Complete trash. It's incredible how a company can charge so much for a device then completely botch the app. This is exactly what Sonos did. I run an IT company, I'm intimately aware of how to use Bluetooth, and 2.4GHz wifi. The app shows a "unknown machine" as the description above the serial. Does this mean something is wrong or it's a device I haven't yet enrolled? Next, I tap on it and get the message "Something went wrong." Very useless description. Never connected. Returned this junk.

I like having all the data and control on the phone. My wife keeps the remote on her side of the bed. Connectivity is good except for when the filters need replacing, twice now if I choose to not order replacements immediately coincidentally the unit starts having problems finding wifi, hmmm. I'm not one to believe in coincidence but it is remotely possible, just saying. Overall the air quality is much better while sharing a house with 5 cats.

The constant delay between air quality history data and the current data is very annoying.. UPDATE: thanks for the reply from the devs. However, merely having real time stats on the panel does not work if I'm in another room... BTW, not being able to connect while away from home is also a big issue. It makes the whole WiFi connectivity function feel like half-baked, especially when there are a plethora of smart appliance from Nest, Xiaomi, etc. which do suppory remote connection!

The fan I wanted to use this for is great, but this app doesn't seem to be working properly. After registering through the app and (unsuccessfully) waiting for it to detect my fan was up to date, I reinstalled it to troubleshoot the problem. Now, every time I try to log in, the app says it doesn't recognize my email address and attempting to re-register results in a message explaining that Dyson's network can't be reached. It's completely unusable at this point.

The app is fine if you can get it to even connect and load properly. Every time I open it, I'm greeted by a black screen with a loading circle and then I see my fan for a second and then back to the black loading screen saying connecting. It does this on 2 separate phones as well. Takes minutes before it actually connects and let's you make changes to the fan. Useless until that is fixed. I'll stick with the remote.

This fan is awesome! It works really well, just don't lose the remote. We opted for the smart version and it is absolute garbage. The app fails to find the fan pretty consistently. I have in the 5 ghz band and don't have a lot of interference. It just kind of sucks. Not worth the extra money. Edit to dev response: I've tried unplugging it for extended periods. That's not the problem.

I've had the Dyson app for over a year and its worked great until recently. Now at least once a week (or more) it won't connect and just spins. Yes my WiFi is connected and working. It just randomly won't connect and then a day or two later it decides to work. The rest of the time it's very slow to connect, taking up to a minute or more. Extremely frustrating.

very annoying, inconsistent temperature control. in about 20-30 percent of the time, it works as intended: off when reach the set temp, on when it goes below. but most of the time, it won't turn off untill 1-2 degrees over the set point, or it won't turn on even when the temp is already 1-2 below the set point. why the inconsistency? may have to return it.

Does almost everything you want it to, with one noticable acception. You can adjust fan speed, but you can't adjust the heater temperature for the app. I understand that it's for safety reasons, but I'm more likely to sit on the remote and turn on the heater than I am to accidently unlock my phone open the app and change a setting. If you are already in the market for a Dyson, this app is a great companion.

Takes far too long to connect to my devices, to the point where it becomes easier just to adjust them directly. Whenever I open the app for the first time, it spends at least five minutes flickering because it can't immediately load my machines. I'd prefer if it just had a loading circle over the main ui or something, but it keeps jumping back and forth to a fully black loading screen and then back. Very irritating. I have wifi extenders all over my house and no other such app has this issue.
