I used to use little ole moon apps, this thing is like one of those on steroids. So many features and alot of info. Got it on sale, so I won't be too bothered if the widget doesn't work perfect. If it did though, this app is worth it.
Reviews for Lunescope Pro: Moon Phases+
← Back to Lunescope Pro: Moon Phases+I purchased the pro version years ago and I love it! Keeps me up to date with the cycles of the moon, and helps me to plan my life on a lunar schedule which always feels most natural for me. I would actually pay for this app again! I think it is very simple but so great.
Love the app especially the live calendar and would recommend it 100%, HOWEVER navigating the moon by dragging is really clunky, I don't like how using my finger to translate the screen also makes it rotate or how if you drag your finger near the poles it does a full 180°. All in all great app, but would love if navigating the moon had similar controls to those of Google Earth or Google Moon
Been tucked up in the top left corner of my screen for over a decade and used regularly to check when best to image the universe (bad bad light polluting moon light). Big shout out to the developer. Best in class. Elegant design.
Widget very useful indeed. App has problem on Galaxy S24+ - the view goes very dark. Map mode briefly shows data then appears to rotate and goes too dark to see anything. Don't remember this issue on old phone with earlier Android version, but doesn't work correctly on Android 14. Hope soon fixed :)
Phone app is nice, but I what I really wanted this for is my watch. Unfortunately, the watch side of the app is disappointing. The watch face looks nice and is accurate, but there were no customizable complications. The tile was useless. It didn't update to the correct phase and so was just a nice picture with wrong information. I'm really hoping whatever is wonky with the tile gets fixed because I paid for this app and was a promised a functioning tile.
I've had this app installed for a couple of years. The live wallpaper is the most beautiful thing ❤️ I would highly recommend it!
Nice app but a bit buggy and missing features When you zoom in on the map it becomes too dark to make out anything. Can't seem to fix this. Control of rotation is quite tricky. Could do with a few things like spherical view locating moon, sun etc relative to earth.
Great app! I absolutely love it and dont rlly think theres much wrong about it that im personally concerned about. Other than i would love to be able to see the sun in the BACKGROUND, especially because i have this set as my live wallpaper it would be awesome to swipe on my wallpaper and see all sides of the moon PLUS the sun!! Great job💯🔥🌝
Please make a calendar of the entire solar system! Bought the pro version. Very satisfied. It has become indispensable and understanding and predicting human behavior. Was a skeptic, now a Believer. The Moon effects the Ocean tide. People are mostly water. Most of the water in people is in the brain sack. After years of using this app I can say with great confidence the moon definitely does 'something' to people... predicting when it will do that something is possible with this app
There is no similar app on GP that even comes close to the functionality & info in this app. When Google assigns the term "TOP DEVELOPER", Sterling Udell's apps should be the "standard" by which all others "given" that designation are judged. Purchase his TerraTime, PolyClock, and Converter Pro, as I have, & you'll further understand why I make that statement. I haven't noted a significant bug in any of his apps. He also promptly answers all inqueries. He is the best Dev I've encountered on GP.
After trialing several of the other MOON INFO" apps, I chose to pay the pittance required and, because of its ease of use and genuinely great features, I have used this app for more than a decade. Whenever I have to get a new 5 and phone, this is one of the first applications I load onto it.
Still adore this but I'm downgrading a star because the widget is not showing up on my new note 10+, for some reason i cannot find the programme. is it called something else? Back up to Five, such a fast response. Thank you for the information. Somehow I missed that in the description I was going completely berk trying to find the widget.
When my wallpaper reverted to Samsung default, I thought it was a bug. But no, it's Lunescope, "disabling" my live wallpaper (which I do not use!) because I have an "unlicenced" copy, even though I bought it. Please fix this, as getting my wallpaper reverted daily is no fun.
Great app. Something just feels off when navigating compared to Google Earth. Also, developer has removed all moon base locations for what he claims is security. The odd navigation makes it feel like the moon is a sphere shape, when we all know it's flat as a pice of paper. So flatten it out, add the alien moon bases back in, and Ill give you that 6th star.
Ten stars for not embedding trackers and not demanding excessive permissions!! BEWARE, tho (espec. older phones?): APP OCCASSIONALLY (monthly?) DRAINS BATTERY, in a day/night, IN THE BACKGROUND WHILE APP IS CLOSED. I've long loved this app for the various ways it keeps one in tune with lunar cycles and moments; for its sensible, attractive interface; and for working with old and new devices.
What happened to the shortcut? There used to be the image of the current moon phase for my area right in the shortcut, so it wouldn't even be necessary to open the app unless more info was wanted. Losing this option is very disappointing. After a reply from the developer, I added the adjustable widget to my home screen and have just what I wanted. Updating review to 5 stars. Thank you!
Does what it says on the tin. Pretty much my go-to app when checking lunar issues for astrophotography sessions. Installed on my mobile and dedicated astronomy tablet. Gives great summaries of all I need to know. The 1x1 widget a useful reminder 😀 5* Recommended. Developers - I like your tweaks and optimisations. Keep it up. Good job.
It's a nice little app. However, there should be an option to turn off notifications for events not visible to the user. I keep getting a repeated notification, even after I swipe it away, for an active penumbral eclipse, which is not visible in my location - which the app also tells me. An option to disable notifications for non-visible events is required.
Don't stargaze without it! Know exactly when the moon will be out of your way for observing. Functional and beautiful. As if this app couldn't get better. The WearOS watch face gives great at-a-glance moon rise and set times. It also supports complications, so you can add other widgets to the watch, such as sun rise/set times. Looks great, too!
