So here's my honest take on mconnect Player – Cast AV. I've tested a bunch of media player and casting apps, and this one's pretty solid. The core functionality works really well - I've had no issues sending videos, photos, and music to my smart TV and wireless speakers. The interface is user-friendly, though it can be a bit overwhelming at first with all the options. Compared to some other apps, the free version has fewer limitations, which is nice. But the ads can get pretty intrusive, so you'll probably want to pay to remove them if you use it a lot. Overall, it's a capable app that gets the job done, though it's not perfect.

Pros

  • Tons of supported devices - TVs, speakers, NAS, cloud storage, and more
  • Handles high-res audio like MQA without issues
  • Free version has most features, no huge limitations
  • Easy to use once you get the hang of it
  • Reliable streaming, haven't had any major bugs

Cons

  • Ads can be really annoying in the free version
  • Menus and settings are a bit cluttered and confusing at first
  • Streaming to some older devices can be hit or miss
  • Occasional hiccups or connection issues, but not too common

Description

Been using mconnect Player – Cast AV for a couple months now. It’s basically a media player app that lets you send videos, photos, and music from your phone or tablet to all sorts of devices like smart TVs, speakers, and other media players. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you do: you can browse your local files, cloud storage like Dropbox, or even music streaming services like TIDAL and Qobuz. Then just tap to cast whatever you’re playing to any compatible device on your network. And there’s also some cool features like support for high-res MQA audio, which is nice. And the interface is pretty straightforward – took me a while to figure out all the options but it’s not rocket science.

Look, if you’re big into streaming media to your TV or speakers, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the ads can get a little annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out, in my opinion.
