So here's my honest take on MuseLead Synthesizer. I've tested a bunch of music creation apps and this one's pretty solid. The synth engine sounds great and the multi-touch keyboard is really expressive. The music theory tools like the Circle of Fifths are super helpful for improving your skills. Only downside is it can be tricky to get the hang of at first, but once you do it opens up a ton of creative possibilities. Definitely recommended if you're into making your own tunes.

Pros

  • Expressive multi-touch keyboard for playing melodies
  • Tons of music theory features like scales, layouts, and Circle of Fifths
  • Works as a full-fledged MIDI controller to use with other apps
  • Sounds great and runs smoothly on my older phone

Cons

  • Learning curve is a bit steep at first
  • Took me a while to figure out all the features
  • Can get a little repetitive after extended use

Description

Been using MuseLead Synthesizer for a couple months now. It’s basically a music creation app that turns your phone into a real instrument. Pretty solid if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you do: there’s an expressive multi-touch keyboard where you can play melodies. It’s got scales and layouts to help you explore music theory, plus a handy Circle of Fifths feature to practice chords and progressions. And it works as a MIDI controller too – you can use it to control other music apps on your phone.

Look, if you’re a musician, producer, or just someone who likes to mess around with synths, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the learning curve is a bit steep at first – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.

Superb app, lots of fun to mess around with. The only little addition I would like to see is the fretboard dots when you choose guitar tuning. Apart from that,...

Fantastic alternative to geoshred. Android latency does not seem to affect the performance of this app. Kudos to the dev for such a fantastic effort. A little glitchy at times.....but...

I love this. From the UI to the layout and the playability. Would like a Drop D tuning setting and a more grungy distortion tone but I am really pleased...
