This app is great! No menus at startup, it goes straight to the keys and the ads on lite ver. weren't intrusive at all. The only complaint I have is that when pressing the play song button, the selection menu doesn't leave anymore. It stays there until you close the app. Is there a way to fix this?
Reviews for Mini Piano Pro
← Back to Mini Piano ProResponse to developer response: Yes I do have an example - Perfect Piano has a widget of a one octave keyboard that can be used on any android device home screens. Original review: Amazing no-frills app with a nice sampled tone. Replaced P*rfect P*ano with this and won't go back! I would love it more if it had a widget for a quick keyboard access on my home screen (I don't have perfect pitch, and this would really help).
Seriously must have app for music creation. The sampled Bosendorfer piano is the best! Also I have used different MIDI keyboards with it...no problem! Sometimes I use the onscreen keyboard as you can do things with it that are impossible on a physical keyboard like sliding up & down several keys. The other instruments are very good too. Also like the recording file is MIDI which can be changed to WAV if you like. It's very easy to import the MIDI files into my DAW (Cubasis). All this on Android!
One of the best one-time purchases I've ever made. The default Bösendorfer sound is better than most piano apps out there. Great for trying a spontaneous idea out when you're not at a proper keyboard. The screen size of course limits how much you can play at once, but that's true for any piano app.
Does exactly what one wants from such an app. The timbre is great, absolutely faithful, and there is all the required flexibility with respect to the number of octaves visible, expanding the view (and thus the size of each of the keys - great for those with stubby fingers like me!). Bravo to the developers.
The best piano out there so far! Thank you! Could you add a black theme for the keyboard? It would be perfect EDIT: Thanks for replying! Both would be great, but I'd be happy with a everything black look, with a lighter color for the black keys to distinguish them, something like the Arturia Minilab Deep Black Edition! It would be perfect not only for the aesthetics but for the eyes when playing at night. I'm a designer, if you need any help with the UI I can help, for free, to improve the app.
You can record pieces and there is a metronome feature. There is also a setting to mark 'middle C' with an orange dot in case that is helpful. The recordings really help with memorizing melodies. I only wish the sound of the piano was a little deeper, since I have a lower voice. This is a very helpful, well-designed app.
I am using the mini piano pro app. It cost $2.99 and doesn't have any ads. Well worth the price. You can set it to any type of sound you like. Just like any electronic keyboard. There are many settings available but I just use the keyboard to help with finding my notes and to checking that I am singing on pitch. You can play multiple keys at the same time. Nifty little aid.
Really useful app. I use it very regularly to practice reading pieces to be played on other instruments and instrumental infills playing ukelely. Just plug phone into amp. Also useful singing for first note. Haven't found all features yet but fun exploring. Synth and sound effects are useful. Not sure if single finger chords are possible, sometimes I need a bigger phone! Really pleased with it. Currently practicing Christmas carols. App band next year?
Without the ad banner, you get more keys in the screen. Definitely worth it.
Excellent for my needs. transpose, change ranges, record and save. Well designed user interface.
very good app. I love it! primary & secondary setting option, dual instrument can be select for better sound selection. you can see my post on instagram mistry_mike
A pretty good keyboard app. You can do much worse and it's definitely worth getting if you wanna mess around with things. You can change instruments, transpose, add sustain (which is only really noticeable if you hold the key down rather than it ringing out after lifting like it should). There is some notable distortion when playing chords and is more pronounced on certain instruments. Also when opening the app there's sometimes no sound (which can be fixed by just closing it and opening again).
I lead the song service at my church and we often sing a cappella. In addition to being a great little keyboard app, it's a handy pitch pipe too!
I love the app, really nice and clean design and easy to use. One small feature request would be in song mode to add "pause" mode that would pause scrolling and wait for key press. It would be really helpful to total piano beginners (me) learning songs. Slowing down to 0.1x speed helps a lot. But total pause would help even more:)
one of the best piano application available for smartphones right now in the app Store .. I mean if I could zoom in more so it would be easier to play with all my fingers without pressing adjacent keys
Exactly what I needed: a simple piano with a good sound and no discernable latency. I'm only giving 4 stars as there doesn't seem to be a way to connect my Roland A49 keyboard automatically, without going onto the menu, choosing legacy mode and then selecting my keyboard by hand. I've just removed a competitor app that didn't sound as good as this one, but it was able to detect my A49. It's just a couple of gestures, I know, but I just want to play, without thinking about the phone.
I love this app, so many great details! I Love dual instrument on single keyboards for sustaining clear notes, love the ability to control pitch transpose independently from the labels. Adding the ability to disable full screen mode has been a blessing because I use this app live to get starting pitches and other apps I used before forcing full screen would cause me to sometimes play bad keys when I was just trying to leave the app. The interface is good, flexible, easy, and clean.
If you are looking for an app that displays piano keys and nothing more this is it. Just what I wanted, simplistic and well made app. ((Ads are not annoying at all.)) EDIT: This version is even ad free and very fairly priced. I mainly bought it to support the developers. Fit for ear training excercises on the go (obviously you don't learn how to play piano)
great interface and sounds, but i get distortion when playing chords, happens often on the electric piano tone. haven't seen other reviews mention this.
