App is completely useless. Can't log in, and I was displayed the error message "You've tried to log in 5 times, unsuccessfully. You're username has been disabled. Contact customer service." I literally just downloaded the app. Customer service rep was extremely friendly, but told me to log in via a browser as the app is having issues. That's pretty unacceptable folks. Fix the app.
Reviews for myCigna
← Back to myCignaThe app can be used to find my ID cards. For that I have it two stars. But everything else in the app is disappointing. For instance, it requires too many permissions on my phone. If I deny the app access to my phone's location, it doesn't allow me to search for dentists from a location I designate. You can only see dentists based on your phones location, and since I denied access to that, the app errors out and restarts. Terrible user experience!
One of the worst apps I have ever seen. I agree with other reviews. Loading takes forever and, after trying a search, goes back to the beginning and forces you to enter the entire information again (it seems incapable of remembering anything). I wouldn't have resorted to this app in the first case, but the regular (browser) version is almost unusable and rarely comes up with the same search results twice (if any). It is almost impossible to find a doctor using Cigna's software. Unacceptable!!
It used to work before the update in March of 2021, but as soon as I updated it, it stopped letting me sign in. I click "close" on the covid info pop up, and then it will start loading the sign in page, but NEVER finishes, no matter how long I've kept it up. Really sucks to have an app that I can't even access, when the information I need is pretty important. I'm sorry to leave a negative review, but I couldn't even get into the app to report the issue so this was my next option to let you know
I used to like the app. Now it's a complete PITA. They hide important info, and some just isn't available in the app at all. The home page should immediately show where you're at with deductible and max out-of-pocket. Instead you have to dig through a couple screens. You cannot see any prior authorization statuses. Searching for a provider? Don't tap the back button! It takes you all the way back to the near-useless "Home" instead of your search results.
If I could give this zero stars I would. It never remembers credentials even when you toggle the box to do so. The prescription cost lookup tool is literally worthless. It will generate a list of pharmacies, but good luck finding pricing info. Trying to find a doctor doesn't seem to work at all. Everytime you switch to a different module within the app it hangs and often crashes. I am baffled. I am on a new phone on the current version of Android with high quality home WiFi. This app is so bad.
The app lately is incredibly slow. Like 10 minutes to sign in. I often can't find doctors in the app because the Find Care page never loads. Also when trying to find certain types of docs, you have to answer a bunch of questions first. Then it displays 4 "matches." If you click one of the profiles to learn about the provider, you can't go back to the same list. You have to go thru the process and answer the questions the same way to get the same matches. It's dumb.
The chat is horrible. No one is there even at business hours, and when a support person joins the chat, there's no notification about it, so you miss this, and then chat is closed "due to inactivity". On top of that, all the info you typed in beforehand is not visible to anyone who joined after, so they keep asking you about your issue, over and over again.
App is borderline awful. Really slow, kinda clunky. The one positive was it offered biometric login and they took it away in an update like almost immediately after I joined. Provider information is very old. Trying to make appointments based on the info in the app is like pulling teeth, no pun intended. I'm making calls that go unanswered or being outright told "We don't have a doctor here by that name, nor have I ever heard their name mentioned, and I've been here well over a year."
*Update: Sent email as requested, it's now over one month later, still getting same message. Emailing is worthless, like their app. Unable to use app, keep getting message "Info doesn't match". I can log into the website, not sure what doesn't match. I've installed app few times, I don't think problem is on my end, from other reviews. I sent email, hope to get resolution soon.
I'm not sure what apps are thinking lately by not allowing autofill, but if I have to look up my password, enter my pin, and cut and paste the password every time I want to use the app then I no longer have any use for the app. Chrome works on my phone just fine, and autofill works there as well, so I can complete my task a little more discretely and without compromising my entire phone security. I'm not pleased that you joined in on this trend.
Ridiculous App Glitches I have been using the app all of 5 minutes, and I am now done. I was able to login, but after a minute the app kicked me out and wanted me to login again. Okay...whatever! Except that the app kept telling me that my password was incorrect. I reset the password, and it still would not let me log in. I uninstalled and re-installed. Absolutely garbage!
I use the biometric login option so I don't need to enter my complex password. Today the app said it occasionally requires users to enter their password. I did so, only for the session to timeout during the code verification process. Signed in again, only to find out it disabled the biometric login. Turning that back on requires you to manually sign in again! So, yes, I had to enter my password three times to turn a feature back on that was never turned off. Abysmal.
Great Interface, useless information. The app has a nice layout, easy to follow and very intuitive. But when the information in the app isn't accurate and updated, it does little for the user. In the last hour I've called three disconnected numbers, one wrong number, and providers that are not accepting new patients, even when indicated on the Cigna app that they are, in fact, accepting new patients. If we're all paying Cigna each paycheck maybe they can use that to hire people to keep this information relevant instead of spam calling me with health coach nonsense.
Incredibly slow. The wellness features are intuitive and do a terrible job of communicating with connected apps. Getting the app set up for Google Fit required technical assistance and they didn't even know how to do it, I just stumbled upon it while looking for other things. Today it wouldn't let me log on, saying I needed to setup 2 factor authentication. When I tried, it said it "sent a code to (space)". No email address or phone number, so I didn't get a code. Absolutely the worst app. Ever.
Very slow, doesn't always load. It tried to make me set up 2 factor authentication, but I didn't get the email, and it wouldn't let me request a new one (even though there was an option saying I could in 60 sec). I closed the app then came back in. I didn't mention it again. This app needs work, especially since this is the main way they deliver insurance cards.
Freezes, hard to use, and absolutely abysmal login functionality disguised as "security". Every time I setup biometric recognition to make showing my insurance card easier, it only takes me going off the app for a hour before it "occasionally needs password for security purpose". That's not the case, they forgot I had biometrics on and turned it off. This happens multiple times. Yes if it was a few weeks and it didn't turn off biometrics after logging in it would be security. This is poor design
Trying to login and create a password is super obnoxious. Gives you the requirements for a good password and when you give them a password that meets those requirements, it won't let you submit it and proceed if it doesn't think it's strong enough, but won't tell you how to make it stronger. Just won't let you use it. Tried a dozen different passwords before realizing that adding a space to one and making it two words would satisfy it. And then, even then, "Can't process request right now" SMH
The mycigna app loads slowly and I have issues every time I try to login. It will try to authenticate but gives an error that the code couldn't be sent. Navigating between sections is difficult because the app freezes and loads very slowly, sometimes displaying a totally blank page. I experience errors or glitches when trying to enter information to find providers which makes it difficult to find what I'm looking for.
I understand you only made $20B in profits last year and can't afford to hire an app designer but this is terrible. The app is very slow, information and phone numbers for many providers are out of date, setting up biometric is annoying and if you ever log in without the fingerprint, it removes biometric and you have to enable it again. Makes me enter my password manually and locks me out when I get it wrong. When it works it's okay..
