Reviews for Music Player

It's pretty good, but lately, it is also playing my downloaded ringtones and notification tones (from Zedge), which I don't want. They're even in a separate folder on my phone. Music is on SD card, tones on device. When I try to delete tones from the player, it wants to delete them off the device. Tried making a playlist to avoid playing my tones, but there's no way to reorder said playlist in alphabetical order. New songs just get added to the bottom. Now the playlist had disappeared entirely.

Update June, 2023: I had to switch to a different music player. This one stopped playing most of my songs, it just scrolls. Samsung 21 My go-to music player for years!! It has gotten little buggy though ('next song' button sometimes advances the player multiple songs; I created libraries tgat have disappeared). But app provides lots of options. Recommend.

Every feature is excellent, a great replacement for Google music, however I do have two issues. I cannot find any options to shuffle a Playlist, as others have mentioned, the way that Google music player allowed me to, and there are gaps between every song played. This issue is very jarring for me, I enjoy listening to albums straight through and there can be gaps up to a second in length, interrupting songs which are supposed to have seamless transitions. Will change to 5 stars if fixed!

Exactly what I needed. I can go to different tabs and still listen to music. I can turn my phone off and the music can still play. I don't even have to go to the app to change the song because of the notification bar which is super easy and organized. The equalizer is perfect for the pitch of what you want for your sound. All I can say is...GET THIS APP!

This is a solid, solid five! For two reasons. 1. Full support for Google's audio casting, includingan icon that's active while playing that lets you change the group volumes as well as the individual speaker volumes. 2. There's a volume leveler (automatic gain control) that can be used to keep the volume more consistent as random tracks from random recordings are played. Things that would be nice to have a. Ability to sort a playlist so that songs with the same title but from different singers could be placed next to one another - so comparison and elimination would be easier (just finished putting numerous Christmas albums into a playlist) But points 1 and 2 are not nearly as common among the existing players as they ought to be. So this is a winner.. b. Ability to remove currently playing song from playlist without having to scroll through list to find it.

I love this app and threw the years it's the only one I trust to have on my phone. It's reliable, and you can use it offline! I would say it's easy to maneuver but the only thing I would change is if in settings or something I could change the layout to suit me a little better. But even with that tiny detail I still wouldn't trade this app for anything and I'll swear by it. Would be cool if I was able to use offline radio on here to its impossible to find a good offline radio app in the store.

I love this music player app. Paid for the ad free version because I love it more than all the others I've tried. However, for past several months, it keeps shutting off after I start a song. Usually, if I can get it to keep working past one song, it'll stay on, but it might turn off a couple times. Sometimes it's after the screen shuts off, sometimes not. I've checked every phone permission to make sure it can run in the background, isn't "optimised" to save battery, etc., but nothing seems.

Just wanted a straightforward music player that works great, and this is it. I've been using it for 8 years, and any time I look for another music player I come back to this one. The only irritating thing is that at random times, if my phone's screensaver activates while music is playing, when I wake it up - by just touching the screen - the music player goes to the next track. Not all the time though. EDIT: Finally got tired of suddenly changing tracks when I wake up my phone. Uninstalled

Great app. Just a quick recommendation to the programmers: I usually make a playlist and set it to continue playing on random, repeating all tracks, but lately after each song, it stops, and then I have to manually go into the playlist and select a song or click next. If you guys could fix this, and add it as a new update, I would be very grateful personally! Not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but it's super annoying! Thanks ya'll!

I like this player. 2 complaints, and they're minor. when I'm in shuffle mode and I hit the back button, it doesn't go to the beginning of the track to replay. it shuffles to a different song. I'm not sure of the purpose of the back button then. 2nd, there is. no tag editor. I can't search for or add album art to albums or songs that are missing it. like I said, minor but I think you can fix them. thanks for listening.

EDIT: Nearly a year and still no response!!!! Downgrading to 2 stars!!!! This is a fairly nice player, and really like the interface and the casting ability. My number one complaint, though, is that whenever I synch a new playlist created on my PC, this app cannot find it unless I go into Android App settings and Clear Data for the app, losing all of my applied settings. I sent an e-mail to the app's support several weeks ago, but no response.

If you lack a decent music player, then this is definitely an excellent free one you can use. The Ads are unobtrusive, and there are no pop-ups so even without paying it's smooth and easy to use. The amount of features are more than worth the price of a very small banner ad slightly covering your browsing. Play speed and pitch shifting, recording feature, ability to cut and edit your files, and all sorts of ways to organize your music. Nothing cutting edge but a great app all around.

This is the best music player out there. So far, I haven't seen many ad's, the mp3 cutter and equalizer work great. Searching for a specific song works very smoothly. Most of all, I love how it shows the album covers instead of having to download and apply them in the app. I can have access to each and EVERY song that downloaded. Most only show a handful of songs. There was nothing wrong with my experience with this music player. I would rate much higher than just 5 stars if I could. Great job.

Good app for its intended use. Nice design overall too, nothing confusing. Only problem is, I can't move any new downloaded songs into any other album. It's permanently stuck in the downloads one. I've tried everything at this point, from updating the app to restarting my phone. It just says 'loading' for a second before disappearing. It doesn't move whatsoever and it's getting really annoying.

After Google Play Music got executed, I was caught off guard and had to very quickly find a new app that would perform the same way. Luckily, this music player looks, acts, and feels just like gpm! The ads in this app don't play audio over your music, rather they're just small banners at the bottom of your screen. Plays downloaded music like a dream, even allowing an in-app audio editor at no expense to the user!

I use this on my Samsung phone to play my own library. Nixed by google play, and left with nothing to continuously play my own music. Tried another (one of the top 10 recommended players), it was okay, but decided to look for something more satisfying and simpler to use. This is very user friendly. And as another reviewer stated, looks exactly like google play which dumped me. Honestly, no effort whatsoever to install. Also, has some additional features that if google play had them, they weren't easy to find, and I didn't find them if they were there. One very important one is simply to have an album repeat itself. I use this on my motorcycle a lot, and don't want to be fumbling, looking on my phone to get the player going again if an album comes to the last song and then ends. Basically I am back in the saddle again. Happy camper!!! Go Music Player!!!

Had installed a couple of weeks ago, liked the sound and features. But uninstalled for one major reason. Found it really annoying that the Album mode does not retain the music in the folders that the music is recorded from laptop. It regroups them on some arbitrary basis, making it harder to playback all the music in a particular folder. Wondering if my folders on the phone had been corrupted, I even spent hours deleting them and re-copying. That did not make any difference. Another app keeps.

I've had this app on my phone for years now, and its knocked it out of the park. The free version of the app runs banner ads, so nothing is interrupted. I have yet to accidentally click on an ad even *one* time. It can find music anywhere in your phone, so you don't have to move things to a different file folder every time you download something. I 200% recommend this app.

I've been using this app for quite a few years and it's honestly the best music player app I've used. It's simple, easy to learn, and overall very good. I've ran into an issue though, which is why I'm giving 4 stars. Recently when I rename a song in my files, it doesn't rename it to the same thing on the app. It doesn't happen with every song, but if this isn't just a me issue, I'd like this to be fixed cause it makes it a bit hard to organize the songs. Other than that though, 10/10 app.

Best music player app I've had! My only wish is for me to be able to keep my the playlist I've built when I switch to a new phone. I swore it allowed me to in the past, but maybe I'm not sure... (EDIT: The new update won't let you remove the mini player from your Notifications window. It stays there no matter what. Still the best music player, tho)
