Reviews for Mayo Clinic

Constant server time outs.....I thought it might be my connection so I connected to the mayo guest wifi and it makes no difference. I couldnt retrieve test results or look at messages. Frustrating. I'm all for using the app to communicate, but what good is it if it doesnt work?

it's not good anymore. You can't get in and then it tells you that there's trouble on their end try back later. this will be my second time calling today. There's clearly a problem with them updating the app. Like everyone else updating their apps you can't use them afterwards, because it will not let you log in. Shame on you just call the patient instead of asking us to respond to an app portal that was once working now don't. Not broke leave it alone don't fix it was fine until now.

the care is great, the app needs major improvements. for some reason there's a "refill your prescription" section on the app which does not whatsoever let you do that.

It seems every time I try to use it, something has changed, and I need a new password. This is very frustrating to someone who doesn't like computers.

Pretty well designed app. Not being able to copy data from the app to the phone to discuss with other providers is a pain. Timeouts are short. You can't read a pdf without getting timed out.

Takes an enormous amount of time to be able to login, then, in what I consider an unreasonably high percentage of the time, the response is "cannot connect at this time, try again" or something similar to that. Would like to be able to block all the "we care about your health" pitches. It takes too long to get logged in only to see the message is a "form letter". I get suckered into checking the messages (for 3 individuals) as it just might be an important message about their actual health.....

I do not like the app. It won't open much of the time. Once you read a message, it still shows a notification, as if it was unread. The item you need to see is a pure mystery, as it may say you have a message but when I cannot find one, and waste a ton of time trying to figure it out...I call in and am told check in questionnaires! Many windows won't open, and the app closes out intermittently.

Best care ❤, app needs a bit of work. Don't let reviews make you in anyway think the actual doctors, nurses, staff aren't top notch. They are absolutely 💯 the kindest, empathetic people. Not to mention the best health care on the planet. The App is slow. It could be my phone. It still works for my needs. For me it's a convenient option to get a overview of my health profile, notifications, etc.

Alright, you guys have to get it together! I've called about the app two days ago. Ever since they did something 10 days ago, I can't read my messages. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. I really hope none of the messages are important. I plan on making the 4 hour journey back home from Mayo this morning. Glad the medical service is more advanced then this app!

No longer able to use biometric log in. Had to reset password because people with chronic health conditions often have memory issues. FIX IT! Also, it would be nice if we could see lab orders so we know that what the Dr told us was requested was actually requested. Too many times I have had to tell the tech what to do and call my team to get things sent over to be straightened out.

Just before the new update I couldn't use the app to view my account and with the update, I still can't! It takes me to a website, I enter my info and then I get an error. I don't know what the error means, it's not for an invalid username or password. This is super frustrating as I have to call in to make a payment instead and the phone system is not user friendly and takes forever and a day to get through all the prompts for info.

I only get the test results that Mayo processes themselves- not the ones that they send out elsewhere to get processed, which is most of them. And the ones I do get, I can't see them because they have the pages with the lab results scanned on top of each other. Before Mayo "improved" things, there were no problems. At that time I would have rated this app a five instead of a two, like I did now. I have to call Mayo every month to see my lab results. It is counterproductive and annoying.

Updated 1.30.24- been having a horrible time even using the app due to constant crashes. Uninstaller cause it's absolutely maddening! I would probably not give it 5 stars, it's not very user friendly, too complicated to find things & it's very inconsistent when it actually works. Ill get an email that I have a message or new lab result, go into the app & it's not there.

In general this app has been great. However, I have been using it for a few years & there are 2 major drawbacks: 1) Mayo switched to a new patient portal software a year or two ago (I forget exactly when) and I lost a large amount of my information from the old system. A huge hit for me was losing all emails/messages with my care team. 2) I have been having the same login issues that others mention and keep having to uninstall & reinstall the app. Very frustrating!

I hate this new app. The navigation is not easy at all, it crashes multiple times if I have even one other thing open on my phone, when you go to appointments, the tab isn't immediately intuitive to take you to the upcoming ones right away. The messages section is confusing, the past visit summaries are terrible, too - there is no font differentiation between read & unread messages. Not worth your time at all - use a desktop

Good, but not great. When I'm looking for an available time for an appointment, occasionally it will show that there isn't anything at all, but when I go on my computer there's tons of openings. Additionally, I wish the ability to clear notifications was an option. I don't really care about viewing every single estimate, but the notifications linger forever.

Seldom able to connect to Mayo Clinic using this app. I'm running a Galaxy S9+ at Android 9 (Pie). There is absolutely zero user feedback at the login screen. It simply doesn't work regardless of whether you use WiFi or cellular data. Once inside, there is an abundance of information available, but it is of no value when you constantly remain unable to login with the correct credentials. Not a new issue and even Mayo Clinic staff acknowledge its deficiencies.

Very buggy. The app can't seem to make up it's mind whether it wants your fingerprint or your username and password to log in. Navigation isn't intuitive. For instance, if you want to send a message to a specific provider, you don't go to the message tab. You go to the health record menu, then select care team and recent providers to find the one you want to send a message to. I would think that list would pop up when you select the recipient in messages.

The latest version is not as user-friendly as the previous version. For instance, when viewing lab results, hitting the back button sends me back to the top of the list, so I have to endlessly scroll back down each time. It also takes about twice as many clicks just to log into the app. Appointments are not front and center as they should be. No "dark mode" possible either, regardless of system settings.

Every once in a while, I can't sign in. Usually, it goes away in a day or two. I haven't been able to sign into the app for weeks now. I tried clearing cache, uninstalling and reinstalling, resetting my password. Nothing works. What good is the app that holds all of my medical data if it doesn't work? I can sign I to my portal on my computer, but who wants to do that when I'm not at home? An 800 number for issues should at least be on the splash page so I'd know who to call to fix this hot mess.
