Switching from Flo to this. I have not used it for very long, but just due to the vast amount of symptom and activity logging. I would recommend this over any period app I have used (this includes Flo and Clue). I like how they also have a partner sharing option as well. For a free app, this is great! Also, dark mode? Flo and clue don't got that. Will update as soon as I can subscribe to yearly. I'm stuck with Flo until February and it would be a waste of money if I don't use it for the year.
Reviews for Lively: Cycle Syncing, Period
← Back to Lively: Cycle Syncing, PeriodHave been using the premium version of this app for several months now. I love the chart of hormones that says where you're at with each day, super useful. My biggest gripe is the sheer amount of information in the tips section. It's almost information overload..like if everything is a tip than nothing is a tip sort of thing. With that said, I have high hopes and know that they're probably developing more. I've waited a long time for an app like this as someone who is passionate about their cycle
Frustrated that I'm stuck in a 7 day trial with limited access to app features but if I buy the app now it will cost more than waiting for the end of the trial. This also means that I will never know, before purchase, if this app in it's entirety is comple useful for me. Additionally, it's been 15 mins and I have already seen a total of 3 different prices for the app which will always leave me wondering if I found the lowest possible option should I decide to purchase.
This is a really great app, but I wish you could extend that cycle length more. I'm on birth control, and I only have a period every 90 days/3 months. The cycle length in the app only allows for a fifty day cycle. Everything other than that is amazing!!! I love that way it shows you what types of food are better for each phase of your cycle, along with the workouts and activities to do to keep you moving.
I've had the Lively app for about a week and loved it initially. The first week was great, but almost as soon as my free trial ended, everytime I open the app, it's just a white screen and I have to close it out. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and it's the same thing. I just got a notification reminding me to log when my period starts, but it's kinda hard to when I can't even get into the app! The app is great when it actually opens, but it hasn't in about 36 hours.
This app is great and all, but for some reason, I run into the issue of having to enter all my info back in after a while. I'm not sure if this is an issue on my end, but it makes it difficult to track my cycle when suddenly I open the app and poof, I have to restart all over again. EDIT; Changed to 5 stars, great customer services and quick problem solving responses! I highly recommend this app for your needs as the interface is easy to navigate.
Purchased the premium version thinking I'd be able to see recommendations for the following week/cycle phase to use for meal planning and grocery shopping, but you can't. I can only see as far as "tomorrow". I've already paid for it so I'll keep using it for what it is, but unless the developers make that change, I'll be canceling it before it renews. Bummer..
Seems lovely, but needs to reconsider subscription process. You can't try the free trial without it automatically charging you for a yearly membership in 7 days. 7 days is obviously not enough time to test it when your cycle is monthly! I also looked in the description beforehand to find what features were paid, and it mentioned nothing. So I assumed that there was a free version with less features, and a paid version with more, like most period apps. I really wanted to use this.
Beautiful app, but not sure I can justify a subscription in the current state. There's no algorithm to predicting your next period. It goes off the days you, as the user enter... Which is not always the same every month. There's free apps that offer this as a native feature. Yes, the do/eat tips are nice, but "personalized" seems like a small reach as I'm sure the app is not offering particular tips based off me, Candace, in particular but more off a general recommendation. On the fence...
This app is hard to read. I realize their focus was on aesthetics, which is important to me, but the color choice makes the contrast non-existent, and the fonts are tiny. I'm trying to give it a chance, but I find myself not opening it because I'm not going to be able to see most of what's on the screen without straining. When I'm on or anticipating my period I don't need any other hard things in my life.
Love the app and its concept! But, it keeps crashing after a few seconds and my android analysis says it's because there's a bug. Fix that and the app is just about perfect I think :) I am sad I have to pay to get the full insights to make sure i can truly take care of myself during each phase of my cycle, but hey, apps aren't free to make! so I guess I can understand. Besides, working with what I can see is already pretty awesome!
I just downloaded this app, so far it's good!! I like how your also able to journal and pick specific things that you might be going through.Ex* Cramping, spotting, heavy/low flow, what you ate...etc. it's very engaging!! and it's also pretty aesthetically pleasingly. Overall it's easy to use and a simple period tracker.
Rated the app 8/1/25 (I don't remember when I installed it). Now 8/19/25, the app has been force closing on its own for about a week now and I don't know why. I just tried again to input my info for the day and it forced closed again, this time telling me that the app has a bug and that I needed to clear cache. I have cleared it but just in case anyone is still working on this or does not know, I hope this can be worked out.
I love the idea. tells you tips per day about activities, food, pt, and things to avoid.. the downside: i have a premium account, and yet, I log in every day, and it says I need to upgrade to premium.. the help bots tell you to reinstall the app and do the absolute most just to get your premium showing. also, it won't let me log my period. it just loads for hours and doesn't actually update the cycle. im not fond of paying $30ish/year just to have all this inconvenience...
i love this app, and the mood charts and all the food and stuff you can do, but it never gets my period right, I'm always 3-4 days late and my periods always start towards the end of the month but it always predicts it towards the middle. I was 5 days late last month. I just couldn't buy a subscription if it can't get the dates right. I've tried other apps that have always got it the day of.
I ended up downloading this app because of all the hype on social media. Its definitely a cute and aesthetic app. I downloaded this and it definitely helped with understanding of mood swings and energy levels. Though I wish it was more inclusive. Ive always had irregular periods. My period skipped again this past month, and it kinda sucks when the app can't really comprehend such information. After day 71, I was able to click to skip the period, but I wish there couldve been more options.
7 days for a trial when your period is once a month? I downloaded the app right as my period ended. I literally had no time to even experience the possibilities of the app before I had to dish out $30. On the least eventful week of the cycle for me. Sorry, but it wasn't enough time to bait me, definitely should be at least 30 days trial, come on.
I switched to this app because of it looking at the whole picture of my hormones/cycle by giving lots of tips and having a lot more variety. I wish it could synch up to my fitness/Oura apps, but I know that's a hard collaboration to create. It would be nice to be able to "add your own" foods or items so it's fully comprehensive on what I'm doing to help my body. Overall, I love this app a lot and I'm happy I switched!
Not the best for tracking your period, since you can't change ovulation date, nor do the symptoms you log seen to affect the prediction of your cycle in any way. It also seems like their widgets aren't available on a Galaxy phone. That being said, this is a new app and I have great hopes for it! I do enjoy using it as a lifestyle app. It's been amazing for learning to live according to my cycle, understanding the affects of my hormone levels, and tracking how I'm feeling and my health.
Not bad. I would like to see a lot more moods to log! I dunno about the to do/to eat things in the "log a symptom" section, feels useless. Maybe if there was a "planning ahead" space so that I can plan to buy certain foods and loosely meal plan ahead of time, and plan exercise, that would be more helpful. Love the addition of pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause. It really sets this app apart!
