I just started 2 days ago. I have anxiety, adhd, depression, and multiple medical conditions so I am in hopes that this will help me not feel so overwhelmed and more relaxed to get my feeling out about everything but also to be able to keep track of my feeling and moods. I love the mood tracker and how you can type, voice, or video your entry.
Reviews for Mirror: Mental Health Journal
← Back to Mirror: Mental Health JournalI love to journal and keep my thoughts organized. It's incredibly useful with the features. I can type, record, or make a video. The recaps are pretty good too. However, it would be a 5 star if the recap just had the recap instead of pushing the need to talk to a professional. I know therapy helps. Maybe I am in therapy? I didn't write that in my entry. I wish I could turn it off.
So far, I've done a few entries, but it gives me that ability to kind of like reflect on how I'm feeling. It gives me the option to really get things off my chest. I like the fact that you can either do a text. Entry a video entry or even a voice entry. So you got 3 different ways of looking back on what you've gone through either through that day that week, or even that month.
Is there really no way to edit an entry after you've written it? I need this feature for my Journaling style, to help me organize my thoughts. If it wasn't for this, I'd give the app 5 stars. pretty ridiculous that there are all these features but it's missing this most basic one.
This app is amazing everything is free which surprised me a lot. The fact that you there many different hotlines you can call/ text included is amazing I've never seen another app do that. the app is easy to navigate and the mood check in spot even if it's simple it still is correct on how i feel which surprised me. I would 100% recommend this app to people who need to journal but can have a physical one (ex: nosy family) and Because of the pin you have to put I feel secure that my stuff is safe
I like the journal prompts, as there are a good variety. I also like that you can have a password so that your writing can be kept personal. One more thing to mention is the mood checks; it is unique and you can recieve a prompt to write after. The Mirror app overall is good to track feelings and other topics.
I love mirror, I've only been using if for a few days and usually im stubborn when it comes to mental health. but my therapist suggested I journal, so I got this app and it's helped a lot so far. I like the Ai that analyzes your journal entries. I'm a trans guy so I have a good amount of bad days and it's nice to vent about them to a app instead of people because im that therapist friend, it's also nice to look back on as well. you should definitely download it!!
I really like this app, but it's just unreliable. I've made several heartfelt entries now that weren't saved because of an error message. &so far only 1 video entry has successfully saved. I love everything about it, but I need to know if I'm pouring my heart out that it's not gonna be lost in the saving process.
Wow I love this app but I must admit this app needs a little improvement I think for instance auto sync which allows you to sync your journals across other devices and I think in another option should be allowed to choose to have the extra security or not especially on startup. But overall I said that to say this it's a good app The nice thing is there's no ads or purchases to get in your way but please keep up with the work and great job.
I enjoy keeping track of my moods through this, and the mood sliders feel like a great way to properly express how I'm feeling. Feeling bad with high energy is very different from feeling bad with low energy, and this simple way to express that is 😘👌🏻 I will say this app doesn't have much in terms of mental training, so if you're looking for an app to help you train your mind to think more positively or track your mental symptoms (ADHD, autism, etc), I'd look for a different app.
I love Mirror! It's completely free with zero ads, first of all, which is a huge plus. I love that I can either do a full journal or just a mood check, and the AI summaries are helpful. I love that there are prompts when I'm stuck on what to write. I haven't used the video or audio recordings yet but I love that that's an option.
My only complaint is that there isn't a way to add pictures to my entries. If I could add pictures this app would be perfect. However the pictures aren't a deal breaker it's still a really great app. I appreciate that it's free and nothing is locked behind a pay wall. This is the first app review I've written and for good reason it's an amazing app.
I love this app. it can be prompted or you can write freely. it does mood check ins before and after each entry. offers gratitude journals in the morning which I love. a ask for help/support person feature. a wide range of emotions to select with descriptions. and the option to send your entrys to family/friends. and still more to offer I probably just haven't discovered yet. I would say an appropriate age range would be around 15+ and that's for kids with more maturity.
100% free, this app is simple, clean, and easy to use. The reminders are gentle, but effective, and I have found the mood tracker to be immensely helpful. The prompts for journal entries are highly intuitive and thought-provoking. If you are working on your mental health and trying to stay mindful, please get this app. It is the most effective tool I have used in a twenty year mental health journey.
This is by far the best app for journaling your feelings. There's so many different writing prompts to choose from or you can just write, talk or video your entry. I love how it's free and has no ads whatsoever. You also set your mood daily and after every entry so you can look back over a week, month, year etc.. As a lifelong sufferer of anxiety, pani attacks and ADHD, this is exactly what I need when I just need to get the feelings out. Thank you Mirror.
this is a really great app for logging your diary entries thinking about 10 minutes video time which I don't think is enough but hey you can do multiple entries it asks you your mood before and after and that's always great you get a chance to track your mental health that way.. however I think you can use a little more help when it comes to the simplicity of the app. I'm not text savvy and I got it after I played with it for a minute but I would have preferred to just be able to jump Right in.
I find Journaling difficult to be consistent with and frustrating in the traditional method of writing out thoughts with pen and paper. Partly because I can't read my penmanship. Partly because what I have to say feels impossible to fully connect with and be concise. This app has prompts and a voice to text option that make it easy and enjoyable to journal daily.
the summary is very generic not really helpful. once the entry is saved, there is no way to go back and correct spelling mistakes. there is no autosave function. last time i used this i lost a massive wall of text because it does not automatically save it. i wanted to keep adding to it before saving since saving would mean i would not be able to edit later. so stupid! great idea, terrible application!
having journaling opportunity at your fingertips, in or out of a moment, with or without service. Feel it, acknowledge it, learn from it, gaining new coping mechanisms and insight, growth. I love it!! counseling for people that haven't found healing from people that teach from books or curriculum. sincerely, Thank you!!! Great name, too.
Good ol' pen and paper just doesn't work with my on-the-go schedule and I like that I can make audio entries while I'm driving. The layout and concept are simple and helpful, however - I need more than 10 minutes to make an entry and can't stop on the road to fiddle with my phone to pick up where I left off, so I lose half my entry. I would also like to see more variety in emotions. I appreciate the high/low mood bar, but not all of them quite fit and it'd be bonus EQ to name more emotions.
