I purchased this for the drum lessons and the song library. At first it was great, HEAPS of popular songs. They completely gutted it over 6 months ago because of an issue with the licensing, so hardly any good songs now. Who knows if they were properly licensed to begin with. They've continued to charge the same $50 per month, even though the songs are gone. Going to be looking at other options, YouTube has a better song library and it's free.
Reviews for Musora: The Music Lessons App
← Back to Musora: The Music Lessons AppI highly recommend Musora/Pianote, as I find it to be a really good resource and learning tool for music, I'm trying to learn piano, but as a member, I also have access to be able to learn guitar, drums, and singing! Lisa Witt is a great piano teacher. If you're new to any of the ways to learn, start with the "method" located in the lefthand menu bar. Good luck. Joe
Not a 1 star because of the content, but it is not functional - just use a laptop instead. 1 video uses about 5% of my battery at lowest settings, phone heats up, and if I pass about halfway in a video the UI freezes. Thankfully the video still plays, but to advance a lesson or rewind I have to close the app and reopen. It typically doesnt save progress if you force close so I have to find the lesson again.
Started with this app in 2021. I had access to all the content and music. It was really fun. I bought a lifetime subscription when it was offered. After that, I had to take a break from playing for a few months. Now I find that they've changed a bit - courses I previously had access to now require a further subscription and I can no longer get into them, music requires a further subscription. I have little to access without the further subscription. Feels a bit like a bait and switch.
Great app. love that I can access all the methods in one place. pianote, however, may still have a few bugs. the completion of a lesson freezes the app. although it's registered a completed when reopening, it requires to close the app completely to be able to move on
App is good, but every time I press "complete lesson" the screen whites out and the app is unresponsive until I close it and reopen. Also the app doesn't work with screen off so I can't listen to theory classes without having it on my screen. Using the website is much better.
Great content but unfortunately when you maximise the screen/ turn it landscape on an android phone, within a couple of minutes you lose the ability to pause, rewind or exit the app. I have to force close and start over again everytime I want to go back
after playing a lesson/video i have to close the app to navigate to another video.
Best platform for beginning students who have no personal teacher. I highly recommend even if you have a teacher!
Started using recently after I bought couple of courses on Drumeo, but I unfortunately have encountered a serious issue - when the lesson ends the app just go black screen and I can't do anything at all, I have to kill it, launch it back and mark the lesson as completed manually, which is really embarrassing.
it's not a very easy to use app imo. i have to hunt for my course every time instead of it being right on the home page of the app. I also think locking the content for specified dates is frustrating; I paid for access to the courses and I'm learning quicker than the courses available per day
Hi Team I love what you do but you app on Android has become a lot less intuitive. The home screen doesn't show the method, I thought it had gone entirely till in searched. Imagine if you were a new player and wanted to systematically learn with a methodology, all they would see are challenges and packs. They wouldn't even know the method existed. Please go make it so you can see all courses and put method front and centre. Packs and challenges are great but they don't methodically teach.
Hi drumeo user here. Is it just me or is this app super laggy/buggy? Maybe it's just for phone users but it's starting to get frustrating and time consuming. The content is actually great it's just that it's not enough. I would wish that there would be more song tutorials/play throughs (biggest problem for me) or just more selection of songs in the first place. It is also kinda hard to navigate and it is a little difficult to find something that is useful to me or whatI want at the time.
Lifetime member on a S24 Ultra on 4k streaming capable wifi, using the musora App. App keeps getting worse everytime I use it. It constantly freezes and loses connection (apparently it thinks server maintenance is done every 15min). This has been happening for months and all support says is "we're working on it" and nothing happens. What is the point of paying if I can just go and pirate it for a better experience. Either fix this or you will be losing more and more money everyday.
I've been playing drums for 45 years but I paid for a monthly subscription just for the transcripts. The problem is that you are not given access to all the songs in the drumeo library only a select few each monthpicked by musora. Even after I complained by email and was asked what I would like to receive for the next month I still was only given lower level transcripts and nothing by Rush which I specifically asked for. Although this app would be helpful for allot of people, I was disappointed.
This app has a lot of potential, but the controls leave a lot to be desired for mobile devices. It is clunky, the controls are not intuitive, and for $30 a month, I would just expect a much cleaner finished product. It seems like all of the lessons and music are done well. It just doesn't matter as much if the user experience leads to frustration with the software. Edit: down to 1 star because this is an app, and if you are going to charge $30/month, then it better work flawlessly.
I really, really want to leave 5 starts. The service is great. However with others this app is far to buggy to be charging $30 a month. It's at times extremely infuriating. For example while trying to complete the independence course with El Estepario if you select "practice w/ notation" it'll go about 3-4 seconds then freeze. Full re-install will maybe help for a minute, but am yet to make it through a full lesson. It's one of many bugs that add up. Metrome will also rarely line up.
Great services. But these apps are clearly not getting the attention they should be getting. There are too many issues to list, but I keep getting constant errors when trying to load lessons or play alongs. The iPad version lately has scratchy audio. In both, the click to music tracks almost never works right. The click will be misaligned or play the wrong tempo altogether, and the lead in clicks are useless. You have to scroll through the song list every time you back out. IPad has same issues.
I've been subscribed for 3 months now. The lessons are great, there's a lot of content, and it's a fun community of people learning their instrument. the subscription gets you access to piano, guitar, drum, or voice lessons, so get busy! my ONLY gripe is that it's sometimes hard to find the lesson I was practicing on, but I'm sure there's a bookmark or save feature I'm not using.
If you're just now learning, it's a great app. The classes teach you all you need to get into it and have fun. But, I found many songs that are unavailable. Second, the music often lags or plays ahead of the sheet music, which throws things off, and attempting to get it right is difficult. Lastly, since an update a few months ago, most of the songs, almost all of what I enjoyed to play, were taken off. There are other apps with more songs and cheaper, but if you want to learn this is a good app.
