I've been enjoying this app so much this week that I've decided to post a review. I completed my seven-day trial and have decided to continue with the monthly membership. I've opted to follow a muscle-building regimen (for reference, I'm a tiny lady), and it's been fantastic so far. I'm really enjoying the exercises since they're prepared ahead of time and I can go at my own speed.
Reviews for MadFit: Workout At Home, Gym
← Back to MadFit: Workout At Home, GymSo far, I'm pleased with the app. They are really draining! The varied degrees of difficulty and individual coaching appeal to me. The food is delicious and simple - there are snack alternatives as well. I appreciate how everything is laid out for you and how you can change up your exercises and meals.
I enjoy the app and I love how accessible the workouts are. I think it would be cool if there was a way to plan your workouts ahead of time, like if you could add workouts you want to do to a calendar so that they're saved for later in the week, and then check them off once you complete them. Just a suggestion 😉
Not. Beginner. Friendly. Workouts. BARELY. BARELY. Demonstrates how to do workouts at the beginning of each set so you're left SCRAMBLING. There's no designated workouts for "beginners." I'm not overweight by any means but I am out of shape because I stopped working out for a while. It's so frustrating and hard enough to start working out again, and it's so discouraging to see that there isn't a way to filter or TAILOR your work out preferences in an easy way. Really disappointing.
I have had this app for a wile now and I love the workouts and I love maddy but it will take way too long to load sometimes. It will get stuck at the loading screen and is very frustrating. I have force stopped, deleted and re installed, cleared the cache. I've tried litterally everything and sometimes it just will not load or open. For me it wasn't that bad in the beginning but now it's just ridiculous.
I follow on Instagram and YouTube, so I decided to download the app because it was highly promoted and sounded cool. I am a college student and don't have a gym membership because of that. I was going in with the expectation that it was free. I totally get why there is a charge. I just wish that was clearly communicated. I love the videos on YouTube, though. Just can't justify paying a lot right now.
Intense! The finest exercise app, 10 out of ten This is the program for you if you want a tough exercise that leaves you dripping wet. I tell everyone I know about this app, especially during lockdowns when gyms are closed. I haven't tried any of these meal prep ideas, but they appear tasty and simple to prepare. This purchase will benefit both your body and mind.
Edit: The MadFit customer service team worked with me for weeks to get my app working for me! I am very impressed by the dedication and customer service! I'm super disappointed in this app! I love Maddie and her workouts, and when the app works, it's great! But it hasn't opened in weeks with everything I've tried, so feels like a big waste of money. I'm hoping to still hear back from someone but I'm losing hope...
I purchased the lifetime membership when it was promoted. Since then, I've changed cell phones & redownload the app. I entered the wrong email (browsed w/ 1, purchased w/ my main email), its not giving me the option to log in w/ the right email. I've force closed, uninstalled/reinstalled, it's locked into the wrong email, no option to log out. I've emailed the issue to team@madfit using my main email as confirmation & haven't received a response. I don't want to have to pay again. Please help.
I can't use touch controls with my earbuds for the workouts, and there is no feature to back up/forward the videos by 10 seconds like on YouTube. I also can't cancel my subscription?? I bought 1 months worth for $20 to try it out, but the app doesn't show up on my Google play subscriptions and there is no where in the app to cancel it either. I thought maybe because I selected the $20/a month my subscription would cancel on its own but I got charged $20 again, but now I can't access my account!
I love the madfit workouts on youtube and wanted to support the app. However, every time I try to make an account it says "App not active:the developer is aware of the issue. You will be able to log in when the app is reactivated." I figured this was a weird, one time thing. I tried logging in again, a few weeks later, and have gotten the same message every time :(
For the time being, the recipes appear to be too large for me. But I really like how the menu is put up. Another reviewer suggested looking through previous exercise logs—this is a fantastic suggestion! I'd want to see a monthly or yearly summary of your exercises to see what days you worked out and what routines you completed. I'd like to see a daily notes section for weight and activity.
I'll say more later, but for now, keep it simple. Everything about the show is fantastic. Keep track of your exercises and create shopping lists for well-planned meals. I enjoy getting a workout in and learning a new skill through the tasty dishes and training. They're all excellent; they're concise and inspiring. There is so much diversity that I never get bored.
I really love this app, but I think one of the biggest downsides is the recipes do NOT list how many calories are in each recipe which are pretty important and dieting. Honestly, I wish there was an option for a meal plan to be created for each person's individual goals. And I wish there was a way to make it so I can add all the recipes I want to instacart too. Would be very convenient.
I enjoyed the app! I did the 12 week program and it really helped me get fit.. I liked all the workouts; they were easy to follow. Sometimes the timer would freeze and in the beginning it took a while for the workouts download, but otherwise it was a pretty smooth experience. I never used the calorie counter or the meal plan since I wasn't trying to lose weight, just trying to get stronger, and it really worked out for me!
Love the workouts just wish there was an option to listen to music. There is currently a button to try to listen but it's not working at the moment. I hope it works soon. I also wish there was alternatives to the workouts in case you don't/ can't do a certain workout. However, I love this app! I've followed madfit on youtube before her app and always loved the variety of workouts she has. Her dance workouts were the best for me as they didn't feel like a workout and were lots of fun!
I downloaded this app because I love MadFit YouTube programs and I wanted tracking. I would give this app more stars (probably five) but the app is so buggy especially when I'm closing out of workouts via my phone or finished with one I've cast on my TV (especially when it's a yt video). 70 % of the time I have to manually enter my own minutes because it'll mess up the time when it's entered into my tracker automatically. I'd also love an option to play my own music along with her directions! 💖
I like the interface and setup of everything, including the meal plans and workouts. However, I noticed quite a few spelling errors, which kind of bothered me. Overall, I think it's a great app, but I do wish it was more affordable and had some different options for the workouts, like ones without jumping since it's hard on the knees. I'll stick to Maddie's YouTube for now, but wowwwww! CONGRATS MADDIE!!! Been a fan for a long time.
Downloaded the app, paid, and then made sure to cancel my renewal so I wouldn't forget as I wanted to try it out. Now I can't access anything at all. If I try to login it says I don't have an account. If I try to start an account, it says I already have one. I cant find any way to report issues or reach somone for support. So essentially I paid $21 for nothing.
It was done in-depth and extremely skillfully. Every fitness and nutritional level is catered to. I suggest this app since the workouts can be done anywhere and the food is delicious. Because I don't spend all of my time creating my own programs, I have more time and energy to devote to other things. Because I believe in the model, the training techniques are unusual.
