tablet and holding the device is not always in the same hand or position. So being able to navigate easily and quickly is better. (See the manga reader "perfect viewer" to get what i mean). Haven't tried the syncing thing yet but will definitely try! I think some of the UI could do with a bit more work. The 'bookshelf' is a bit boring and too small to read some titles. More details please!
Working really well. I bought it mainly for the extra colors and I was not disappointed. There are 5 added colors, making it 10 colors in total. The original 5 colors plus 2 blues, dark red, orange and pink. A dark green would have been better that one of the 2 extra blues but all in all, it's amazing. Thank you!
Only app I've found that renders some audio epubs legibly and with sound. Updated 2024: I am using Lithium even more than before because I like to purchase ebooks direct from the authors (trying to lose that AMZ monopoly on my purchases) . My wishlist would be 1) to be able to read pdf books as well, 2) to repair/edit epub data like title and author (incorrect data isn't searchable or sortable otherwise). I wouldn't mind paying a small (very small) annual fee to help app development.
I've been using the free version for about two years and loving it. I paid for the pro version with a specific hope: I really want to be able to color coordinate my book list based on category. I manually sort my huge list of files into categories and I would love to be able to use that categorization to pick a book off the shelf, essentially. I know this isn't listed as a feature, but I was hoping it would he in there anyway. No comment on the app's existing functions--I just want to organize.
Made another mistake. Saw the price and figured what could go wrong. Plenty! Get a bizare error in locating a java script file. It locks up the whole program and makes it impossible to read any book in the app. Wrote to the developer, of course there's no response. So I'm out a couple bucks. Lesson learned (I hope) Don't you fall for it!
I downloaded this because kindle kept forcing me to the beginning of my ebooks if they were not purchased from them. Meant that I had to constantly try to find my place again every time. Don't really need the pro features, but it works so well I wanted to support the dev. Only thing that I think would improved it is additional support for file types like .pdf.
Great app! But please add the following features: (1) Renaming the EPUB files. The names that the authors give them can make them useless when sorted alphabetically. For example, instead of "X Ch. 100", the name is "X Ch. One Hundred". (2) Reordering the Notes and Bookmarks by time added or location. (3) Making Note content searchable. It'll be of great help to search for Note "Battle at X" instead of having to memorise enough of an exact phrase to search.
I used to be able to sync with Google drive, but now it says there is nothing there. other epub readers can even though I don't like using them as well as Lithium. I can't even find a folder on my tablet that Lithium will draw from. This quickly went from first to worst. The app used to connect to my google drive so that I could pull a book down and read it. Now it connects but nothing is shown. Other apps can find it, but this on now doesn't.
