Works well in general. One thing drives me nuts, though - if you reorder, or change pickup time, it clears out anything in your cart. Why? It means there's no way to reorder at a different time, or combine items from two previous orders. I would be fine if it offered to clear the cart, but allowed me to decline.

Not Functional. You must register to use the app. You enter your phone number, it texts you a four digit code. From there you get to the sign up page where you enter name, email, etc., but when you're done entering, there is no button to advance. I've tried multiple times downloading a fresh app each time. My conclusion is it's either bad design or the developers did not want Android users as customers.

When attempting to place my first order, I got an error about "Missing Customer Information". Lack of mitigation instructions aside, I eventually figured out that my name and phone number had not been retrieved properly when I signed into the app (I have an account that I have successfully used in the browser interface before). However, attempting to input that information resulted in the error: "We were unable to access your profile right now". Eventually, I gave up. Seems like a major bug.

Everybody and their mother wants to get into the food delivery business, they just can't do it as well as the other apps. The app defaults to pickup without any sort of confirmation. It's nice that they have the "reorder" function, but if O got delivery last time it should default to pickup. It's also difficult to tell once the order has been placed whether or not the order is delivery or pickup. Irritating having to drive to restaurant when I was planning on staying in.

Underdeveloped. There's no reason that using Toasttab in a browser should be a better experience than the app. At one restaurant, the option to make a sandwich a combo is just missing on the app, but it's there on the website. Plus there's no way to remove stuff from my cart, but once again, no problem on the site. I like Toast as a platform for ordering food but the app serves zero purpose, just use the website.

It's a good app but it doesn't know when businesses are out of business. Ordered some food just to find out they were closed. This app sucks. Credit card isn't recognized across the board. Seems like you have to link your credit card at each individual restaurant. Can't even store a credit card on the app. Every single app out there lets you do that. Have lost so many points and rewards because of this. Couldn't redeem rewards today. No points earned on my check either.

This is my favorite restaurant ordering app for pickup. It's so easy and quick to select and place an order. The best part is I can quickly reorder favorites with just two taps, seriously! It provides the estimated time for the order to be ready, and notifies you when it's done. So easy, so smooth. I just wish more of my favorite restaurants were using it, because everything else seems clunky.

Unusable. I downloaded this because a new pizza place in my area only uses it for pickups. I prefer not to share my phone with a third party just to order a pizza. But I did it. The app would not show the restaurant in question. It did show two that were closer to me. It seems like the app will only show places within a predetermined distance. Not good in rural areas. There is no way to search for restaurants on the app, it only shows ones within a certain distance. Phones are so much easier.

This is the most frustrating app. If I enter a city and state it says there are 0 choices. If you manage to sign up with more than 1 restaurant, it is a different ID for each one. I will advise the restaurants that I will go to restaurants with different reward programs. Local by Toast is difficult and frustrating to use. Even their customer support could not help me.

Good. Only thing is I wish that there were a way to tweak the controls so as not to get emails from participating restaurants more than once a day. Furthermore I see no way to cancel items in order before sending order through without getting out as if I were going to modify pickup or delivery info which then causes everything in virtual cart to be deleted thus having to start over from scratch! Can't edit payment method either unless you have order in cart.

May or may not set it to delivery. this app defaults to pickup and knowing that the very first thing I do is set it to delivery. well, twice now, this app has automatically switched it back to pickup after I had set it to delivery and didn't notice until it was paid. this is a huge inconvenience to now stop what I'm doing to go get my food and waste 45 minutes of my project time. this is the last time I use this app until it's fixed.

I don't think there's an app more frustrating than Toast. It seems to manage a number of loyalty programs for individual restaurants, but many of these restaurants don't show up in the app. Clicking the link in an email from the restaurant pointing to toast doesn't help. It also does not seem to be able to handle phone numbers linked to different email addresses. it even makes it impossible to order food at certain restaurants.

To be honest, I am annoyed by this app right now. For some reason, my credit card did not save to my account when I added it last week. I enrolled in another local restaurant's reward program on Sunday before paying a nearly $200 tab with my credit card. I logged in to look at my reward points and was disappointed to see that there were no points added for that purchase.

Please fix the search function. I've used this on multiple phones. For such a simple app with 1 purpose, it's hard to actually find restaurants that you KNOW are on Toast, but the app refuses to let you search the name. And it's tricky to change the location. The app should show that a coupon is only redeemable in person. It's misleading to show it's available, but then be charged the full amount upon purchase. Don't show it on the app if it's not related to the app, at least without specifying.

If you're a local business considering hooking up with this app, I would STRONGLY DISCOURAGE IT! I just got ripped off (to the tune of about $60) because the app routed the order through Uber Eats. The app doesn't allow full delivery instructions, and doesn't provide for a convenient way to input unit, apartment, suite numbers... so now, the delivery driver has no clue. And, apparently, they just take your order home. Not the first time I've had issues with this app.

Worst and very dangerous system! I used the system and received and email the next day to sign up, but wrong credit card account. I have no idea who was sent my information. I loaded the app to contact Local by Toast, the Contact Us screen was blank. There does not seem to be any accountability with the App provider. I had to go back to Google Play to find a phone number for the app provider. They are NOT being cautious with our credit card #s.

You have to chase your points. If you're not using a credit card you've attached, you have to remember to convince an employee at the restaurant to type in your phone number. QR codes aren't always available. Then you have to go through the whole thing again to try and use your coupons and rewards. Basically, it's just online menus with a poor interface.

This app is a fantastic resource to support your local businesses! There is an unfortunate glitch that I keep experiencing though. I'll find a restaurant under the "delivery" tab, and when I clock the restaurant, it automatically switches to "pick up" and I sometimes don't notice before placing an order which causes some complications. I wish if you were already on the "delivery" tab, when you selected the restaurant, it'd be set for delivery, not pick up.

Several business owners tell me this is less financially onerous than Uber, but the app is bad. it mostly focuses on places you've already ordered from but the worst issue is that it will silently switch to pickup without giving you any indication. The number of times I've selected delivery only to later find that I have to pick it up is way too high.

the app is completely broken on android. search doesn't work. clicking on restaurants, sometimes it doesn't load, or I have to close the app, and open again. it looks like a college project app, with lots of bugs everywhere. if search is broken. why do they even bother releasing it. I also can't find my receipts for each restaurant. If you pay online, I lose the points, because they don't allow me to add their online receipt to the restaurant payed, on their online site.
