Latest update (3.1.36) finally resolves many irritating bugs. Great job.

My favourite music player by far. I already have all of my music set up in folders, including one that I place all my favourite tracks in, so I don't need or want an app that tries to create libraries or playlists to work from. This one does exactly what I want from a music player. It's a bit like the old Winamp for PCs in this respect. It also provides a graphic eq that can store multiple customisable presets. This app is one of the first apps I install on a new phone or after a reset.

After an update (Oct 22) tracks do not advance when screen is off and you're using a Bluetooth speaker -- like in a vehicle. Emailed support but heard nothing back. (Nov. 7) Moving on to a different player. Before update, I'd have given it 5 stars. Now, not so many. Developer claims power setting, but that is not the issue. Other folder players work fine.

It plays music in 432hz, and it doesn't have hiccups like other apps. also it has clear and easy to understand folder mechanics to make accessing your music easy. one thing i really would like to be i proved though: when i access my folder i dont have thumbnails of my music, whereas when i am in folder selection (many folders of music in my music folder) i can see the thumbnail of the first track in the folder. i would really love this being fixed, so i can rely on cd covers for choosing tracks.

Very good app, the only problem I have is that often the 'next' song can't be played, it then skips to the song after that (only when manually forcing it to play the next before the previous song ends). It says it's unable to play the song, but it plays fine when you press it multiple times. Seems a problem with loading it in time or something like that... Would be five stars if that could be fixed!

This USED to be my favourite music player for music stored on my phone; it analyses all the folders on your phone super quick and will show them exactly where you expect them to be. Several months ago (after a big update) things started to act differently (on both my android phones) the "musician mode" only works if you restart the app after activating it, the search function became nearly unusable and it often plays a totally different song than the one you select... Pleeeeeaaase fix this!

I love this app. Been using the free version for about 3-4 years without any issue across three phones. But recently, after buying the full version the player would skip some songs randomly. Sometimes it won't play a song even if I manually selected the song. An error that says "not playable" would pop up and skip to the next song. I would have to manually select (play) the song 3-4 times before it's forced to play the song.

Great easy to live with player. I use it mainly for podcasts. The car/sports mode gives me the big buttons I want both in car and when I'm out and about and can be set as the startup view - great for resuming next time. It has lots of options. Two things it hasn't got are an ability to swap channels and "replay gain" support for equalising volume across tracks. But still worth the 5 stars.

The best. I have bought a few this is great. One thing only disappoints a little, the equaliser although it does seem to have improved (the sound quality was poor). Now I just want more bands for finer control! This would make it perfect. I use it for professional backing tracks in a live situation and it has never let me down in all the years I have used it. Fabulous!

Update 2: Sometimes, once it reaches the end of a folder, it doesn't play the first file. Happens more when the phone has the screen off. Worked flawlessley for years before that. I wish it had the functionality to put the same track more than once in the playlist, though. That would be very useful since I tend to want to sandwich different songs between two of the same tracks.

Best Ever! This app is legendary. It is simple yet powerful. Some improvements: 1. AI integration 2. Creating a new Playlist by multiple selections from an existing Playlist 3. Combining two or more Playlists into a single Playlist 4

This is for you if your tired of the on board music player shoving adds in your face and reorganizing your music for you. I own all my music on CDs and convert it. I don't care for subscription or digital "ownership", not to mention Google who keeps cluttering their player with stuff I don't own while trying to find what I do. You can search and add or remove folders from multiple music file locations, create playlists and make a favorites list all while cutting out Google's convoluted app.

WHY BUY THIS APP! Because it works as advertised. I think it's the best music player app and music organizer for audiophiles with a lot of music. You'll love its' powerful, great-sounding playback, its lean, clean, familiar intuitive user-interface & features like gapless playback, quick BT sync to car stereo, equalizer and more. I've tried the top MP3 music players herein and was disappointed frankly. All were complicated and inflexible for my needs. Most looked like gaming UIs or are packed full of bells-and-whistles for DJs. That said, I now have 9,500+ songs sorted by genre in 40 folders filling 129GB on my phone's 200GB micro-sd card. TWO TIPS: 1. Use an SD card device to transfer (large numbers of) music from your PC to your phones micro-sd card. Transfer time is about 1 minute per GB. Transferring my entire music collection to SD card took about 80 minutes. BTW, 20+ hrs was the estimated transfer time for 130 GBs directly into my phone's micro-sd card. 2. Turn off phone's WIFI-Mobile Data connections when transferring small number of songs directly into your phone. Notifications / actions will stop the transfer. So, I recommend buying the Music Folder Player Full!

Perfect for my needs in every way. I have a ton of folder and subfolders with several gigabytes of music stored locally on the device and this just works flawlessly! If only it has casting (Chromecast) capabilities, I would give it a perfect 5 stars! It's annoying that I have to look at another app when I need to WiFi cast my music. C'mon Zorillasoft, it can't be that hard to add that? Hope you get to it soon

Extremely reliable. This is the player I looked high and low for. Simple, simple. Works great with its widget. Every time I get into the car my audio book starts playing where it left off. Plays by file name and ignores embedded info. Perfect. I have a LOT of files in my audio books. This player handles it exactly as I need it... Alphabetically!

The only audio player app I have been using since 2016. I really like the simple process of dragging and dropping audio files into a folder and just play! The search function comes in handy when you want to look for a specific song. The sleep timer feature is useful. I often listen to BBC news podcast in bed at night. The app will automatically stop playing after a set time limit after I have fallen asleep. I am curious if this app can be compatible with smart watches.

I purchased this app YEARS ago (this is the 4th phone) and there's still no regrets. This app lets you make playlists. I love that we can reorder, it keeps the numeric order of forcibly titled songs (even my computer won't do that!) and folders!! I've only ever had one issue with this app: reaching out via email, the app developer was very polite, friendly, and just reinforced using this app to play music was the best decision I've ever had.

I have been using this app for years. I started out with the free version and ultimately thought the dev definitely deserves my support so I paid for the full version. It really is stable, dependable and it works so nicely. I love it. My only wish is that they would add Android Audio integration to this, then it would be perfect. I can use it in the car when Android Auto is running but the infotainment system in my car is totally clueless about what audio is being played. Let's fix that!

This app allows me to easily organize my music into "playlists" by putting similar music together and naming the folder something recognizable. I have a lot of digital music from growing up, and this app let's me navigate it all without using a PC program to sync or maintain it. I really wouldn't want to live without it, and it being a few bucks for ad free, I really enjoy what this app is capable of.

Best music player ever. Everything you need, nothing you don't. Unlike any other app I have tried it lets you select tracks via album instead of only playlists, search, and alphabetical. As someone who likes to listen to tracks in the order the artist intended, this is a game changer. When I loaded the full app on my new phone, zorillasoft refunded the $1.59 since they could tell I'd purchased it 5 years earlier. No subscription, no BS, just great, honest software.
